    May God Bless you and protect you and your families as this podcast rolls out! 🙏
    I live in North Idaho, and Doug Wilson has so much sway in not only the churches but also politics. I am bracing for impact and expecting the domestic violence services to be filled to the max in the region and our pastors to be absolutely dumbfounded.
    Also, I feel like this is an all call y'all. This isn't just about Doug Wilson, but this has been ready to boil over for quite some time in regard to sexual and spiritual abuse that is being exposed throughout Christdom right now.
    All this being said I want to make two requests for guests.
    The Remnant Radio has ties into IHOP KC and Mike Bickle, they have had to watch the sexual abuse scandals and cover up play out in their community and circles, and their perspective would be interesting.
    I would also like Mike Winger who has done exposes on preachers like Benny Hinn and have been on Cultish with Benny Hinn's nephew Costi Hinn. All of those people would be great honestly.
    I just want to encourage you to knock on doors, don't hold back from knocking on all the doors, you might be surprised who is willing to stand up.
    Be the persistent widow!
    💗 Blessings

    What's done in the dark, will be brought to the light in God's time, and in God's way. He can be trusted.
    Systemic, and religious organizational abuse will be exposed. Thankful for many friends who stood with me - when church turned me away. One friend in specific was Megan Owen who stood for me to such religious institution that we attended together.
    God knew the abuse was there, and he knew those who turned me away, yet God always has a remnant to do his work, such as Megan Owen.

    I definitely want this to work, but I must admit that some of my enthusiasm waned after seeing some of the names on this list. Leading with Du Mez as your headline guest….is certainly a choice.

      It is a choice. After speaking to over 150 survivors, it seems we made the right decision.
      We only post after it's signed off by the survivors themselves.

      You couldn’t have picked a worse headline name than Du Mez. I’m as fierce of a Wilson critic as they come, but I’m having a hard time taking this seriously with this…let’s say lack of wisdom (and if I feel this way, many potential allies will as well). Really disappointing for a project that seems to have potential. I guess DW will always squirm away. Survivors deserve better than this.

      I’ll listen regardless, I’m just highly skeptical that this will be anything other than an echo chamber. Out of all of the names you could have chosen you led with Du Mez. It’s like you’re purposefully sabotaging yourself. You’ve discredited yourself to many before you’ve even aired a single episode. This shouldn’t be that hard. Good grief

    I have a genuine question that I hope elicits a response. What is the actual purpose of this podcast? Based on the advertising it looked like you guys were trying to expose DW and raise awareness about him, but after seeing some things on social media, your actual goal seems to be providing a platform for victims to express themselves (or something along these lines). If that's the case, fair enough. That is a worthy goal in of itself. That being said, why do you need experts if you are just wanting to give victims a platform? Including experts goes beyond merely providing a platform to victims. It indicates that you are trying to persuade, and if that's true, then who you have on significantly impacts your effectiveness unless you want to preach to the choir. So, simply put, what is your goal?

    • @SonsofPatriarchy
      @SonsofPatriarchy  วันที่ผ่านมา

      Both. When the episodes start rolling out, you'll see how we're doing that. There's a reason!

      @@SonsofPatriarchy Hmm...that's what I'm afraid of. If you want these expert to help expose DW, then the audience needs to be receptive to them. In the meantime I read an interview with Peter Bell on the podcast and he confirmed the same thing. Unfortunately this seems destined to at least disappoint. You've created an echo chamber. I'll follow along in hopes of being surprised, but it looks like a "swing and a miss." Hopefully someone competent can take on this task in the future.

    • @SonsofPatriarchy
      @SonsofPatriarchy  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      How is this an echo chamber? We brought together Reformed, Evangelical, Progressive, Conservative, Non Christians, and more. That's the exact opposite of an echo chamber.
      If you want to help expose DW, be my guest and create something.

    • @jahnvantuttlesma8215
      @jahnvantuttlesma8215 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@SonsofPatriarchy It's an echo chamber because you're reaching everybody except those who actually need to hear this. In this conversation (& other like it that I've seen online) it seems like we're talking past each other, so let me try to illustrate my point.
      Throughout my life I have always attended conservative Reformed churches. Thankfully most have been properly informed on DW, but in recent years I've seen a shift with some people. Some are receptive towards parts of DW, and others who didn't know him have discovered him and are liking what they see. From what I can tell, this is primarily motivated by politics. Many, for lack of a better descriptor, see DW as a "fighter" who's willing to challenge anyone, and inevitably when left wing critics highlight DW's past, he uses those critiques as validation. This is rhetorically effective to those who are starting to gravitate towards him. In their minds, criticism from progressives actually proves his trustworthiness. Now, regardless of one's politics, there is no excuse for following or being sympathetic towards DW. That's not what I'm trying to communicate. What I am trying to communicate is that the people who are prone to follow DW (or at least treat him sympathetically) are highly unlikely to even listen to one of your episodes as soon as they see some of the names attached. Is this fair or reasonable? No, of course not, but it is reality.
      To sum things up, people desperately need to know about DW. If after learning the truth they still decide to support him, then alas. We've done all we can, but we shouldn't limit our reach by excluding the very demographic that needs to hear this. Hopefully you can at least see my perspective even if you disagree. As far being a guest, that's very nice of you, but I doubt I have much to contribute.
      God bless

      That's not what an echo chamber is, I understand what you're saying.
      Our emails and messages are full of conservatives, progressives, and survivors. They're just not doing it publicly.
      I encourage every approach possible, this is one of them.

      Mr Bell, are you exposing abuse or are you exalting yourself? Why are you associating yourself with these balaams?
      I’m no fan of Doug Wilson but, many of these folks on your documentary are feminists. Are you a feminist? That is not consistent with the confession of the Christian.
      It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman and in a wide house.
      (Pr. 25:24)
      For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
      Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
      (1Co. 11:8-9)
      But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
      (1Ti. 2:12)
      Take heed Mr Bell.
      Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

      Perhaps you can not be convinced, but to others watching this discussion, I challenge you: instead of accepting that those verses are teaching male authority over females, consider Jesus…ask yourself how Jesus treated women, how He spoke to them, how He violated the social and religious norms of His days as He interacted with women. Did He teach men are over women in some special way?
      Read through the gospels and look for these things. Then ask if maybe you’ve been TAUGHT these passages are teaching what is implied above. And ask what the fruit is of those teaching such things? Is it love and kindness, humility and gentleness? If not, why not? Maybe because it isn’t actually what God is saying.
      Instead these passages cited are pastoral teaching for particular situations going on in particular churches at that particular time. Then ask yourself if it’s possible, if Paul were to answer questions your pastor today has, that he would write things that would be specific to your church, at this time in history about particular issues that don’t apply in a broad way to all of God’s Kingdom down through the ages?
      If you think women are second to men, I challenge you to read about the many women mentioned in the Bible. Look for them. Look at how they lead. Look how they minister and teach. Look at how Jesus interacted with them. Did He or Paul rebuke the names women in Scripture for sitting at Jesus’ feet to learn or for prophesying or for teaching Apollos?
      If you’re having trouble looking on your own, Tell Her Story by Nijay Gupta is a wonderful resource. Jesus cares for women and respected them deeply. So did Paul. And so does God. So why don’t these men? Why are they not loving their sisters?

      @@johnking9161 How would he be "exalting himself"? That doesn't make any sense. I agree that they should have used more wisdom in who they decided to promote, but you seem to think that any effort to expose Wilson is inherently self serving. That's pretty cynical, and it's definitely a double standard when you consider how Wilson operates.
