- I am very honored that my first guest for my podcast is one of his generation’s award-winning actor - John Lloyd Cruz.
It’s been a while since the last time we saw each other and for this rare and exclusive interview, we will talk about why he stepped back from his career at kamusta na ba siya ngayon? I love it when he said he wanted to be with nature...totoo talaga eto! I remember mejo maganda kinikita ko sa manila but i wanted somwthing my soul is craving for, iniwan ko lahat sa manila benenta lahat naipundar at bumalik dito sa cebu, tumira mlapit sa gubat...now i say na I made the best decision in life...tama lang kinikita but being near with the trees, presko hangin, thsse are priceless!

I always said John Lloyd reminds me of Robert DowneyJr. Great actor very talented and well respected. Happy to see more of John Lloyd.
Ang lalim ni JL. Sobrang nakakahanga, hindi lang bilang actor kundi bilang tao. He’s not scared to be vulnerable and show his human side and be unapologetic about it… Really pray he found his true happiness, whatever it is.🥰♥️

JL values his freedom, space and his spontaniety. That's why he is grounded, and authentic. But this interview reveals that he is no ordinary actor. He is witty... and I would not be surprised that he would be a good director in the offing!
JL is a very deep person. Thats why no wonder he is a great actor. Marami siang pinaghuhugutan. And for sure masarap ka converse si JL with the way he knows and thinks.

I never understood why people or women in general hated Karen Davila, especially someone who they didn’t know personally. Even John Lloyd. I remember when I went back to the Philippines years ago from the states and I noticed how people hated people they didn’t know personally in a workplace setting. Found the gossiping weird.

@@akifyyy I think if these were just questions Karen asked, they should have been ok. Questions are questions, nothing more. But Pinoys are probably the most sensitive people too. It’s a delicate balance. I remember when I came to visit years ago and I was hired for some work. I was just on vacation but decided to give it a try. It was a lot more work building relationships than to do the actual work. When people like you, it really shows. When people don’t like you, they also show it. I think some asian countries are like that too.

His thinking is that of what artist are known for. Deep, sensitive…looking at things & situations not at face value which could lead to never ending whys & over analyzing. You could tell by his responses to questions. Hope he finds someone that will complement his personality.
I am an avid fan of John Lloyd. I admire him as an actor nakakalungkot lang na hindi naaappreciate yung value nya ng iba as a very good actor. Kokonti lang yung mga magagaling nating dramatic actors kaya sana his transfer to GMA mas mabigyan pa siya ng magagandang projects. Sa US yung mga dramatic actors nila high as heaven ang tingin ng fans.
He looked so relax and genuine.

I saw John Lloyd in person during their promotion of the movie DUBAI at The Buzz alongside with Aga Muhlach and Claudine B. He was the only one who went near the audience after their segment.
