- Here is a look at one of the rarest arcade game variants out there. This is the Japanese only sequel to Operation Tiger named Operation Tiger Second Mission. There are some noticeable differences between the English release of OT and this version which I will go over in the video.
Wow, this is incredible. I believe this is the first time anyone outside of Japan has seen footage of this game. Thank you so much for helping preserve this lost gem!
Its my pleasure. I know that some of these games never get out into the public so Im trying to preserve what games or hardware I find. I still need to remove the roms and dump them but at least this is one step closer. Thanks a million!
could not believe that I come back to your channel after 12 years and very happy to see that you are still active on TH-cam. I saw your videos back in the days at hard off stores :)
you're the man luke. not even thinking about price gouging some poor sucker with your rare item, just dump it straight to mame so everyone can experience this awesomeness. seriously class brother. wish there were more like you.
Haha, no worries. I'm sure there will be someone out there who will try to bank off it but yeah, this video is unmonitized and the roms will be public. I've had my fair share of help from others so just giving back. Thanks again
Update. I have dumped the roms for Second Mission and sent them to the MAME team. In order to help fix the emulation in MAME and hopefully give others a chance to play this game, I have also sent off 50+ pictures of the pcb hardware and components to the devs. With the new pictures, roms, and information I'm hoping that they will be able to fix the current issues with lack of music and delay issues to get the emulation working right.
Let's wait and see but maybe one step closer to being able to try this at your own home!
Any name pointers to view it on the arch?
Edit: found it
So happy that you're working on preserving this game! Wonderful video and find!
Couldn't be happier to see someone like yourself have access to this. Thank you for your hard work Luke!
When I got the board it was dead but you can imagine my eyes when I saw the title pop up. Very glad to have this and hope to share it with everyone soon.
Great work, I like the bond theme doubt any game would get away with that today.
I totally agree. One of the other games that came close was Sly Spy by data east but yeah, nowadays who knows.
@@lukemorse1 There was also Special Project Y. Konami was going to release the game in Japan as Secret Agent, but they were forced to rename it since Sly Spy used the same title in Japan. They renamed the game to Espionage, but in the end it never got a Japanese release despite undergoing location testing. The Secret Agent logo is actually in the code of Special Project Y, so there is most likely an undumped ROM set with the Secret Agent title. No ROM set with the Espionage title is known to exist.
Nice share Luke! 👏😎, hope all's well and good, best wishes fella 🎉✌️
Hey my man, thanks as usual!
All is well here now and hope things are good on your end too! 🎉
I been hoping to see this game in action! Awesome playthrough!😊
I'm glad I could get it working, keep it working, and make it to the end of the game for a video lol. Thanks for watching and hope it was a bit entertaining 😂
Over use of the Golden Eye music sound in that one, god damn XD.
Quite a bit of it right!
Yeah, not sure what they were thinking here but I guess they had to make up for the missing dialog 😅
@@lukemorse1 Good to see you're still making videos bro. It's Dave who sent you that bad GTG2. I'm making a game atm called Peraglees dude and I was wondering if you want a steam key for it once it's released? Basically my take on Capcoms Mercs, also going to be making an arcade machine out of it.
I just saw a headline on time extension about this, I didn't realize it was your board that got dumped! will definitely have to figure out a way to get it running and try it for myself.
I could totally see myself back in the day dumping a few quarters in to try this. Never knew about it until about .............oh 7 minutes and 34 seconds ago.
LMAO! For sure, for sure. If the devs are able to get the hardware sorted out hopefully it will be ready to play in Mame sometime in the future.
Might even make it to one of your play throughs eh man? 😅
Hope you're doing well
So cool!! Thanks for uploading. The graphics look like Neo Geo 64 graphics
Poor man's Sega shooter... Taito should know better. To quote a certain fictional archaeologist... "It belongs in a museum!"
Haha 😂
There were a lot of those back in the day right? Just trying to get that money in where possible. Video preservation is all I can do here lol.
So more of a remix/localisation than an actual sequel?
Still cool that it's being dumped and preserved.
Love these obscure boards.
Haha, you and I both my friend! 😊
For what its worth I enjoy the extensive use of midi church bell.
Haha! Come for the shooting, stay for the church bell🔔. Awesome
love your content but the improper screen ratio drives me insane! not complaining just sharing my discomfort while enjoying your content :)
lol, Thanks for the comment. Fair enough. Sometimes Im just interested in posting a video on the games themselves. Many people prefer capture card footage or MAME but a few like the "in the same room" feel but to each is own. Nothing but ff the cuff, rough as sandpaper vids here. To be honest, I would personally love to have these games displayed on CRT's if I had the space for one but yeah, it is what it is :) Thanks for watching regardless.
Finally, a full playthrough! By the way, did you know that an all-new installment of the Operation Wolf series was just released last year?
You are tough guy! Luke.
Leave no pcb behind.
thx.
There are a few pcb's I still have to swap out components on in order to get them running again but trying here. Thanks a lot!
Looks like a fun one!
It's not bad at all although I have to say I prefer the English version overall! Thanks🙏
Well Luke, this is interesting yo.
Thanks a lot Jacob!
Interesting game i have never seen it.
Yeah, there are no videos on it and the roms haven't been released yet but soon enough. We will change all that shortly.
awesome shit... thanks master luke :)
Lol! I try to keep my shit awesome 😎👍. Thanks a million as usual my friend!
@@lukemorse1 my pleasure it is ^^
CAN'T WAIT❤🎉👾👾👾
Never heard of this, but I get confused with this title and Operation Wolf for some reason
Its another game in the series but it took a little different route then the first 2 and way different than the 3rd one lol.
Luuuke !
What's up my man!
Nice! How did you manage to come upon the board?
Thanks, just timing and place with friends of people who have old arcade games sitting around lol.
Wow! I do hope you can dump all the ROMs for this!
For sure man. I just dumped and sent off another version of Operation Tiger that hadn't been dumped yet so I'll get this one sent off next as well.
@@lukemorse1 fantastic!!!!!
Hey Luke! Do you have a favorite arcade game?
Hey hey! Ah, great question. There are a lot of them out there but the old 90's konami and capcom games are some of my favs for sure. There are still so many that I havent played so I cant say for sure but those are couple for starters.
💙💛💚❤️
🎉🎉🎉❤🎉🎉🎉
I wish the gameplay of Pro Evolution Soccer The Arcade/World Soccer Winning Eleven Arcade Game Style and World Soccer Winning Eleven Arcade Game Style 2003 in real Hardware please
Are you possibly gonna dump
This?
Yes, as stated in the video, this game will be dumped. I have also recently dumped and sent off the roms for another variant of Operation Tiger recently.
