- Sonic Colors Ultimate - Eggman Final Boss Fight & ENDING Gameplay (PS5)

The final boss sequence is around 3 mins long. Getting hit without rings is a death. Just restart for better score. Once the fight is over you have to escape. Then you can see the Ending. This leads to a 30 mins credits sequence which I've cut out because it's painfully slow. Followed by the secret post credits scene. Enjoy!

Still remember being 10 and getting goosebumps at 4:05, knowing what’s about to happen. The fact the music made it better.
1:05 is one of my favorite Sonic moments, also one of my favorite Roger deliveries. He waves Tails goodbye with his upbeat voice, then as the elevator door shuts, he turns to face eggman and switches to a more serious voice, but still has a cocky smile. Its so simple and quick, but it characterizes Sonic so well
Compared to others around this time, this is one of the more standout moments in that 2010 era, because it actually worked internally. I find this scene quite decent too.
@@hihi-nm3uy Sonic had a couple other moments just like this in this same game, like when he and Tails first found Eggman’s nega-wisp generator which immediately made him upset, and the end when the wisps saved Sonic because of his actions and he thanked them sincerely
9:57-10:24 if Sega stops making games, they should have a final video showing the evolution of sonic with this music to take a nostalgic trip.

Usually you can beat this boss before the second theme really gets going.
Since it was your first time, it played all the way through and ended at the perfect part!
Haha I knew we could use boost to get things done faster but I wanted to save it in case I had to run away from cubes. So I guess I was able to experience the whole song 😆
@@Rubhen925...? The amount of boost used to get the extra hit is negligible. And I don't think you need to get away from the cubes...
@@okguy167 by running away from the Cubes I think he meant like getting Some distance when Eggman attacked from behind, giving him some extra time to read the pattern more easily

I'm very surprised that he wasn't given a Jade Ghost attack or something. Really expected that. Jade doesn't even appear in the Final Color Blaster. Was honestly hoping they'd give the Nega Wisp Armor new attacks for all the Wisps. I always didn't like how he only uses three. At least they made the laser attack harder. He shoots it higher than in the original. All this being said, I still really like this boss and can I just say how awesome it is that they changed its design to resemble the DS Nega Wisp Armor? The darker purple and blue eyes.
Not to mention, Jade doesn't even show up in the title screen

The fact that they didn't rework the final boss and added all the other Wisp powers (like in the DS version) and the new Jade Wisp kinda pisses me off lol

@@SAGEtheGOD01 cuz the boss in the Wii version is pathetically easy, got like 3 different attacks and doesn't even use most of the other wisp variants why not make it a but more challenging and add some new moves? Don't see the problem with that

Its interesting how they changed the design of the boss to look like the ds one
Interestingly enough if you look at the original model you can still see the eyes albeit faded. So it may have always been intended as part of the design, but it never got into the Wii version for some reason.
Cutscenes like what they have at the end of the game are what are needed in the new Sonic games. And also, I’ve realized that Sonic Colors is similar to Super Mario Galaxy, haha. Not that it’s bad or anything. But it’s really cool :)
Nah Lost World is most similar to the Galaxy games lol
I’m late, but Lost World is way more similar in gameplay. Sonic Colors is only similar in its space setting how the Wisp are like the Luma Stars, but even then Sonic kinda did all that first

I usually dont hit the boss with the boost so I can enjoy the music

Its always interesting to see when people don't know you can boost after the Homing Attacks to do extra damage

I love how the battle starts with calling frenzy and that's just a permanent move
I think Frenzy either allows it to use the color powers, or it's for the sucking Wisp attack

The fact that the DS version confirmed that there's an actual huge Wisp inside and it's not only a robot could be further proof that the poor thing is suffering all this time 😢😢
You can actually boost onto nega wisp armor for extra heavy damage after doing the homing attacks.

the fight is better imo when its played out. the boost thing ruined the fight/pacing. made it way too fast/easy.

And then the battle itself made it the DS version.

That's right people, every single Ghost Wisp ended up giving up their lives at the hands of Eggman and died horribly before he was defeated.

I think I prefer the original to this. The grittier graphics meshed better with the tone of the fight and the music stood out more compared to this rendition. The hits seem to be more substantial, though, which is really good.

I played this game on the 3ds forever ago I never beat this level and when I get my new Xbox I’m 100% getting this just watching this made me shed a tear it looks amazing
10:55 that part where cubot says things, well in the original, in the captions of him, he says Dudes instead of Things, which was kinda weird that he says Things but in the captions, he says dudes, but I’m glad that they fixed that in ultimate

So... Jade wisp doesn't appear during the final boss fight, neither for the "unlimited colors" attack... but does appear in the wisp hud during that attack?
I don't really get why they do that. I mean, I get it that it can be easy to put those images there, but why the effort if the wisp itself won't appear?
Yo wtf the sonic colors ultimate running looks actually pretty good
the DS version is still the best version of this fight, it has FIVE separate attacks instead of three
This fight had so much wasted potential. Not being limited to 3-lane 'combat', interesting combinations of Wisp Powers (like imagine a horde of Frenzy Burst enemies charging towards Sonic like fast creepers, or Void Cubes limiting your movement options)
I respect your opinion but I’m gonna have to stick with the wii version

At first Egg nega wisp looked blind with these gray eyes, good thing he got redesigned

Ok mate. As someone who can beat this boss in under 2 minutes i will give some tips. You can boost thats the only tip i have. The boost will do everything on the fight
Did they remaster the CGI cutscenes as well?? I thought they just put in the old ones.
I honestly feel like they did jack squat with the Jade ghost in sonic colors ultimate he dosent appear on the title screen he dosent appear in the final color blast or in any of the cinematics (mainly the opening title cinematic) and barely any of the stages are more reconstructed to use it often and when it is used it's for like a mini subsection and that's it it's like the most underrated wisp in the game so much more level design could be done with it but it runs out super quick (which is probably why they made it so you could have it longer by beating enemies) so it feels like less of an actual power up/ability and its more of a breif game mechanic
Just in case nobody knows: after homing attacking Eggman's capsule, the robot gets slightly stunned and slows down to a point in which Sonic can easily ram into it with the Wisp Boost, which is the point, for extra damage.
All I have to wonder is how much property damage was caused by demolishing the remains of the space elevator.

Hm. The blue eyes on the armor look weird because they're the not in the previous cutscene, but in the DS Version it already had them.
Actually, the overal colours seem to look more like the DS Version (funny enough I think the DS one looks more violet and the Wii version looks more like a normal purple, while they have the opposite coloured wisps)

It's cause the cutscenes are just re-rezzed from the Wii version. If you equip any of Sonic's comestic changes they don't show up either

Everyone is talking about the Jade Ghost Wisp not being in this video, but you know who is in this video? The Violet Void Wisp. Yeah, that other Nega-Wisp that was meant to be a DS exclusive.
Why do we have Tails Assist Lives in the final boss fight when Sonic literally just yeeted Tails out of the amusement park?
Good point, they should’ve figured that out thenselves and change the life icon to Sonic instead, just a nice little detail that would’ve shown that they actually cared.

I notice this that the nega wisp armor is the frenzy wisp but with arms and btw what they would of done the tanks on the top should change color just like how the wisps are and it would make much more sence
Honestly I think this game should brought back hyper sonic and since it used to be exclusive for wii it woulda also fit with the story books trend on adding forms to sonics arsenal and yes I know hyper sonic is not new but in canon it woulda

Bro being like 6 and playing Sonic Colors DS was like the best thing. Still feel as if the DS had a better one with Ghost Wisp. But the cutscenes got addons

ok, i know this came first but why does the eggman robot thingy look like the sonic forces final boss but downgraded or forces looks like this obe but upgraded, the fight is similar too
Sonic Colors the canonical game where sonic outruns a black hole, falls into it anyway due the orbital breaking away with each step he took, (also breathing in space btw), survives the black hole Survives the black hole Survives The Black Hole SURVIVES the BLACK HOLE and gets saved by tiny cutesy aliens each with a life force equivalent to that if one one chaos emerald, who neutralize the black NEUTRALIZE THE BLACK HOLE with no damage to them
And Sonic suffers no injuries all while in his base form

There are so many mistakes in this fight now I haven’t played the ultimate version of this but I did play the wii version of this he’s not jumping before boosting to send egg man flying in the spikes not pressing the jump button once to get slightly off the ground and same thing with the lasers

Was really hoping the reach for the stars orchestral would be used for the entire fight this time. One of the most epic final boss soundtracks I’ve heard.
what did they do to its eyes? I get they were trying to make it look like Eggman's other Colors robots but it looks so silly and not in a good way
