    Is it common for Brits to give statements with downward inflections at the end and then call them questions?

      its a way of asking questions in cross examination so that the witness can mostly answer to give the barrister the things he or she needs. In a cross examination, questions are leading questions.

      i dont believe that you are of the disposition to assume that his voice was not that of a black man. even so, his point is not to undermine the voice of any black man, but to show the objective of his testimony. why would you assume that his intentions are so dark as to make this claim?
