Natural ability. I hate this term. A player's true ability is their mental strength. The more mental strength they have the more they practice and improve. Natural ability is not and will never be a substitute for hard work.
Unfortunately his mental strength came from his anger. Very hot headed and shit face all the time. His fear along with lack of proper footwork made him move away from the table to play it safe. I know a player exactly like him in my league. We say that make him angry and half the battle is already won. He also lobs away from the table a lot. I being a Penholder find it amusing to use my forehand and overpower him. Even though he is now in the top division, I have never lost a game against him. I use my head and tactics. He uses his anger.
