Just to confirm, Tony Hawk is quite a nice man. He had to wait to get a table in a place I managed, and never played the 'Tony Hawk' card. Kudos. I lacked his zen vibe, so whenever anyone complained about a wait time, I'd be like "Tony Hawk waited for frikkin table, you can too"
I really like Back in Action, even if some of the jokes aren’t complete zingers. I know Looney Tunes purists deplore it and this movie. I think they are both a lot of fun.
It helps that Brendan Fraser is a really likable and charismatic actor that keeps the movie together, while Michael Jordan is very obviously an athlete doing his first movie. Plus, Daffy is way better in Back in Action than in Space Jam.
@@munromister777 Daffy is pretty much the protagonist of Back in Action, which honestly is how they should handle all Looney Tunes properties that are longer than 11 minutes. He's the only member of the cast with enough depth and range to have a recognizable character arc. Even Bugs, great though he is, only really works when he's one-step ahead of everyone and constantly winning... which is something else that Back in Action gets right that Space Jam gets wrong.
I'm surprised the "Disney/Warner Bros. Beef" segment at the 16:00 mark didn't include this piece of dialogue from the movie... Daffy Duck: _"How's this for a new team name? THE DUCKS!"_ Bugs Bunny: _"Please. What kind of Mickey Mouse organization would name their team, "the ducks"?"_

I love the exponentially creative ways in which James and Maso try to prove that the other has a crush on cartoon animal characters. It's great, and this was the best one yet XD

Back in Action is a vastly superior movie to Space Jam. I enjoy the central conflict of that movie being that Daffy feels like he's been screwed over by being constantly written as the foil for Bugs.
i really loved spacejam, and i rewatched it once as an adult and genuinely thought it held up well and the silly art style has aged better than pretty much everything else from that era

Remember going to watch Space Jam at the movies when I was a kid. Saw it in a big fancy Warner Bros themed cinema in London’s west end. The movie theatre experience was awesome and had huge impact on me. As an adult I work for a cinema chain in the UK and I absolutely love it. Cannot remember a thing that happens in this movie. I was crazy for the Mask when it came out. I bought all the comics and watched the (lousy) cartoon. Jim Carrey is electric in it. Cameron Diaz took my breath away. Peter Greene is brings menace and sleeziness to Dorian. It’s pretty stylish and absolutely makes the most of what I imagine would have been a modest budget. Loved it. The catchphrases are pretty tired now but I still like it a great deal. I’d be excited for a new mask movie. It’s a great concept- the comic is fantastic.
This came out when I was 6 years old living near Chicago. It just so happens that at the time I loved The Bulls, Bill Murray, and the Looney Toons, this will always be fondly remembered
For real! There are some bits of Back in Action that my sister and I still quote to this day. Nostalgia definitely had a lot to do with it, but it's definitely a fun movie.

Nobody at all! That was legit my favorite movie growing up. My grandma got it from blockbuster video and I liked it so much she just never returned it and my grandpa became the one who went to the video store with me
This movie holds a fond* place in my heart. I was invited to see it by the group of kids at school i thought hated me (to be honest i didn't have any friends so i thought most hated me) one weekend, but it was in a place i'd not been before (an hour bus ride away and somewhere too far for me to travel to alone by my parents) but i was so desperate for friends i told my parents i was going local and went anyway. We saw the film and had a good time, until we got to a games store and we took turns to try out the new Playstation. I had to go last, which was fine, but within a minute of starting i turned around to find they had gone. Basically the long and the short of it was the kids were trying to get my lost in the hopes i'd go missing, and it was a big laugh for the school the following Monday (i got home fine, but as a 12 year old miles from home with no idea where the bus was or which one i needed and no phone...yeah it wasn't great) ...oh and by fond i mean emotionally scarring. Fuck this movie, mainly because of those kids!

Back when this was made, before the internet, it was common for adult movies to be made with a similar name. To this day it makes me laugh that Face Jam was made in response to this movie.
I feel like this was my first movie that I realized movies could be bad. Godzilla was a bigger disappointment bc I was a bigger Godzilla fan, but this was the first, and man did it suck. I never watched it again, and you rewatch everything as a kid. This video is one thousand times better than the movie.

Back when this was made, before the internet, it was common for adult movies to be made with a similar name. To this day it makes me laugh that Face Jam was made in response to this movie.
It baffles me how an add was turned into a movie. This is exactly what I would expect from Disney nowadays

I feel like this was my first movie that I realized movies could be bad. Godzilla was a bigger disappointment bc I was a bigger Godzilla fan, but this was the first, and man did it suck. I never watched it again, and you rewatch everything as a kid. This video is one thousand times better than the movie.
The soundtrack is what made this movie, imo.
