Sissel is so amazing! My most favourite lady singer since the 1980s when I heard her singing for the first time on Radio Sweden. (I am not Scandinavian.)
Thank you for this wonderful collection of the soprano beauty that exists, ever. I was privileged to meet and speak to her in person in Bergen / Norway a couple of years ago. Simply unforgettable.
Interesting chronology of this remarkable voice's founding years. Just a few major moments not there: her Bergensiana of 86; and On Holy Wings from her Faroes concert ( for her vocal range of those teen years)
Thank you. I added "Bergensiana " to my Sissel playlist. "On Holy wings" was in 1990-1991. She would have been in her 20's there. This is a "TEEN" sampler. I do have the "FAROE Islands" concert in the Sissel playlist.
