The answer is YES put antifreeze in the water lines or risk having them crack if there is any water remaining in them.
You could also use compressed air to blow the lines ... anti-freeze will prevent damage to the lines. You should have isolation valves to prevent antifreeze from going into your tank.
Also put some in all your drains and the toilet 👋
Luna is so chill. My cats have never ending energy 😂
She definitely has big chill energy lol

Luna is adorable and so loving. You are all very special you Tessa and luna. Love the snow, nice video.
Cold Diesel suggestions: (1) Cetane boost for the fuel, (2) fresh batteries, (3) Full synthetic oils (5W-30 or oil weight suggested by oil dealer) (4) Diesel fuel additive for anti-gelling ... large blanket for the nose of the truck... (holds the heat in and it wont get as cold as ambient).... Good luck on you winter camps.... Your efforts are appreciated and We love the content....
Hi Jonathan. I live in Oregon too and when I was younger my dad had a camper like yours. He would always winterize the water lines. So, I would recommend the same. You don't want to ruin anything after the last camper. I felt so bad about how much you worked on the other camper. Btw, I love your new camper. It looks so cozy and perfect for you. 🙂
Wow. Sad thing is that's how Big Mac's use to look back in the day. 😢. Good job Jonathan ☺️🤙🏾
❤Luna is the cutest cat glad you found snow 🌨️🌨️
Loved seeing you enjoying the first SNOW OUTING in your Rig! That HIKE, that BIG MAC N FRIES, that wonderfully COZY feeling... all AWESOME! Thanks for sharing it with us. Be Well, Be Safe, Be always HAPPY-GO-LUCKY 😊
Love watching Esp last 3 yrs,,,,,we need MORE great NORMAL people doing fun, great shares🐾💕🙏☺️ fr all!! Thks
The hikes on your channel are always so beautiful and exciting
Nicely done with the big mac... Two whole beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun! You deserved that break, today.
Glad your are back with winter camping.
It inspires me to get out in the snow. I'm in Colorado and the snow is starting to hit the mountains. Safe Travels
Head on up there! Winter camping is awesome. Thanks for watching
Beautiful ❤️Luna is a doll ❤
I have to agree 🙂
What a peaceful spot to camp. The snow makes it so magical.
Does my heart good to see others who get so excited about the snow! Beautiful area! We have to wait for awhile here in the Midwest for that unfortunately. Your kitty is such a sweetie!
So excited to see winter camping videos again. Looking forward to the next one!
One hint to prevent wet and cold hands when you leave your gloves at home. Two Large ziplock bags with a pair of winter socks work great in an emergency.
More chill videos from JY. Worry about you getting caught in a unforcasted blizzard. Happened to us years ago while snow shoeing in Vermont. We were lucky we found our way back, a mere 2 miles but practically blinded and feeling disoriented. There were some locals hiking and turning around too, so we followed them with fingers crossed. You out Macked the Mac. Love the Japanese mayonnaise. Stay safe.
Yeah hiking alone in the snow is scary, i always get nervous when I see people doing it. At least I think Jonathan carries a gps locator device for emergency
Jonathan, I have been watching you for quite a while. I never see you carrying an inReach or any device like that. Please think about having one. If you dont have cell service, or if it goes down and you get hurt by yourself, it could save you. Stay safe and keep making these great videos.
That is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for this mini vacation! 😊
The day I realized Ski goggles were the best tool for running my snowblower was a great day. No more blowback in your eyes. Love your large goggles too!
Yes! I wear them mowing the 76” riding lawn mower at 20mph too. Helps my allergies tremendously.
Heck yes! I love seeing new vids from you pop up, Jonathan! Love your channel! I showed some of your videos to my dad on Thanksgiving, and he really enjoys them, too. Anyways, have a great week, J-man.
I worked out of Florida. on a job in Michigan. lived in New Mexico.
Spending my Christmas vacation in New Mexico had an emergency call New Year's Eve to be in Bremerton Washington new Year's day 😂. We fly in it's overcast. We were there three weeks before we realized we were surrounded by mountains.
It was surprisingly warmer there than we expected 👍
Worked in medical building operations.
For some reason after that, I found myself the West Coast consultant for 113 medical facilities🎉
Love it out there..
Let's goooooo ✌️
Yay! Luna! Pretty kitty!
Nice video, have a great winter!
Luna is my 3 year old grand daughter's name. Fabulous!!! I just adore your adventures and the food you make, Happy trails to you 🏔🏂🌨❄❄❄.
My name addy is LaLunaBreeze.
Love the name Luna. Magical name..
Back in the late 80's and 90's, I loved to cross country ski into the mountains.
The best part of it was usually the trip back down.
I had to quit doing this when my back became an issue for me.
I miss those days and I enjoy you taking me with you on your trips.
Yes that is a very cute cat. It's hard to say which cat I've seen is the cutest, I think it's a million way tie for the top spot.
Nice video, Jonathan! Glad you had a successful first foray into the snows of Oregon. Loved the Big Mac & Fries. Gotta try that one soon. Thanks for letting us tag along on your adventures!
Wow! A great video. I also would Ike to.have the snow all year. A day of hiiking is terrific. Great cooking, Jonathan. Hello to Luna, maybe she can accompany you on a future trip. Just a terrific way to unwind in the camper. I like the set-up.
Hey J~Mann😃the snow is beautiful and as always great to see you 🙋🏽♀️the rain is great as well it brings the beautiful hiking experience 👍🏽🫶🏽✌🏽
I’m so glad you posted bro I needed some comfort content I love your videos bro
good morning from bali my dear friend, thank for taking us with this beautiful video
I did some snow shoe hiking in Mammoth in the mid 90's. It was stunning and so much fun. The snow was pristine, the sun was shinning, so quiet and still. It's one of my favorite memories. Your snow shoes are very cool they have come a long way over the years. They make hiking in snow so much easier. Happy travels!
Love the 80’s music packing montage
I love Luna & your Christmas tree looks great! Beautiful & relaxing winter camping trip too.
Luna is precious, and your tree looks great!!! Enjoy the holidays!
Good to see you still around!
This is the first snowstorm I’ve seen on your trip wow scary so happy you got through it great video ❄️❄️❄️❄️🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
Luna is a lovely precious little cat.❤
Note to self: Don't watch Johnathon on an empty stomach.
As a fellow “Jonathan” you couldn’t have spelled his name more wrong 😂
@@lingerseasonwhen I was in 3rd grade my teacher told me I didn’t know how to spell my cousin Jonathan’s name correctly and made a big deal of it. I was like…..SIS….you have no freaking clue!
@@lingerseasonHis name may not be spelled “Johnathon,” but I’ve seen it spelled that way on numerous occasions.
LUNA IS A CUTIE PIE And you video was very relaxing And your dinner made me HUNGRY SAFE AND FUN TRAVELS
Thanks for the beautiful snow scenery. Sandwich looked really good.
Absolutely stunning scenery man! Wish I could experience that with a truck and truck camper of my own at some point. Awesome as always bro!✌
I have a 99 PS w/ 9-6 Bigfoot 1500.Been doing this for years hunting.Have 2- 6v golf cart battery,120w solar, usually pulls it back. The main heater uses most power turn on and pre heat on way to camp if you can, or run truck a bit at same time.I also run a 2000 Honda gen.for dinner 1/2 to 1 hr, then go to my wave after that.If its zero F, then I run on low at night.Antifreeze pipes, when out for a week or more you have to keep your water jugs from freezing, I put in cooler or in front of heater. 1.5 foam in all but my main window and all roof vents with rigid foam. 1'' foam under camper toons extra on bed.Big double size bag and a wobble on top, when in the real cold.If I need I have a buddy heat w/ 5 # tank for extra heat or to point under my diesel , 7.3. Gen can recharge any of my batteries, have cord right to gen to house power
Big Mac! Glad to see you out there. I like snow camping.
Jonathan i added a wave 3 to my truck camper years ago. I dont camp in climates that are as cold as you do but sometimes when it s below freezing i will lite the wave and also turn on the camper heater for a short time then turn it off and let the wave heater do its thing. always remember when useing the wave heater to have a window cracked open a bit . i have a max air cover on my roof vent so i just leave the vent open a bit
Snow!!! I love it
If it's really cold, turn the key on to warm up the glow plugs, turn it off and turn it on again and wait like normal.
Thank you for your camping videos! God bless!
I put tube socks from Dollar Tree on my wiper blades.
Good idea!
I use a windshield tarp that’s made for my vehicle for $3.99. Secures tight slamming ends in the doors. Keeps it snow & ice free.
Wow beautiful glass ❤️
It's beautiful up on Mount Hood again this winter. That's the nice thing about living in the Portland area. If you want snow, it's just a short drive .I have been wanting to get up there to Meadows to do some skiing. I haven't been up there in about 3 years. But I do like to go up and enjoy the snow . safe travels.
Always enjoy your videos!
Great first snow trip!! The only thing cuter than Luna is Calli and Molly😘
Love Mt Hood area. My x in laws lived in Camas was a very beautiful area... Love snow videos. Stay warm have fun. 💕💜💙
I, too, LOVE the absolute stillness of snowy winter. I look forward to more winter videos. Love the sweet kitty! And great tree! Sometimes the quirky ones are always the most heart warming and downright fun!!!❤🎉❤☃️🌲
Question. How warm is your camper? Does your heater keep it at a reasonable temp? And what do you consider a reasonable temp? The worry in winter is water lines freezing. Be safe and thanks for another great vid!
Bro, I absolutely loved that intro!!! The story telling is awesome.
As former SAR, you should ALWAYS have Shelter, Water, Fire & Food (SWiFF) with you when hiking/snowshoeing, and especially in winter. You NEVER know what can happen. The weather can turn in mere minutes and cause you to be stranded out in the mountains, or an injury can too.
I have been on hundreds of resuces where people were "just out for a short hike/snowshoe" and had to be rescued. Some even helivaced out the wilds.
Ok that Big Mac looks really good. Nice job love the camper, be safe out there
Cute and sweet kitty... Love the Christmas tree!!
Luna fan club for sure. LOVE your kitty.
Great video! Loved the background music as well.
Merry Christmas! Cheers!
Enjoy camping videos with narration well done 👍
Great video. If you're feeling adventurous there's some good snow already in Eastern Oregon. Tip for you: when your rv is winterized bring a couple gallon jugs of water for the toilet. You can pour water into the bowl to use. Just have to dump black tank after your trip. No other re-winterizing to do.
That big mac was the BEST ive ever seen made!!! I bet it was delicious! Nice job!!👍🏼
Great video, thank you Johnathan 😊
Love the Big Mack!
Awww Luna is too cute. We used to have a cat named Luna too.
Love your style dude. the music is perfect
My idea of dream camping, out there in the elements. Surviving and winning!
Have you noticed the smell of the air with an icy snow? Its so clean.
That was fun. Thank you!
Bulleit Bourbon is pronounced Bull Light. I am from Shelbyville, KY. They have a distillery across the street from the entrance to Guist Creek Lake where I fish quite a bit. It is mayb 5 miles from my home. Great video! I love my bourbon. My faves, Kentucky Gentleman $8 a 5th on the low end to Knob Creek $30 a 5th on the high end. Yellowstone is another good bourbon. Early Times and Kentucky Tavern round out some of my go to’s. Everyone wants very high end bourbon like 4 Roses or the most expensive Pappy Van Winkle ($2k for a 5th), and they are a “you love it or you don’t” bourbons.
Love your content Johnathon! Silent snow secret snow awesome
The way your videos are shot it feels like I’m there 🤣💯💯 sick shots everytime I love it bro
First time viewer. Luv truck camping. Have a 99 F350 7.3. Starts every time. Great engine. Really like the show.
Great video I've been enjoying your videos since I recently started to follow your channel the nice landscape and love the truck camper 👍
That's not a snowstorm, that'sa dusting! I live in mountain town Estes Park, where we get several feet of snow.
I was with you when you found and bought your truck camper. Nice find!
Awesome man thanks for sharing
Oh my...what a great video! Love snowshoeing in fresh snow, in a snowstorm! Put some HotPaws in your truck...can't have hypothermia! That Big Mac was off the charts!! Better than the Golden Arches. Hugs and catnip to Luna, and a huge shoutout to you and Tess from Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦🫶🏔️
2 all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickle, onions, on a sesame bun.
GLAD TO SEE YOU GOT TO ENJOY AN EARLY SNOW, WE HAVEN'T HAD OURS YET IN CENTRAL PIEDMONT NC.
I grew up in southern Idaho and now live south of Portland, this time of year has been hard on me. I never realized how much I need the sunshine
Beautiful lil tree!🌲
Wow-you rocked that Mac!
Thank you for sharing your adventures. It gives me inspiration in doing solo camping trips...I have an R pod and i go solo camping a lot especially in the winter when I hit the slopes skiing.,
Thank you again for sharing
Oh my - now I want a Big Mac - yours looked soooo good. Considering it is 1 am , it will have to wait. And yes Luna is quite cute as is my Luna which is a very large Alaskan Malamute. And finally - love the tree. In my younger days we used to cut our own, but I can’t really manage the walk in the woods at 74. Thanks for sharing the snowy views. Here in New Jersey we have only had a few flurries so far but I’ll keep waiting…
Definitely the cutest cat 😺🐈
I love kitties. ❤ Luna is adorable.
Love the glasses
Nice to see a new video. You’ve been missed. Until the next video stay safe
It's one of the best homemade Big Macs I've ever seen..nice job
Magic! That you so much for sharing. Very beautiful cat, by the way.Count me in as a Luna fan.
