Love bombjack, great arcade conversion.
Ruff n tumble is another favourite, looks stunning on the Amiga 😍.

Xenon II was one of the first Bitmap Brothers games I played. The music was one of the first instances of a popular group doing a video game theme tune, it was Megablast by Bomb The Bass (hence it's called Xenon II: Megablast).
LOL I had a copied version of Great Giana Sisters too.
I forgot to mention Bomb The Bass actually! Great bit of trivia there mate. Haha imagine someone trying to do a rip off like that these days.

Great pick ups mate I do love seeing Amiga pick ups as it’s a system I love but I ain’t got the room to collect it 😂😂😂 so much nostalgia for all that big box art
Haha it is crazy mate how many disks there is! I know mate I understand that, I'm running put of space too 😂 box art is some of the best out there.
Beneath A Steel Sky, wow how many discs 😂 I had World Class Leaderboard as well, think it was the original version. Used to love the crowd effects on it. Shame about Xenon 2 but its not one of my favourite games as it is a bit dull. There was a magazine back in the old days that gave away a game per month and I got Star Wars and Jedi, but missed Empire. Damn that stencil is gorgeously in amazing nick. I always wanted Grand National aa there were never any horse racing games made 😊 Cabal is veey underrated, excellent conversion. Great video mate, had a few of those in years gone by 😁👍
Haha I know mate, so many! Imagine loading all those in one disk drive!
It is amazing that these games were given away with magazines. Such an amazing time, it just wouldn't happen now.

Lovely stuff james mate. Love the cover of mortal kombat 2, and that's a great deal for 20 quid. I'm after a nice equivalent on the snes and the price will be more like triple that! But a childhood favourite, as it was for you.
Classic barbarian 2, got it on the spectrum with the wolfman and the girl on the cover, that was also a childhood favorite and not just for the game 🤣
I agree, a shame you can't display those big boxes front-on. They look great.
Used to play bomb jack to death on my dads atari ST. So many good memories of that.
Really like the look of dogs of war 👍not a game i'd heard of before hearing about it on your vids.

Brilliant vid James. I could sit and watch Amiga pick up vids all day long! haha. The boxes are just so lovely to look at and display, if a little on the large side sometimes. A lot of those you showed bring back lots of happy memories mate. In recent years I sort of fell out of collecting 16 bit disc based games mainly due to their unreliability vs cost and also lack of space. I do keep an eye out for the odd Atari st game if I can grab one cheap enough, never to be played hahaha. So was Encore the budget side of Elite then? Yeah really enjoyed this as usual pal. 👍🍻
Thanks very much, Mark! Yeah the artwork is phenomenonal, I'm running out of room though haha! Definitely still worth picking up the odd one though like you're doing, nostalgia and all that haha! Yeah Encore was the budget release for selected Elite games.

Great video, this is the sort of thing I end up watching several times. I love the mix of premium titles together with more obscure stuff (this is the first Encore budget label collection I’ve heard of). Mortal Kombat 2 on the Amiga is a bit frustrating because on the A1200 the sound is much better, with all the speech etc, but the 2 button controls only work on the A500\A600 (if even says so in the manual), so you can only have one or the other depending on your machine. Looking forward to more.

I didn't know that about the varying versions on the 1200 and 500/600, so thanks for sharing that. This is why I enjoy talking Amiga. Such a fantastic system with plenty of variety.

So many great games in there, but one that stood out for me was Bomb Jack. It’s not a game I played in the ST, though I may have played for on it that format, just don’t remember. Though I played it a bunch on the Spectrum and remember playing it loads at my mates house in his loft conversion back in the day.

That fan made Barbarian, I'm positive I bought from the same guy on ebay. I bought gameover for the C64. Excellent quality.
