Pipe length, naturally aspirated or forced induction, obviously mufflers and resonators, firing order and so on. But the basics are that sound is generated by the explosion of fuel in the combustion chamber. There is also inefficiency to factor in although most post 1980 engine will be in the same ballpark. Think about it this way.....how can a bored or stroked ls3 be the "loudest car"? It may be the sound that creates it could be perceived "loud" due to its lack of back pressure causing created by the oversized pipes, just creating a very deep tone difficult for cameras to pick up.
I saw a car almost identical to this at the 24 hrs of lemons race. To complete the look of this car they should have ran the exhaust straight up over the top of that airplane wing and put two rain flappers on it. Thumbs up though.. Cracked me up. Total clown shoes...
