They make a wash/transport cover you can place over the comes and Radio. That protects them when power washing. But they are water resistant. The covers part number is rcm-dmu
Hi there, at 5:32 what is the wiring harness you have? I do not have this with my intercom that I just purchased, and I can not find anything about this on Rugged's site. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
The battery helps to act like a filter capacitor. And helps prevent emi that builds up from multiple devices that are mounted to the accessories port. So if you mount it at the radio. You get better quality of sound and cleaner transmission when broadcasting.
Where does the Blue wire go to that is on the Comms Switch? It has a ring terminal and a label that says 12v Ignition. This is push to start, there is no terminals on the ignition switch
I literally just called them about this. That wire is the illumination for the switch. It lights up the backlight of the switch only. Attach it to the accessory switch power. I thought that was the black ground wire they were showing in the video at about 16 minutes.
@@go0ky486 If you're going to run that blue wire to the accessory switch terminal under the shifter, that blue wire is no where near long enough if you're mounting the switch anywhere on the dash. Also, I've got a '22 XRC and the ring terminal is too small for the bolt on the accessory power bar. I'm kind of surprised Rugged Radio got it so wrong on this blue wire (at least on '22 models) since every other wire is so long in the kit.
Bluetooth? and NO aux input? just don't loose your cell service (in the middle of no ware )or your music is gone. or you can download 2k worth of music off of itunes in advance. from 0 to 75% of the volume knob is useless. the music is VERY quit even with my Alpha bass headphones. ( not wort the money) I would pass on rugged radios next time and try PCI radios. I have had 3 sets so far trying to fix this problem so 4th time ill switch lol.... The coms are VERY loud and clear but the music side sucks...
Awesome Tutorial, We have the Rugged Radios Maverick system in our XRS Turbo RR Max. Next we will install the headsets in our helmets 🪖
Thank you much for this video. I used it to install my setup
Why would you have ads on a channel that sells stuff?
Where does the blue wire go from the switch?
How waterproof is this kit? I usually pressure wash my Can-Am interior with a foam cannon.
I'm wondering the same???

Why did you hook it directly to the battery and not the battery port?

Wish the kit had everything in it you use alot of stuff that don't come in kit antenna mount switch harness and more

For the rocker switch. Where does the blue wire connect to? It says 12v ignition. It’s a short wire so I figured it has to be close by.

That doesn’t answer the question the the X3. I have the same question.
Why not just leave the original cable cover off that you cut no need for it side panels cover that area
