We didn't have an issue but we got off as soon as we could and made the first bus to the town. Then we gave ourselves a pretty good cushion to get back, over an hour. The port the cool shopping and entertainment area, I would do that with whatever time you have at the end rather than before you go to town, if it interests you.
We have our first cruise planned to Alaska this summer. Leery about planning any excursions due to cost, and being rushed. Did y'all do any NCL excursions? I checked on going on our own and everything is so much cheaper but you have to worry about timing. 🤦🏼♀️ Just don't know what to do!
We did ncl excursions in Juneau, Stika. Ketchikan and icy we just walked around the towns/areas. My sister did a float plane tour in Ketchikan that she booked on the spot. Most of those 3rd party tour companies are catering to the cruise industry and know they need to have you back though. Having a review saying you missed the ship would not look good on them.
Our experience was easy both there and back. We got off the ship at first announcement and were on the first shuttle over. Then we got back on the shuttle a little over an hour before and there was no line at that time.
Definitely felt rushed! We were walking pretty fast to get up to the park area and back. If you just want to shop and do creek street, it's probably just enough time. More time would have been awesome.
In port? I don't quite remember but the one in the berth area/travel info should be. Bathrooms at ward cove were also huge. Doubtful many of the restrooms at creek street would be since they are all smaller buildings with tight walkways.
Ketchikan looked like a really nice port! Those Crepes looked good indeed. One day Mrs Loy and I will go to Alaska.
You will love it ❤ maybe we can join you 😊
My friend works in the mill at ward cove and i seen her in your video. 😊
No way that's awesome! Thanks for watching!
how were the shuttles? I heard they were horrible due to the sheer number of people and long bus lines.

the time in port there is really short, did you feel rushed or feel it was enough time to see what you wanted?

Any of the bathrooms handicap accessible?
