Today I visit the Orange County Museum of art to see the Alice Neel exhibition! Alice Neel is an American painter whose work spans the 1920s-1980s. She mainly painted portraits, and she's one of my favorite artists. While viewing the exhibition, I narrate my thoughts: such as finding resemblance between the people in the paintings and my family members, noticing Neel's beautiful use of pattern, and how intentional she is about painting hands. Alice Neel paints people with such compassion, and she always knows when to let a painting be finished. I love her brush strokes and vivid colors, and the clothes of her subjects made a strong impression. Before we see the exhibition, I do a little what's in my bag video. The contents of my Fashion Brand Company tote bag include: my art supplies like a Midori sketchbook (to draw a the museum), some pens, crayons/pastels, and a travel watercolor set. I also bring my kindle, my Baggu wallet and Baggu pouch (which I used to hold some of the art supplies), I bring multiple lipsticks (held inside a Monchichi coin purse), and my water bottle. I also vlog my lunch in the museum cafe, and show a relaxing montage of some cute spots around OCMA. So join me for a fun day out and about - looking and talking about art!
