I agree, another character they've ruined! I also didn't like the way Diane Murray was killed off and Jan was swapped in as the mother. I can't believe Diane would have walked away from the kids before she died and I can't believe Jan would abandon her kids for years and then have such a sudden change of heart (even if she did have post natal depression). It's all gotten weird and it's too unbelievable now :-(

The actors (Ray & Jesse) could have come back for 1 last episode, either they didn’t want to or the production company’s budget didn’t stretch to paying them
yeah I reckon it's the budget, a few months before there were a few Murray scenes where they obv didn't want to pay Adele for a couple of lines so they made out she was upstairs and they'd eat dinner without her 😂
omg Nikki and Jimmy is just... creepy. why wasn't she interested in that fit bizzy in the other episode or that fit doc who was her nan's lodger, nothing wrong with age gaps like Jacqui works with Max as he's a silver fox and attractive. Seems like they are just grasping at storylines in this last year and all the main cast are being written out one by one and everyone's fighting each other like some scouse lord of the flies
Ever since her assault by a man her age, she had grown a trust issue. Plus the loss of her Dad at a young age, she was messed up and had father issues.
