I got a chuckle at Tom laughing at the "Alien Brain" sticker, thinking about which Cabal episode of Chris' misadventures Tom was thinking of at the time.

Ya know you can go back and watch ANY previous video if you miss it so much. Have you? No? Maybe you don’t miss it as much as you think.

FYI, a Shire is an English county. That's why so many English counties have -shire in the name (Yorkshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire etc). The term predates Middle-Earth by a couple of centuries.
Still a weird title for a non-LotR fantasy game though.

Indeed this is correct. We are based in Shropshire in the UK, which is 1 of the 2 counties Tolkien actually based his books on. As much as we love LotR in general, the name of our game had no inspiration from it at all. We actually wanted a name like HeroQuest, but of course that was taken. At the time of trying to decide a name, a friend messaged to say the following: 'I'll be back in the Shire next weekend if you want to catch-up'. From this, the name Heroes of the Shire was born, and we stuck with it. Best wishes, Heroes of the Shire.

@@heroesoftheshire4681 Also being from the UK, and somewhat rurally, I've heard that exact phrase from friends many times. I find that "Shire" is often starting to mean "home" especially if that home is outside of city areas.

Enjoy Gest of Robin Hood! Maybe it'll be your entry-point into COIN games ;)

A Gest (pronounced like "jest") of Robin Hood is part of the Irregular Conflict Series, which is an offshoot of COIN.

Rodney did a how to play video for it. Not a walk in the park, but not nearly as complex as COIN games are.
