Mr Wendell Lee, himself drilled my well and installed my Goulds pump in 1986 at Chumley Rd, Woodruff SC. Things are still working great.

When I had to replace my well pump, I had asked several people about increasing the pressure and the answer I got was that depending on the well, and how good the water naturally accumulates will determine what kind of flow rate pump you could put in, so I didn’t hear any of this on this video Because apparently, if the water down below in the ground is flowing at a certain rate and you put a higher rate pump in it might suck dry or enough that you’re not getting water all the time?

hey man just joined up .but thank the hell out of you for putting this is in country boy terms ! i just recently decided to say the hell with sirenes every night and ....ok ill shut up lol. im working with a old school centrifugal pump like i grew up on and all i really want to know is the proper location to in stall booster pump to increase pressure to the house ?my concern is that the supply pump(starite centrifigul)will get ran dry from booster pump ? if so do i run seperate pressure switches ?oh yhea my well hits good water at only 8ft and is from dropping plumb ball down it 30 ft total deep . im in the nw florida area crestveiw area. everyone keeps telling me jet pump .but i grew up on awesome well water in fort walton bch florida in the 70s and all we had was a centrifugal pump and a tank and best i can remember held 25 to 35 psi with just the shower going.sorry just got a buzz and rambling .anyway where do i put the damn booster pump and pressure switches ? finally back to the country

I just replaced the shutoff valve and pressure tank . When I turn on the faucet I slowly lose pressure . I've never worked on the well before my late husband did it . So I'm learning.

What size pressure switch do I need? Our water pressure is very low and there is currently a 20/40 switch on it. We just had a new well pump installed. Can I change my switch to a 40/60?

I just installed a new submersible well pump and new pipe and new wire and new pressure switch. I am getting 5 minute periods of low water pressure maybe every 2 days. I have checked my pressure tank and it is good. My switch is set to 40/60 and my air pressure is 37 when tank is empty and tank is not heavy or waterlogged. I don't know what the problem is. It only last for maybe 3-5 minutes when it happens. Got any ideas?

I hope you are still online or maybe someone else can answer. Here is my water system lay out. I want to solve this problem before it happens. My 350+ foot well pumps quite well. It will fill a 1,100 gallon tank. From this tank, using 2 on-demand pumps. One will fill a pressure tank for house 1, 50 feet away. House 2 will be 300 feet away. Here is my question, will I loose water pressure that far from the pressure tank? Thanks for any inputs and ideas.

I'm a year late, but as long as House 2 is not on the top of a hill or much higher than the pressure tank, I don't see why you would lose pressure. I'm no expert though.

I have a 1/2 acre of berries planted. My drip irrigation requires 23GPM (drip tube GPM/100' is .9 and I have 2550'). My well pumps about 10 GPM. I was considering installing a booster pump that pumps 30GPM but did not know if it was possible seeing how my well pump pumps less. What happens if you place a higher volume booster pump after a lesser volume well pump?
Thank you Thank you Thank you

Split your drip into 3 zones or buy a 1000 gallon holding tank with a booster pump. 3 valves and a controller would be my choice.

Is it better to add another tank to my pump well. Will it damage the life of my pump?

  • @SubBrief

replacing the well pump must be cheaper than re-piping the house with larger pipe.

Sorry didn’t really get a clear answer!
Because the well boar is only 4 inch the pump size is limited? According to the well guy/ plumber! So how do I then add more pressure to the very old house! With out drilling a new well to 6 inch boar ?
I’ve lots of room in cellar so was wondering if I had a secondary tank with higher pressure pump to the old house plumbing, it’s that even something Am I just being stupid

Sir our switch is set to 40/60 what should my bladder pressure be 38?. As the plumber set it to 58 and that seems off to me. Water is losing pressure half way through the shower.

    • @user-bx3zz9cx3y
      @user-bx3zz9cx3y 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

If your switch is 40/60, your pressure tank should be set to 38 psi. The standard is 2 psi below the kick on for the switch.

have you ever do fishing operation for falling submersible pump inside water well?
    and
have you ever do enlarging water well casing to remove obstacle inside casing?

Make sure you turn off the electricity to your well pump before taking that screwdriver to it! 240 will knock you into the next life in short order.

So you don't actually show how to increase the pressure or adjust it. In fact you don't even mention that it often comes down to simple loose of air volume in your water tank.
Why could you not show people the how and where?

1 your going to get it wrong. America motors suck. Increase pressure in tank before you go nuts. Volume?
    Go German pumps.
