- Altgang, what's good! In this video I react to NF Therapy session . This is the fifth instalment in the series of the NF journey,. I know this song is DEEP but the production on this shit is bananas. Did my man get kirk Franklin to produce that choir chorus haha! In all seriousness this song has made me love NF as person, fuck rap, fuck bars, he's just an all round good dude.
Although everything I've listened to is fire and I mess with him personality wise, I really want my musical connection to click with him, I want to be a proper fan of this shit and the way it's going he's improved every time and it's getting me closer to feeling that way.
Essentially I want to get to a point where I know all of lyrics verbatim, to me that's when I know I'm a true fan of an artist.

Great reaction as usual. I'm one of those who's been helped so much by Nate. I'm 64 yrs old, and if you'd told me a year ago that one of my favorite artists would be a rapper I'd have laughed you into next week, sadly. But when I found his music (through a reaction channel, btw. You Reactors actually hold a LOT of power in your hands!), I felt like somebody had been watching me my whole life and was now writing songs about me. Don't get me wrong....I didn't have nearly the heartbreaks that Nate had growing up. I had a wonderful, supportive family. But things happened OUTSIDE of my home that I have been dealing with since I was a first-grader. I know that constant companion, Fear, all to well. I hate him, but I haven't been able to kick him out...yet. NF makes me feel like I'm not as alone as I feel. I thank God that I watched THAT reaction on THAT day and found his music. And Thank you, @AltSpace, for your wisdom beyond your years! Give Dax a good petting for me...can't wait to see him grow up before my eyes here in your videos. God bless....

The first song i heard by NF is start over ft. Flame about 6 years ago and it legit made me tear up and ever since then NF music has helped me through life tremendously and to me he's one of the greatest of all time.

Therapy Session was The 1st NF song I ever heard. I’ve been hooked since then.
I love watching new people discover something that I hold dear to my heart, NF words has put many things that I always had a feeling for into words that I couldn't convey and each song hits the same tone of self but also in a weird way a different tone.
Like wake up being about trying to hold up to this ideal of the dream but like wake up and live because the dreams you seek for your future of better looks/cars/ materials won't make you happy.
but in Mansion we talk about the mind being the house, I especially relate to blocking myself inside of the mansion but I let fear in, and in order to let fear out you gotta open the door but by opening the door to your mind you also have to be vulnerable and how fear can trick you into thinking that there is bigger threats outside then in the twisted reality's and perceptions of your mind.
I don't listen to many rap/ hip hop artist because im not about the gang life and money and bitches but him being the opposite of that really stands out as a message to me.
Anyways I subscribed because I enjoy your insight on his lyrics and visuals especially people watching for the first time. its interesting how you may pull something out of the visual or lyrics that I look at differently.

Uhh the video of him sitting opposite of himself like a "therapist" is actually an exercise he did at his therapy. He had an empty chair in front of him where he was supposed to talk to his younger self.. in this video its playing up in that setting. You'll get it more in track "nate" where he talks to his younger self

I don't actually think that's true... I could be wrong here, cuz I only watched one interview and it's some time ago, but in it he talked about 'Nate' and the exercise (which caught my attention because my therapist gave me the exact same one lol - it's really weird to do, but it does actually help), and then the interviewer asked him about 'Therapy Session' and he said he didn't go to therapy when he wrote it - and that he wouldn't have done so without being forced. As far as I know 'The Search' is the first album he did after going to therapy, and I find that believable honestly. 'Therapy Session' is a beautiful album, but it screams "I'm trying to deal with this shit on my own, and be my own therapist"... which doesn't work. That's why I love 'The Search' so much - it is a lot more mature, and it's clear that he had help figuring out his thoughts before writing it. Using music as an outlet is fine - but nothing beats actual therapy - especially when you deal with shit like OCD.

I just discovered NF about a month ago.
His music, lyricism, delivery, theatrics...all make for compelling story telling. I love music that tells a story and has passion.
I was really pleased to hear you reference him kind of putting himself there with each one of his fans that have reached out regarding trauma. That's one of the things I love about this video. Like you said, they aren't going through it alone.
He's bringing us on his journey and with the stories the fans relay back to him...he's going through ours too. It's pretty amazing.

I just learned the word assonance. Had to google it after you used it, you learn something every day. Great reaction videos man, you're 10/10 at them. As far as what you were talking about and what NF talks about in the song, about negative comments. I could be a shithead on the internet sometimes when I got frustrated in the past, then I started going with only ever posting a comment/reply if it's something positive to say. It makes a big difference in your own personal life to get away from the online negativity and just not bother with trolls or useless arguments.
I am so glad that, my daughters got me hooked on NF, He has helped all of us :-)

This is the album that got me on NF. and it isn’t offensive to anyone with a brain. Eminem is a clear influence of NF. NF has said it a million times. They’re both Michigan products. The aggression etc. all rappers had a rapper that influence them. Eminem has said Tupac. NF has Eminem.

Therapy Session is my favorite song. It is so powerful. And real that no matter what it makes me feel the need to keep working
When NF stated that no one knows what happens after he's on stage, I want to go to one of his concerts, not for NF but for Nathan John Feuerstein, just to let him know that he is more than an artist and that he is human and that there are people who don't just want to listen to his music and relate to his bars, but to listen o him and someone he can trust to not go crazy and want selfies or autographs or say that he helps them so much. Just to let him know that he has people who actually care for him and are willing to talk to him on a serious level if he ever needs that help.

Just so you know NF has saved hundreds if not thousands of life's. I remember reading a post from a kid who was battling bullies and bad grades he was considering suicide. He took out some NF music and asked his parents to listen. They got him into therapy and he's doing fine.

I agree when he says parents don't listen to the lyrics but we can say that about so many people and also can we be honest for a second and just admit.how shit mostusic is these days. Most music doesn't talk about these kinds of issues the way Nate does, NOBODY. He doesn't need to swear or put sex or drugs or talk about "bitches" or anything else like that. Not everyone will listen to Nate or want to hear his music everyday but for us who do we understand him and probably understand each other better then most.

Fall in the fall, Kevin Gates... Hard For, and Cardi B... Thru your phone. That was a couple years ago. I started listen to reactions to help my brain catch the bars, that’s when I found NF... and many others. My daughter now laughs at me when I bring her artist I’ve found.
