- The #Sentinelese tribe living in India's #Andaman&Nicobar islands had never been exposed to the outside world ever since they got there over 10,000 years ago. Called the uncontacted people, they are now just left in a few places around the world. Though we document John Allen Chau's journey to meet them, we also document similar Indian efforts by the Indian government. Going there and taking two elders and four children, taking them to the mainland and exposing them to malaria, cholera, hell the basic flu, sicknesses they've never come in contact with. The two elders die and then the conscious decision to then bring the children back? We have NO idea what happened with those children when they we're returned. They very well may have been asked what happened to the elders and upon finding out they died of sickness been executed on the spot to save the rest of the population. Or maybe one or all of the children have whatever killed the others but are non-symptomatic ore their symptoms are mild and unnoticed, they go back and infect the entire population if even 25% by its very definition that's genocide. If they all died, an entire civilization has now been wiped of the face of the earth, and now there's a private uninhabited island up for grabs to be used as a military base, private residence, or a luxury vacation destination. Hell maybe instead of Isla Nublar Dr. Hammond creates Jurassic Park on North Sentinel island.

Good video. I think most people agree the best thing is to leave North Sentinel island alone, unbothered by modern contact& it's people in peace to live their lives as they choose. Our interference with native groups generally results in them losing their freedom, being made dependent,& treated with minimal respect by those who take over their homes. I praise India for trying to preserve them as they wish to be, in the face of outside pressure to change them.

If you study history you see why many tribal groups attacked missionaries and new comers. Even me, I pay taxes and I have to get off my ass to make sure I’m fed and living meanwhile the tribe can go fishing and hunt freely.
