I had no idea that there were people other than me who were still playing Begreli.
Come over to Greece 🇬🇷 and you are going to change your mind
You should check out the begleri community on Instagram, there are a lot of people playing with begleri, mainly due to Aroundsquare
There's a similar type of instrument if anyone's interested. Basically replace the nuts with a spherical shaker. The instrument is called a "Kashaka"
Oh, I've seen those before! They look really fun to play with and they sound really cool too!
I have a quick question for you. I know that you usually make paracord related videos, but i was wondering if you could do a begleri tutorial? If not then could you maybe do a commentary of how you learned/got into begleri? I would really love that and also thank you for making such high quality videos.
That's a great video idea! I'll be sure to consider both, thank you for your kind words as well!
@@TheWeaversofEternityplease!
Love it. Thank you as always for all the great ideas and hard work you put into the channel.
Hey Tim,
Thanks for this vid. I once tried to make a Begleri using some other tutorial and it wasn't great lol. Definitely gonna try again with this tutorial, and i feel it will be a great success.
Atb and happy holidays
What size hex nuts did u use?
I used 1/4 20 hex nuts and they're the perfect fit between loose enough they'll slide and tight enough that when you're swigging it around they'll hold still.
i made my own monkey fist begleri since i found your channel about 2 months ago and i’m playing with them every day. i even made a few for my friends
Awesome!
Made mine from a shoelace and couple of nuts 5 years back when i first saw your videos. Still have in my bedside drawer.
this is great, i love that these are fast and cheap, i should try making some as fidgets for my classroom and if some “walk off” itll be nbd
Exactly! Cheap and fun! lol
Great!!! I'll do it very soon!! Thanks! 🤓
You're welcome!
Nice advice 👌
And then you can hand it to your partner at the end of the evening and be all like *_"Hey honey, I got you these nuts"_*
Cool! Anything that helps people look up and see the world is welcome. Thanks.
This is nuts!
🥜🔩!
This is awesome Tim. Perfect content.
thank you for this just remember to take your time and it works pretty well. mines not great but im gonna redo it later and its harder to take of than i though in a good way
I got all the stuff to make one. Just curious but did u use all 2.5 feet of paracord for the 1?
New question. What is the second knot called
Celtic Button Knot, I have a dedicated tutorial for that here th-cam.com/video/2WvZf9Dvi9c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=yV8gvqZbDzeDO0KO
Is there a way to do this with a thicker cord in the middle without interfering too much with the playability? I would love the thickness of a round braid (or some alternative) for the length of the cord between the ends. I think it looks a little nicer on the wrist. However, if it is unplayable, then it kind of defeats the purpose of having it in the first place. What do you think?
Currently staring at my phone trying to figure out how to stop staring at my phone
Officer : I was not playing with my phone while driving .
Never sling and drive! lol
Question - how do you prevent the hole at the end of the bracelet (the loop to hold the bracelet together) from closing while playing with it? Mine has closed up and I can't open it again lol.
so how do i make this im so lost bc ive never tried strings before
Do you have that link to Stainless steel beats?thanks
Putting this on my paracord to-do list!
Great to hear, have fun when you get to them!
Same here
Wow that 2nd know never seen one tied like that thx
Great!
Got a link for the hex nuts?
well just wanna say i never get dopamine hit so i dont care if the video is small or hr long, if the video is good i can watch it full!
Where can i get those silver beads? they look so good
Best Video title ive ever seen
missed an opportunity to make the joke "playing with your nuts"
Love the paracord weaving vids! But Goddaym yk what u were doin with this title 😭😭😭
Nuts i can play with and wear, i already have that 😂.
The title of the video is crazy
It seems obvious that the Angel of Paracord has placed a hex on you. Nice work, great idea. 👍
👼 indeed, thank you!
Does melting the tip make the knot stay together? Or do I just pull real tight
It helps with preventing the end from fraying. If you pull really tight, it will most likely stay together, but I'd still suggest melting the end.
It literally says NUTS you can play with 😂😂😂😂😂
Very nice and I may make it but you talk about phones wasting our time when you wasted some of my time with too much talk.😉😂😉 Half joking of course.😁 I will subscribe and am wondering if you could make a video of a similar bracelet that uses more braided paracord with a quick deploy release. Say a three foot length of cord or a bit more. A useable length.
550 paracord is 4mm in diameter. What is the brass hex nuts' inner diameter ? 4mm Or larger?
The inner bore of the hex nut is about 5 mm
@@TheWeaversofEternity Thanks!
Wherr can I buy does nuts ? Couldn't find a link. Great video.
Any Home Depot, or almost any hardware store or other store that sells fasteners.
3:12 where i can find those type of beads? I have looked for it but couldn't find it pls provide a name or a link,❤❤
Wait are you saying I can play with these nuts? 😮
😂
Having actual directions or both knot names would be great.
The first knot is a scaffold knot, tutorial here: th-cam.com/video/8Zcs3GzGkko/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aow89mLBhDbJF28P
Second knot is a single strand diamond knot, tutorial here: th-cam.com/video/2WvZf9Dvi9c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=r6tJes_fd6m77XqA
Can someone recommend an alternative to brass that doesn’t turn skin green or oxidize in a weird way when worn on the wrist? I wanted to try this out but remembered the metallic smell that brass/copper have. Correct me if I’m wrong though (I’d love for this to be a non issue)
Just stainless steel bolts?
You can just use stainless steel as you mentioned. They'll work just fine.
Well i have a set built in my body 💀
Yeah but you probably don't want to play with those out in public unless you like having the cops called on you...
Yeah. Nothing beats the built-in features ☠️☠️☠️
What is the measurements for the hex nuts?
Oh gosh, hex nut sizes are the worst to figure out. Measuring across from one flat side to another it's 1 cm in diameter and in terms of thickness about 5 mm. I know hex nuts have specific sizes, but I for the life of me can never figure it out lol
@@TheWeaversofEternity should be M6 nuts I think.
Those look like about 1/4” (6mm); I’ll try making one with some I have on hand and if I like how it feels, I’ll spring for nicer stainless or brass ones
I'm a hardware guy so I'll try to help out. Paracord 550 is 4mm / 5/32" in diameter. Inorder for the nut to slide loosely along the cord it needs to be a 1/4" / 6 mm hex nit or any standard larger ones like 3/8". Those are standard sizes that come in many thicknesses. You can also use some nuts with flanges or weird shapes to make some interesting sounds. And if you want to ahve more pizzaz, you could use some metal beads that are available in a zillion styles, metals, and colors.
Thanks for the info, I'll try the 6mm brass hex nuts!!
You have a course on this?
I'm already way ahead of you
Tim,
Thank you so much for sharing this excellent Begleri paracord project.
This will make a fantastic stocking stuffer gift for Christmas (and one for myself too).
Wishing you and everyone a very Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
🙂🌟🎄🪢
Cool!
make a prayer rope please
Cool
that title without photo would be scary to click.
interesting idea making it into a bracelet. I might have to do this. I have a couple begleri sitting around that I made with monkey's fists on either end. but I saw your other video about monkey's fists with weighted cores being illegal in canada...these wouldn't be?
Also, do you have sources regarding the canadian legality? I can't find anything specific. It almost sounds like its one of those technicalities. If you are carrying them as a weapon, its illegal, if its as a toy/tool, they are legal.
I'd love to see a video where the weights on the end are ball bearings wrapped in paracord. I like Belgeri and I don't have an interest in wearing it like a bracelet.
I have a video on that here: th-cam.com/video/YLb7z9b3Qgs/w-d-xo.html
But you still should learning to use centimeter.
Could you make a more detailed tutorial please
Hey there, which part of the tutorial is unclear for you? I've got a lot of other videos on my channel that could help and I can refer those videos to you if you can let me know what you need. Thanks!
I love how you've been naming these... Begleri Videos... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Loool... just trying to entice people to click! Hahaha
I already wear nuts I can play with.
I'm 35, so I'm old. Haha
I don't click on & back out of a video I don't want to watch.
Could you link some begleri tutorials? I made one of these before and gave it to my brother, might make this one and keep it for myself lol.
Tutorials on tricks would be awesome though, you've definitely got the moves.
I like the idea of this project however I don't watch Tik Tok because Tik Tok makes you stupid
Good for you! When I got a new phone I purposely didn't install Tiktok on it. TH-cam and Instagram still have shorts and reels, so I try to avoid those as much as possible.
Or star speedcubing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Nuts you can play with? 😮
Got nuts, need player........
This title...
I don't get this at all. People find it fun to flick that around?
Yep, it's just for fun. Much like how people play with yo-yos or butterfly knives. There's a whole community of people that enjoy begleri, you can find a lot of them on Instagram if you're curious.
have some of those for free...
That is what my wife said last night.
Pace counter but ok
Pfff nuts
mmmmmfgh
Explanation of how to make this would be alot more ideal than trying to lecture people about attention span because if they have an attention span problem they wont watch anyways
Is there a particular part that wasn't clear? I'm more than happy to help if you need further clarification. I have a lot of videos on my channel explaining the knots used in this project, so i can link you those additional resources if necessary. Just let me know!
this makes no sense, as soon as I decided it was boring and almost clicked off he said that
I don't watch anything on my phone it was really annoying to listen to this. But otherwise it's great video.
No need to take it personally lol, but thanks for watching!
Called it.
Whenever I see content that does the whole quick attention span BS or tells a story while cutting cheese or foam, I dislike them on principle.
Same bit the dislikes don't do anything
wahhh wahhh wahhhhh
Except there's truth to it. Cellphones have drastically reduced attention spans.
…then you commented on the video giving it an algorithmic boost. You’re doing it wrong.
oh... its a knot tying tutorial... the title is very misleading and the thumbnail didn't show up still cool video tho
Autism
Born with em. Thanks
