This is no different than that white lady that got her skin super tanned or pigmented or whatever and said she was now black. We can't just choose WHAT we are. I have no problem with anyone being gay, that's not a choice, it's who you are. When you're born with XX chromosomes and tell people you're now a man doesn't change that to XY.

I find it so ironic that although Page claims to finally be at peace with being Elliot, that s(he) appeared to be more vivacious and bubbly as Ellen. As Elliot, he seems so drole. Hope he can regain the spunk that the transformation seems to have erased.

Looking at all of the comments, and I know that they're from years ago but it's still making me cringe to see his old pronouns and name everywhere, so here's to Elliot Page and his coming out!
Why cringe when they were correct at the time? The commenters aren’t able to see the future. Elliot was a woman back then. He identified and presented himself as a woman then.

@@ToddDouglasFox Honestly, it wouldn't really matter either way. Elliot hadn't come out as trans back then and so, of course, people used she/her pronouns. Today, however, Elliot uses he/him. There's no saying how Elliot felt "back in the day," or if he truly was as comfortable being referred to with she/her pronouns as he made himself out to be - neither you nor I have the right to say what he is or isn't. What matters is that he is out now, and has asked for other to use he/him. It is easy to respect him now, regardless of what the future brings. Maybe he'll rescind his second coming out, maybe not. Again, it isn't for you or I to decide. The only thing that we can do is respect the person that he is today, remain civil, and refrain from picking outdated fights with strangers on the internet :)
