I started playing it myself when i was like 7 years old.. Since then, i have every single cycling manager game😅
I have so many hours on this one, played it since cym 03. But this one 06 was definetly the best one in the series, Linus Gerdemann and Thomas Dekker were such big talents who became like merckx like riders!

I'm not sure, but I think you have morale in this version already. You have progression on your cyclists in career mode with percentages, so you can track the evolution of your cyclists easier. At least that's what I remember. Also I think it was possible to play a whole season on multiplayer. Not the career mode, but just all the ProTour races in order. Could be a later version though, I'm not sure anymore. However, those were some great features I really liked.
I am still playing the version of 2006! Installled it again about a year ago. Now I still play it like non-stop. Have some goals left to achieve! Last goal I finished, was wining the Tour de France with Carlos Garcia Quesada from the Continental team Unibet.com in career mode. Absolutely fabulous game back then but still is! Like all Belgians, I love cycling and in particular this PCM 06 version 🇧🇪
10:30 PCM 2014 was the last game where the AI made attacks like this which made it so good to play. After that it's been always attacks on the last climb only

Oh my...i played this stage soooo many times online and it was the best time ever. The huez stage is also nice. And there was another really long Mountain stage which was played a lot online - cant remember the name. Would be fun to see races with the 06 DB.

But trying to play them there was this 'Disc Verifying Program' which said the disc wasn't there (although it was). I read that this Disc-thing-program already disappeared of the market long ago but the newer Windows-versions don't support it, so it keeps crashing and saying the same. On which version of windows did you play this game? Did you have to install/fix something before it worked? Thanks in advance!
I loved this game (played in my childhood) but I was never be able to play a career mode because there was a really strange training mode...you have to add percentage of training load for each rider during the season...Do you know if is it possible to do it in some different way?
Aaaah, such a nostalgia for me. PCM 2006 was the first ever PCM game I played, think I spent thousands of hours in that game, trying to win every race. The only race I never could win was La Vuelta. I tried it multiple times but I couldn't win it. Also, where did you get your DB from? It was kind of bugged out a lot in the video, Pernsteiner was the only to ride in a Lampre shirt, the rest rode in Bahrain shirts, Astana were all Kazakh champions from Cofidis. I also saw the Spanish Quickstep champ jersey of Juan Manuel Garate, but the spanish champ is Valverde :D

1 thing this game did that current one doesn't, proper tutorials, I actually advise you to play them, they tell you what you need to know for race mode with practice examples, instead of the text based ones we get today. It could even be fun if you tried to do 1 season in this game, there were so many cool features, that were removed over the years, when it came to team management.
I will do the tutorials on stream probably, and then play a short career with 2006 DB in the coming months, like a challenge with a team with 1 goal in that season. 😄
Its at the same time good and bad to see this game. Its good for the nostalgic feeling and its bad because you realize that pcm 2020 and pcm 2006 are more or less the same games only with different Graphics
To be honest Season 2005- 2006 is my favourit one , old but gold. Im not really playing the newer ones because in my opinion they are a downgrade instead of an upgrade.

Play the 2012 version if you have it with the original database. It's a bit more advanced and there are crazy mountain stages you can go for!
