Hey great tutorial but at 7:05, i really dont understand how you made that trim path into one under the Line 1 and looped the entire set. The video jumps from the entire set to just showing the trimpath under Line 1 - im stuck here!
I know it has been a while but for others that also get stuck here - he has selected the shape layer and pressed 'U' to Reveal All Keyframed Properties
Awesome tutorial! Thanks! I just need to figure out what I did wrong with the looping. I'm getting a slight pop at the beginning as I ram preview it. Edit: I added an extra second to the comp and that fixed it.
really appreciate it i have one question if u please answer me i'll be happy .... how can i drag an object from illustrator that has gradient in it ??!! it will disappear when i drag from after effects or it will turn grey is there any solution?
I use an extension called overlord, which costs around 40-50 dollars. It has been worrh every penny. Otherwise you need to recreate the gradient in the shape layer in After Effects. Or you can keep it as an illustrator layer, and you won’t have the problem 🙌
Hello... I've been struggling with the path animation quite a bit... There's like really weird distortion between keyframes. The points at the umbrella tips always move to become part of the sides. I've tried googling a solution but they never answer my question. Please help.
@@OliverRandorff Fair point, and I know. But I'm trying to switch careers and love animation. And I've never really been able to grasp AE to create an animation portfolio. I'm deciding between AE and Principle. I'm leaning Principle because I want interactive animations.

Thank you! And great that you figured out the problem yourself 🤘
Like your other comments say, you started the splash offset part without showing how you added the offset. Watch at 7:05

Sounds weird. If you send a video of it in a private message to my Instagram @oliverrandorff, I can take a look

@@OliverRandorff When i try to do the same as you do. my rain just wont looping on i dont know why already try alots
It worked when I omitted the semi colon. I'm on Mac... maybe why?

hai great video,
but i kinda confuse a little bit at 7:05
what did you do to make group 'rain' and group 'group 1' (splash) become one trim paths ?
To make a group, I select what I want in the group and press cmd/ctrl + g. After that you select the group when applying the trim paths.
@@OliverRandorff When I do this I get an expression error for some reason.
Thank you so much for this informations amazing I like your video what a program are you working on ?
this tuts are amazing, great job man, keep up the amazing work. Thank you Very much.
Bachir Abderrezak Guezout really appreciate the kind words man, no problem!
You start too far in. Just saying. You should start from before the umbrella is even there.
That would make the video closer to 40 minutes, which many wouldn’t want to sit through. This is a video on the rain effect, not the illustration.
