That's where price action is really useful. Don't just trade in moving average, wait til there's a price action formed and then set a realistic stop loss away from that price action. It may not work sometimes but it works most of the time.

Institutions use the 200 sma for long term investing. USOIL uses 200 sma for support.

Rayner i have a question for you that has been bugging me for a while
When you got a trading system for the daily chart that performed well in the past during backtesting and/or live trading but then at some point stops being profitable for a longer period of time - like with the original turtle trading rules you showed & tweaked for us in one of your prior videos - when's the right time to change the system???
This is actually the one fear keeping me from trading live. That my account grows fine for a while but then the market environment changes & it blows up just like it would have with the original turtle rules.

Stick to what works for you. And if it doesn’t, then it doesn’t. The market is dynamic which means new ideas, strategies are welcomed
@@fabkizzrs19 even with sound, profitable systems there's sometimes many months of flat or negative returns. So this doesn't really answer the question of when to adjust. If you change your backtested system all the time, you'll probably miss out on the run ups

1. I don’t have plan, when I place my trade I think price will go there I’ll exit,
2. I don’t know or I’m not sure that’s the key point where I should enter because chart looks parabolic making pullback/ flattop I enter without plan hopes it’s not going down I’m to quick to take profit without realizing downside and then suddenly realized I’m down 5cents I cut it , i try to make 1:2 r/r ratio ( risking 5 cents to make 10 cents)
3. Low focus entry / exit
- Price dropped im bottom of candle price hit my Stoploss I cut it price may can go back up but I don’t wanna make wrong move It’s like I’m betting more on my win side with realizing downside at the moment
How can I improve ?
1. When you fail to plan you plan to fail. You are always wrong until the market proves you're right.
2. Determine key resistance and support dont enter in the middle. Trade on resistance and support.
3. When you have a trade plan stick to it no matter what. You can analyze the trade after it hit your take profit or stop loss.

A better strategy is to place the stop-loss 2 ATR below or above the MA of multiple bounce

You know, as I watched your awesome explanation of the 50 MA at the 8min mark I saw something that was interesting... On that chart, it looks more like the market was pulling back to a previous point of resistance rather than respecting the 50ma...
It's kind of amazing... for every 10 videos telling me to invest a certain way, there are 10 more videos saying that way is wrong, and do some other thing instead.
