    GM specifically runs the LSs at 210. Every stock LS I've ever driven sits at 210. So if you're not going but a couple degrees over 210, you should be good.

    Great job on the video. I like the way you blocked the by pass. I hope it hold! I suspect you still have air in the system. Look around see if you can borrow a vacuum fill tool. Might help.

      Radiator vacuum fill tool. It might be your best friend. Especially if you ever get a late model hemi or ford modular. They suck at getting air out.

    So I don't have an LS but on my small block to alleviate excessive Heat if you keep the thermostat in and just drill two or three small h holes in the thermostat that does the same thing problem may be that with no restriction having no thermostat coolant can't stay in the radiator long enough to cool down thus everything heats up to equal temperature. Or eliminate thermostat altogether and use a disc with a different size hole as a restrictor plate until you get the desired result

    You have to fill the LS block through the upper radiator hose, simply because the thermostat isn’t open and doesn’t let coolant enter the block from the radiator.

    • @SniderTron3000
      @SniderTron3000  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I know that. But that's a dumb design lol

    • @The89burban
      @The89burban 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Factory LS cars and trucks use a expansion tank as a fill point. And the factory pump and thermostat has a small bypass but you're still filling the system from low pressure side of the pump(lower hose). It is nearly impossible to get all the air out of system if you fill from the upper hose.
