I still wish you had the ability to arbitrarily choose who's on what side in co-op multiplayer mode in this game. Ideally, in my opinion, Tim and Tom and subsequently Jon and Emile would be the best two person teams. Tom excels at giving concise, direct orders and being the most vocal of the group while Tim contrasts by being the best listener and taking direction. And when it comes to Emile and Jon, they just don't want to admit how cooperative they can be when push comes to shove
Emile and Tim getting pushed together is a bad team because they're both bad at micromanaging and so often they just get stuck not knowing what to do next.
I think part of the challenge is that players can never predict where they'll be working and have to adapt to the stages, but it definitely makes sense to let players choose where they start
Based on what I know about Jon, that was either a quiet joke he was doing for the canny viewer, or he was trying to get rid of it to get an extra square of desk space and then promptly realized that didn't work when it respawned. While he doesn't say anything, it gives me a light vibe that he was annoyed when it appeared again.
Shawn Shock The funny thing about the lead up to that exchange that just dawned on me is that last time Tom was in Atlanta for a TRG recording session Emile shared a cautionary tale about how alcohol and drugs don’t mix, and what did Tom do years later?
Admittedly there is a risk in doing that as getting moved around could make it so that no one would be able to grab the finished food in time, thus that hard work gets thrown (or in this case belt’d) away, but yeah, if they’d done that maybe two or three times, three star would seem a lot more plausible for their skill level.
@@Rexaura888 Actually, it only saves time on the final order. Plates don't seem to be the problem as long as they get washed. The biggest problem is that Tim and Chugga sent too many ingredients most of the time and didn't put their pizza's in the oven while waiting on ingredients. In this level, you only need to sent the ingredients for 2 dishes at a time. Also, a lot of time could have been saved by chopping some ingredients before sending them. At least as long as the cutting board is free.
@@rendomstranger8698 Yeah, given how cycle based the level is, it doesn't seem too hard to reach 3 stars as there's basically an upper limit. What you'd do is whenever a team is at the bottom, send them enough to make 2 things to cook, so that when they go to the top, their side isn't wasting any time. By the time food is done, the level would probably have shifted so that the top team were then at the bottom and they can serve the food instantly so that they can get the dirty plates for when they get moved back to the top. If you can sort of keep to that pattern, I think that this level should be no problem.
Tim and Emile always made sure that the other side had plenty of ingredients - Jon and Tom often had way too much stuff, they'd make sure they had loads of burgers ready to go regardless of the orders... but then they wouldn't keep up on providing the others the ingredients needed for the orders already lined up...
On this stage in particular I feel like you should only ever send enough ingredients for 2 orders since that's how many cooking appliances each side has, there's only ever 4 orders, and the fact that stations shift so often. Also cutting tomatoes is always good since both sides need them, so you might be able to send them to the other side if you don't need them. But obviously plans and strategies can be a lot harder to execute when you're playing
This series is making me cook more haha. I paused this episode, went into the kitchen and made a little Breakfast Burrito with Bacon, cheese, chopped up Onions, and Tomatoes with some Peppers before coming back to watch the rest.
It’s a good thing for the Guys that there’s no penalty for being wasteful with food in this game. 2:16 Considering the only meat Tim can grab (I hear you gutter rats snorting) on his side is the ground beef, I think any other “meat” would be the wrong meant unless he were to accidentally send back some sliced Italian meat for the pizza. Are there deer villagers named Jane and Jon in Animal Crossing? 4:00 Thinking about it, I’m a little surprised that there aren’t burgers that use pizza ingredients and vice versa on this level. No one wants ground beef on their pizza for a meat lovers or cheese and mushrooms on their burgers for a not-quite-Swiss melt? 5:03 Better, but sadly not good enough. Time for a third attempt. You ever think that, outside of sponsored content/streams, people who develop these games and are fans of LPers watch these sorts of LPs to see what sort of bugs get discovered? I know Clever Endeavor games had viewed some of Tom’s Ultimate Chicken Horse content back when they had just released the game. 7:40 When they moved, why didn’t Jon pass the finished burger down the belt to Emile and Tim to serve up? Would’ve solved their missing plate problem though that could also have wound up creating problems for Tim and Emile down the line. 9:05 Considering how everything else needs some amount of prep, why is it that Hamburger buns in this game come pre-sliced and you don’t have to cut them open? 12:23 Good enough. If they had the forethought to pass down completed dishes down the belt to be served and still done what they previously did, I think they could’ve managed three stars. How dare you cut off Tom Curry, Dan. Next part better start with “SPACE!”, else I’m just going to shake my head in disappointment, arms akimbo, because that’s about all I can do to express that short of words.
Jon and Tom - good at grabbing stuff of convenient belt so naturally Emile and Tim give them a mountain of ingredients Emile and Tim - not great at grabbing stuff off converyor belt so naturally Jon and Tom only gave them exactly the right ingredients for the pizzas they were making
Protip (way too late I know): You can send completed dishes down conveyor belts too. Saw too many dishes just sitting on counters. If you can't send finished plates in pass it to partners on the other side so they can do it.
With the way they button mash trying to grab items off the conveyor belt, it's probably inevitable that some finished orders would wind up in the trash.
This one is difficult, it requires a lot of coordination between the two sides and to be alert all the time on what goes where on which side for that particular moment. And, of course, washing the plates, since the lack of plates slows down the whole process. Still, good job on getting at least two stars here!
I'd pay more than just one Penny to get a sequel, but no one else seems to agree. They think we're not getting anything more and that the fanbase is dead... why can't they see what I see, why can't they hear the lies?
Much too late, but I realize that each side can prep everything but the cooking part for the respective dishes. Might've worked out to prep everything on one side before sending the last pieces over to get cooked by the other.
I love coming back to the lp so much. The dynamic is so fun. It is a favorite game of me and one of my sisters. Have you ever talked about doing the 2nd one?
Is it bad to think that Tom & Tim should switch controls on stage 4-4? Cause I feel like one side keeps getting overwhelmed with too much stuff & the other gets not enough stuff. Plus Chugga & Tim keep forgetting the dirty plates.

Jon and Emile do work quite well together.

Emile complies.

Makes me kinda sad when Emile puts the plate on the cutting board and then Tim immediately assumes he was the one who made the mistake
Tim does seem to be the one prone to the most mistakes in this (I think) so it’s easy for him to assume it was his fault
I noticed Emile doing that a lot this entire playthrough. Just the whole *does something,* "Hey, who did this thing?"

Emile really stepped up his game this level... too bad jon and Tom weren’t handing them enough ingredients, too focused on their own tasks
Well, more or less. Putting a plate on the cutting board and forgetting he placed it there is not a great sign. He improves way more in future eps.
