When I went to ask my friends - My friend with AMD CPU = intel Lele amd bakwass hai! My friend with Intel CPU = AMD Lele ... Conclusion- Ghar ke murgi daal barabar
AMD is on 7nm while most of 10th gen is on 14nm still. Intel gets the best gaming cpu tag because one of its cores is overclocked to 5ghz. So, Intel will give you better performance in certain benchmarks but not better sustained performance as it cannot maintain that 5ghz and eventually throttles. AMD's IPC is better and so is the performance per watt which leads to better sustained performance. With Intel, you are consuming 80 percent more power to get slightly better performance than AMD, which is not sustained and is for benchmarks only. This approach also means more heat and consequently lowers the life of your CPU. Which is why I recommend AMD. Also, the difference between AMD and Intel is hardly 8-10 percent in gaming, for benchmarks.
