My friend as a believer in Christ we must abide in the knowledge of the truth written in the Bible, it's not about theological perfection but knowing God in much better sense...it's the same attitude that has destroyed churches in India and abroad by heretical and blasphemous practices...it's easy to dismiss the Biblical truths as "Calvinist" but it's another to read and understand the scripture...read Romans 9 bro

Unfortunately spurgeon and calvin are fallible and had taught some unbiblical teachings however they stood strong in the essentials so they are not heretics. The theif that was accepted Said " stop mocking this man he is innocent, we are theives and this is our punishment, Lord Lord will you please remember me when you get to your kingdom"? Jesus said " I will see you later today in paradise." The theif repented and confessed his sins then put faith in Jesus by calling him Lord and his faith that he had his own kindom". Jesus knows the heart. Not everyone that calls Jesus Lord will be saved. Jesus himself said many will come before me on the day of judgement and I will tell them to turn away from and they will say but Lird we prophecied in your name and cast demons out in your name. Jesus will say you can't come in for I never knew you. Jesus also said the Lukewarm won't get in.
I can’t listen to this message without the tears flowing. His mercy and Grace reminds me that it is all of God, and I have nothing to bring but my sin.

While I follow him regularly during the week and on Sundays this just seem to be such an absolutely clear message. It was very balanced and did not stir up the usual fear in my heart related to some of the other reformed pastors thatI have listened to. Breath of fresh clean air.

I know I feel the same way, keep listening , it gets even better Alistair is using his Gift from the Spirit- teaching / preaching.....I always come back to Alistair to hear the Truth. When I heard him say The Gospel is not only for the lost but also those who are saved I then realized why I teach it everytime I go to a small group, Sunday School, and men`s group. The gospel is indeed the Power of God unto salvation to all them that believe, both the Jew and also the Gentile, I love the Glorious Gospel of the Grace of God, through Jesus Christ.
