Ow wow! Thanks and I didn’t realize! 🥳 thanks a lot for being part of my journey already for 2 years 😃
Cool place! I spent 3 months there teaching English :) Quiet and relaxing place! Lots of potential, who knows what will happen there in the next 5 years
What a nice area - Impressed superchamp 👌 you’ve certainly put it on the travel map - well produced again my friend 👍👋🙏
Many thanks! It’s so nice to explore new parts of SEA where I’ve never been before 😊 have a great night mate 🏆
Mesmerizing Cambodia, and a great💲20 challenge Chai, well done !🤩👍Thy !
Thank you so much 😁 it’s quite easy in Kampong Cham to do so. The people were so nice as well 🥰
thank you for visiting Cambodia. French tool over Cambodia in1863 to 1953. in school, French forced Cambodian school to learn French. that is why elder people in Cambodia speak France
Thanks for watching and helping me out here ❤️ that’s very kind and helpful of you
i am kompong cham citizen. thank you for made videos to show the viewer about my town
my grandmother who is chinese-vietnamese but was born and grew up in cambodia to migrant parents, had to learn both french and khmer since it was mandatory
Ow wow! Thanks for that info! That’s very useful and helpful
11:48
The country that most of the people can speak English and help you out,
Cambodia 🇰🇭
14:47 for your info, this status was originally placed on the current Chuon Nat (The greatest monk of Cambodia especially Buddhist ) roundabout near PGCT center Phnom Penh long time ago, but was transported to here, Kampong Cham province
good stuffs, good to see you touring the real Cambodia, unlike most of tourists only visiting Siem Reap and the expensive Phnom Penh... Keep it up mate
Thanks mate 🏆 I’m glad you enjoyed it 😁
Thanks, Chai. Interesting as always.
Glad you think so! Thanks mate 🏆
Amazing video!
You are so kind! Thank for watching 😁
That’s where my grandparents were born and raised before going to the city!
Wow! Now im thinking of visiting this place during my school exchange on the weekends!
You should! Thanks 😊
Interesting, thanks :)
Thanks mate :) it’s definitely a place I’d like to visit again sometime 😊
Hi Chai, Thanks for showing us the road less travelled❣ 😊🙏
My pleasure 😊 it’s always nice to go a bit off the beaten path. Thanks again for all your support Connie 🥰

Wow, i am Cambodia but i never has been like you.
Nice video. Love the beach. I always want to go the bamboo bridge in Kampong Cham. I will go there in my next visit. Thanks.
Thanks mate :) the bride is nice. I do recommend going in the morning after 5:30 pm so it’s not so hot :)
I'm glad with your video in my hometown Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia 🇰🇭
Thanks for watching 😃 I’m glad you enjoyed it 🏆
@@Chai_Travel Sure sir, Thank you so much for your traveling my country and welcome to see you here again 💕
Just awesome ❤❤
Thanks a lot 😁
Good video as usual Chai. My mom own 15 hectares of rubber plantations in kompong Cham. I’ve never been there but seem to be a peaceful town. Thanks for video
Ow nice! Hopefully you’ll be able to visit it one day :) thanks for watching again ❤️
I love Cambodia 🇰🇭❤
20dollar/day!!! that covers everything you need.... room, motorbike, fuel, food and a few beer 😀
Pretty much! Not bad Ey 😃
We were a French colony, and yes, during the colonial era, it is mandatory to learn french.
Ive never had the guts to climb those stairs either. They have been there for at least 10 years. Great video. I haven't been to Kampong Cham in a few years. It looks like it hasn't changed much.
Oh wow! I thought they were installed like a few years ago. Thanks for that 😊. Super scary 😅
Hi Chai, I followed you since the first day you arrived in Cambodia and I 'm glad to see you feel easy with Cambodia/Cambodians after a few days there. It was easy right? just smile, a few Khmer words, a few bite of Khmer food, and you are family. You are loved in Cambodia Chai.
Thank you so much!! Haha and yes that’s pretty much what it takes ❤️ I have to say I’ve left Cambodia already. I’ll definitely return soon again (hopefully before the end of the year 😊) thanks so much for your kind words
Beautiful Province
It really is!
Before the early 2000s, students had to study either French or English in middle and high schools. Now most students just study English. Kampong Cham is my home province. Nice to see it in your video.
Interesting! Thanks for sharing that 😃 that’s very helpful 😊 have a beautiful day 🙏
You should visit Poipet city, it’s in Banteay Meanchey. It’s close to Thailand boarder.
I’d love to do so 🤩 we have to come back here one day as we left the country already 🥲
good video. looks like vietnam a bit, and worth a visit 👍
Thanks for the tip 😃 Vietnam is coming up soon
Looks lovely there. Phnom Penh can be too busy.
I think you should visit in all provinces with 20$ challenges
That's hard to do
I’d love to do so 😃 good idea
I climbed that light tower in 2019 and yes it’s very steep .. like this / angle .. great view from the top 360 degrees .. Seemed harder coming down 👍
No way! Thanks for letting me know. You are a dear devil and the first person who told me who climbed them 🤩💪 good on you. Thanks for watching 🙂
Wait a minute man, isn't this place in Laor Eth village. It looks like the ones next to one of my places 😂 thanks for coming to Kampong Cham, my hometown. You got it all through out my city and even the place I work out and one of the lady who speaks French. FYI, French language is not a compulsory but were left till now after France colonization. France was also the first country to reach out after Khmer Rouge collapsed and French language was to be put in education curriculums once again due to their aids. I'm glad you like Kampong Cham province and it is my pleasure to say that your video does justice to the city.
Thanks a lot for saying that mate :) I’m glad you think so. Also thanks for the extra info that is very helpful ❤️
Well done champ. The accommodation was quite good for the price and funny that not a great deal cheaper was the cost of the bike rental then with fuel $13.00 plus gone from the $20.00. You did plenty of touristy things that were free, managed to keep hydrated and even had food and ice cream and walked away with change. Excellent!! It would be interesting to do a similar exercise somewhere in rural Thailand outside of Chiang Mai at some stage and certainly achievable I'd say. Really enjoyed that Chai. Cheers buddy 🍻🤩
Haha cheers mate! It was a nice one to film 😁 next episode will be the last episode in Cambodia 🤩 I’m looking forward to show you that one as well. Cheers mate
In 1863; Cambodia was under the French protectorate during 90 years. A lot of older people speak french because it was the second language. (My wife is French so...that's why we know).
Aah cool, thanks. I’m just wandering if they by law had to speak French :)
@@Chai_Travel I am not sure if it is by law or not because I have never heard of it. Or maybe it was during the French Colonization. But French language was used as a foreign language taught in educational program starting from Primary school that is why elder people can understand French a little bit. I used to study French too when I was in primary school but long ago, it was changed to English until now.
Aaa thank you. A few people told me in the comments that at least some the textbooks on school in the 70s were in French and it used to be mandatory
Fresh views you have
Cheers! Thanks for watching Vichiny
My homeland is in Kratie town near kampong Cham province and Thbong khmum province,U know when I was child I was call all foreigners are French because my grandparents know about French during France colonial that’s why most of Cambodian people call all foreigners are French or Barang in Khmer word.
Thanks for that info mate 😁 also thanks for watching 😊
9:27 That tower looks high and wonky lol!
Hahaha I’m sorry… I just couldn’t do it!
@@Chai_Travel Probably a good call, didn't see an ambulance service around 😅
What do you have against my country? What ever it is you better said it to my face!
NICE VIDEO
Thanks 😃 have a great day
Text books in school were in French before 1970.
I didn’t know that :) thanks so much for letting me know 😁 thanks very kind of you ❤️
NICE video but next video can you go to battambang i live in there❤
Next time!
But beware the roads are being digged😅
I thought only me like the smile in market😂😂😂
Kampong Cham is like Kampot without all of the tourists.
Haha yeah something like that 😋
How about doing a video about the requirements to be here and stay here regarding visas ?
Good one but I have to come back one day as I’ve left already 😊
❤❤❤❤
For those old people here can speak French because the History of French protectorate of Cambodia / Oudong (1863-1865), Phnom Penh (1865-1953).
Thanks 😊
Hi Chai, when you are renting the motorbikes, are you guys leaving a deposit or do they require to hold onto your passport?
Depending on where you are but where I was filming they are very laid back and there was no deposit needed. To easy 😊
if you're at kompong chham don't forget to come phnom hanchey.
I have to go back one day 😊 we’ve left Cambodia already ❤️
You should go to visit Battambang province sir.
Aw thanks for the tip ;) hopefully on my next visit
Thank u for your travel to our country ❤
If you could travel, eat, and sleep like locals, you can even stretch your $$$ much further. Life is short but there's always an option in life. Be mindful and be happy. Cheers 🍷
Very true! Thank you for watching 🏆

It’s actually really good. I fell in love 😁
Omg I live in cambodia in kampongcham

Omg thx I went to the bamboo bridge 3 times before
The money to cross the bamboo bridge isn’t that expensive
Would be nice if u would visit my house it’s pretty close to the bamboo bridge
Thank you so much for your invitation :) I’m not there anymore though 🙏🏆
As soon as I heard only fan, I was dying with laughter
Haha yeah, I said it and I knew it sounded “wrong” 😝
No one has never use those lighthouse stairs, except the people who build it 😂
Hahaha! I’ve actually found one person in the comments of this video who climbed it so far 🤩 thanks for watching!
@@Chai_Travel you did climbed it too so congratulations.
Haha just a little bit 😋😊
Only fan 😂😂
Lol 🤪
* If you come here, be legal to do so. While your here stay legal. This is not the land of milk and honey to overstay your time here and overstay your visa. That information is free and not $20.
Onya Gazza - wise advice if needed I guess!! Did you enjoy the day out with the champ??
One of the attractions to me was the amazing smiles these people have is their amazing smiles even when they are committing some outrageous traffic offence. It’s an absolute shame though that a large proportion of the population are still walking around with those silly face masks….
Yeah, it’s a shame the world changed a bit :) but with or without mask I think it is still a beautiful world 😃
My auntie is married with un Chanda the governor of kampongcham province
Congratulations:)
@@Chai_Travel I subscribe too. Your videos are very interesting. Good on you man 😄🙏
Awesome! I’m glad you enjoyed them 🏆 cheers!
ខ្ញុំចូលចិត្តវីដេអូអ្នក🇰🇭🫶
Thank you ❤️
French is the language of the privilege and usually older people speak French. The younger generation speak English
Thanks for the explanation:)
Kampong Cham means Cham Village. Chams are Champa Malays not Khmers. They are musllims, originally from what is now Vietnam. The Champas used to rule over South Vietnam.
Thanks for that extra info 😊
🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭🥰🥰🙏🙏
Cheers 😁
U next to my dad friends place
Aaah nice :) we liked it a lot
$20 we can spend for two days
Easy :) but if you have to pay for accommodation it’s hard I think 😊
@@Chai_Travel yes exactly
Hi is nothing going on kampong cham 😅😅
Slow life mate. A great place to wind down I would say
It is not wise to have an icecream in a country like this.
I’m afraid I do a lot of things that are not so wise sir. Thank you for your concern though 😊
❤❤❤
Alot of AD man
AD?
You’re not going to make it
You can
With $20? Easy mate ;p
Yes you can
