I’ve only read Inferno (Dante), Portrait of the Artist (Joyce), The Crying of Lot 49 (Pynchon), and a few Manga/Manhua. Currently, I am in the middle of The Odyssey (Homer), Dubliners (Joyce), Ulysses (Joyce), Purgatorio (Dante), and Gravity’s Rainbow (Pynchon). Nice video!

Crazy, I literally just put Song of Solomon down after the first chapter to watch some videos and then I see your last book. Back to reading I go! Can't wait to read more of it.

So far this year I have gotten to Blood Meridian and No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy, Dead Certainties by Simon Schama, Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann, and am currently finishing up The Southern Reach Trilogy by Jeff Vandermeer!

I loved Poverty, by America! I thought it was really succinct but also comprehensive. If you haven't already read it, you might like Evicted by Matthew Desmond. It covers the Eviction crisis by telling the stories of people who have experienced it. Also somewhat similar to Dopesick.

    hello, will
    all good ?
Toni Morrison is fantastic, I started with "The Bluest Eye" and what a book! I already have "Beloved" in my collection for the next dive into this rich, layered fiction that Toni left us.
kisses from São Paulo, Brasil ❤

I saw a documentary on Brendt. The whole process was dramatized for You Tube. The hotel "accidentally" blew up. It needed to be bulldozed anyway. He then asked for donations to rebuild. The entire idea was for him and his investment company to make profits from tourists/hotels, so there was nothing noble in his endeavor.

My books of the year (so far) have been The Pillars of the Earth ( Ken Follett), The Appeal (John Grisham) and Dragonsbane (Barbara Hambly).

I have been on the opposite from you. I have been reading more fiction rather than non fiction. Thanks for recommending Song of Solomon .😊

I read "Evicted" by Mathew Desmond a couple of years ago, which I think won a Pulitzer. I hear "Poverty" is his follow up, a difficult task but it sounds like it did it. I may pick up a copy

I gotta get into Song of Solomon. Last time I picked it up was in high school for class (and admittedly I only halfway read it). I just finished Paradise not too long ago, and I'd highly recommend it. Narratively it's perhaps not as entertaining as her classics but it may very well be her best written work. A masterclass of non-linear storytelling, character development, and symbolism.
I'm ready for your next book too! For some reason Tasha jumped out to me as a character with plenty of untapped potential/importance. If you ever revisit the world of Fumes I think there might be something worth exploring there!

I'm sick of this mundane conventional knowledge, guys. Head to Borlest and read the forbidden books, only then will you truly gain knowledge about money
