I'm happy you have another land rover vehicle. I'm interested to see how many warranty claims you'll have by the end of next year. Putting the sassy comments aside, I'm happy you were able to find a new vehicle on sale today that appeals to your interests. Regulations, whatever you think of them, tend to make cars all look and drive pretty similar to each other. It's nice to see the boxy aesthetic getting some love in 2020.

Doug's the type of guy to have multiple generations of the same car at the same time
Walks into LR dealership, “I’d like a Doug-spec Defender, please”
Imagine the look the dealer gave him when he walked into the building and said "THIS is the day I buy a Defender."
Michael Brown get out of my head. I really was just thinking that!😂
He said up front he custom spec'ed it out....of course he did
I kinda suspected you will buy one of those!
Hi
*You were always suspicious.* I knew you were going to comment that! 😄
@@saidalas7763Damn that would've been way cooler
"If you wanna take a vehicle off-road, you take a Land Rover...If you wanna take a vehicle off-road and make it back home, you take a Land Cruiser."
You've gotta like this guy. He's very articulate in his expenses when it comes to purchasing his vehicles. That he's able to justify his expenses is actually quite impressive.
He is smart with his money
He’s probably the smartest car youtuber... look at what he’s done with carsandbids...
He's very very open and honest with his finances and decisions he makes, gotta love and respect him for that. Hope he doesn't think he HAS to tell us why he does what he does though. Wonder if he's gonna do another Dougcember next month 😂
New upload from Doug DeMuro: “Why my original Defender is more reliable than my new Defender”.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
My thoughts exactly when he started talking about compromising,
Doug: i want a reliable, comfortable, daily driver.
Also doug: buys land rover
@@Ianmarcuse 2015?,just 5 years
@@Ianmarcuse glad it has been reliable tho its not a bad thing
Lmao
Exactly
i know right, cant take this guy serious anymore after this lol
1 year after this video
Doug: *I got rid of my new Range Rover Defender, and here’s why!*
"You just look like the kind of person that drives a G-wagon and I don't really want to be associated with that in any way. Now- I should mention I have a G-wagon." LOL
hahaha
getting a new car is the best feeling ever
I understand doug's excitement
Just wish JLR were more reliable! Keen to hear how you get on Doug.
You bad at drag racing sorry ☹️
Joe mama
If Ford bought them back they would be
Nice to see you watch Doug.
Are they still that unreliable?
If you are English, your terrified by two words..... LAND ROVER!! Love the commentary. Splendid. Marvelous and it cheered me greatly. Thank you.
I bought a 2020 Land Rover defender and here is why:
My bank account has 8 figures
not a Range Rover
u brought a car that doesn't exist?
🤣
"My bank account has 8 figures.... and I only want it to have 7 figures, or even 6 figures."
idk why anyone with 8 figures would buy this
I just love how proud he sounds saying "my new defender" 😂😂😂 I'm happy for you Doug and hope you enjoy your car for years.
A couple days later:
*So I got stranded on the side of the road in my Land Rover Defender And Here’s Why*
🤣
Bet
Ultimate driving, Roblox, new car.
LMAO this makes perfect sense lol.
Lmaoo
Doug is so happy / excited about this bench seat I love it lol
I find it hard to believe Doug goes off roading "quite frequently"
I'm pretty sure he and I have a huge difference of opinion about what constitutes "off roading".
Well, when you break down you have to pull off the road. And now he has a Defender.
Off road onto the CNC motors parking lot
Off road to Houston’s lmao
6 months from now: "I bought the cheapest Land Rover Defender in the United States" - Tyler Hoover
“From my daddy Doug”
It will never be cheaper than TFL’s 😂
I can't wait for a new series on "More Doug DeMuro" about him fixing his Defender.
And make big money with each upload. I’m not mad.
Yep, bet this will look more like some of hoovie's car series
He would get more content from a car always breaking down than if it never had issues
well this aged well
Y?
@@lostrebel502he sold it after 3 years
So much passion in this video, you can tell you're exited. This is why all this people fallow you. Keep it up!
I love Foug
I love doug femouro
2020 continues to amaze everyone. Doug bought a NEW car. A revolution has begun.
"No other boxy SUV works for my purposes."
Translation: "I'm too Nantucket for anything less than a Land Rover." 😂
Maybe better than the 200th Outback on the mountain 🏔! 🤨
I love boxy SUVs too! They are just so cool looking and the interior feels more airy.
"I'm warrantied up..Bring it on" Defender:Challenge accepted..
And it probably will. Warranty is great but if it's in the shop and you spending time back and forth to the dealer drop-off-pickup then that 'bravado' nature wears off quickly.
Funny enough when I read this comment doug said it lol.
Who pays for you travel ie hire cars or taxis etc
Man that thing looks nice! Good luck with it!
1 week later: Thiss is my new Carrera GT.
Before I get started, I'm selling my Defender on Cars and Bids
He is a straight busta
Literally, if he could get a Carrera GT, I have a feeling he’d sell a lot of other cars 😂
OMG... THIS is a funny comment!
@@ryan225360 He'd probably sell the Ford GT if it meant getting a Carrera GT
4:16, 19:13, and 21:42 - there's the "real" Doug - I could feel the deep down passion that normally he doesn't show during the videos. Need more of that, man!
“I’m gonna keep it for a long time” lol
Doug is the kind of guy who makes a youtube video to justify to his wife he spent 73 grand on a new car...
He never said that. He said the sticker was that. I assume he got it for ....mucch much less.
The poor little Kia hasn't been there long.
What he doesn't know is his wife has secret lovers, she prefers real men
Greg's Kitchen, that is exactly what I thought he was doing. Such a "man" thing.

Doug Demuro: Doesn’t want to be the type of guy who owns a G-Wagon.
Also Doug: The type of guy who owns a G-Wagon.
Also Doug: *buys a Defender*
This was so unexpected and expected at the same time. 😂
Yeah I thought he would hold out for the bronco!
Please keep us updated. I’ve always been a Toyota person as I do place a high value on reliability. I’m a year or so from being in the market for a LC, Bronco,.. or one of these. Maybe 10K mile ‘updates’! I know I’m not alone. The new Defender looks so damn good.. but many of us are leery.
When he mentioned the dealership I just saw "Jaguar Land Rover Car Is Bad" LMAO 24:33
I read the dealership as “Carl’s Bad Land Rover.”
Congratulations it looks fantastic!!
th-cam.com/video/TEpJEhQsmuI/w-d-xo.html
Yea he looks so sexy standing next to that defender.
I think his second T-shirt looks good too. Very refined, very stylish. Top marks.
I like the color of the defender with the white top looks sharp. Good luck Doug!
It's looks fantastic but it's mechanics are terrible
James May would say something along these lines: Defender? That´s just a glorified overpriced Dacia Duster!
I would be nearly as excited as James May if Dacia brought itself and the Duster to the US. James May has his priorities straight!
There are insanely few affordable 4 wheel drive vehicles in the US. I want Suzuki back, and Dacia can come with them!
Good News!
Love this channel discovered it 3 days ago and watch it on lunch and then when I get home until bed , Doug justifying the defender purchase sounds like my cousin justifying his cocaine habit lol, but I get it love the new defender can't wait for the V8 2 door
I love that the dealership’s website reads as “Jaguar Land Rover Car Is Bad”
i used to live there and never realized that!
I was wondering if anybody else noticed lol
Holy shit
I can't wait for the video where you detail everything that broke and how the warranty paid for itself in the first year or two!
I've owned a 2006 BMW X5 for the last 7 years as my daily driver. I don't think you'll have a problem keeping this Range Rover. Nice car!
Doug is the type of guy who ridicules G-Class drivers but owns one himself. I love it hahaha
I really like how the cabriolet looks like, it looks like a Barbie car.
@@Emppu_T. isn’t it modeled after a Barbie car? I might be getting it confused with another video

Seems like his emotions outweighed his logic on this one.
Nothing wrong with that, dude deserves it and can definitely afford it lol
@@pan4632 For sure.
He never keeps his cars for long so i don't think he will have to worry about reliability. I would not have bought a land rover tho even if i had the money
It's not a marriage; he can sell it tomorrow, if he really wants to.
I think he'll probably keep the car for a long time like he said he would (he'd take a huge hit on it if he got rid of it) but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a different daily driver in the mean time.
He rolls it off-roading:
"Today I'll be getting my first service under my extended warranty on my Land Rover Defender"
Yeah... hopefully wven though he seems to have the same brainwaves as TFL, his defender doesn't end up the same way
@@LessTrustMoreTruth wut
@@LessTrustMoreTruth I sure hope so, although I wouldn't be surprised. I'm curious to see how well this handles off-roading, because of how strenuous that can be hopefully that doesn't send him in for warranty work.
@@ThatCarGuy2 Check out TFL's channel " The Fast Lane" they took their new Defender of road, a moderate off road trail at that, and got a check engine lite for cylinder timing failures on all cylinders, if I remember correctly.
Bumper to Bumper
I’m proud of Doug, he deserves to buy a new car for the first time ever in his life. The Kia did its job. And so did Doug.
