For me as a german the pronounciation of the Montesong-hosts for NeonoeN sounded like Neo 9 (9 = Neun in german) which reminds me of a name for a slotmachine. But it is just a palindrome like ABBA. I think they're cool and I hope they won't be disqualified. Greece actually had a national finals in 2017, but just to select the song for Demi. The last proper national final with more acts happened in 2015, which is of course a decade ago. Then they wanted to have one in 2018 but all entries exept the eventual entry were disqualified for several reasons. They were also famously known for hosting national finals in shopping-malls in the early 2010s because of the financial crisis. I really hope to see you in Stockholm, because I will go to Melfest too. It would be nice if the swedish fanclub would finally send the ticket that I've already paid to me because I've ordered them via the OGAE early-sale.
Great video Laura - informative as always! One thing that grinds my gears with the Eurovision build up is the bookies always giving odds now, before any countries have picked their performer and / or song - there's no basis for the odds they give other than "Who did well last time? And should we hope the UK gets it right this time?"
I doubt it will happen very much but it now seems as though in Montenegro's track could be disqualified. I fully expect Elvana to get the ticket at FiK to represent Albania. We're getting songs from Spain fairly soon as well I believe. A fair few of the Latvian songs are already out and I think the quality is fairly promising.
