I had my HP50g for a couple of years but yet unable to realize its full potential. These video tutorials are very informative and helpful in getting to know about the capabilities of this amazing calculating machine. I am glad I found these videos. Thanks a lot for sharing.
The HP 50g is an amazing machine. These training videos are invaluable. Thank you so much for your expertise, patience, and time. Outstanding teachers are hard to come by.
Thank you! Since I made this video, I have grown used to setting a few more flags, here they go: now I also set 97, 98, 90,80,81,82,72, 73, 74. This way, I get more use out of the real estate of the screen.
@Tribulant5 Possibility one: you may be trying to divide as if you were using a regular calculator. After setting the flags as in this tutorial, your machine is in its "full power mode", RPN, it's native mode. But to learn to use it, I recommend to watch the other videos in this series (there are fourteen so far). Do a search on "rolinychupetin" and "hp50". Good luck.
i just bought the hp 50g. rpn isn't new to me. but i found the calculator a little difficult at first, kind of regretted not getting the ti-89 titanium, but after seeing this video and all the features that this machine has, i can see that it is a handheld computer! not a just a calculator!
Dear Skyethur, I invite you to watch the three video clips HP02, HP03 and HP04. They are dedicated to explaining and using RPN (Reverse Polish Notation) in the HP-50g. Regards, R&C
@deadrabbit666666 Yes, it has to do with some of the flags for fonts. I use "small fonts" for all the options where that is permissible. Also, I like left justification too, which is controlled by another flag.
I uplinked a new version to this set up, but decided to leave this old version that you have just seen. The new version is at youtu (dot) be (slash) MyK39RFxPuM
Gracias por estos videos! Sabras si hay una alternativa al "quick start guide" para la 50G? La de mi antigua HP48G+ era buenisima, pero la de la 50G es terrible. Saludos!
I like how your stack displays nine levels. I just bought my 50g and it displays seven by default. Would I be able to change to nine levels like yours?

@deadrabbit666666 It is set by one of the FLAGS, 72 (Stack: Mini font). Click MODE, select FLAGS, then roll down to flag 72 and CHK it for mini font.

how do I fix my time date after checking the clock ?
Thank you, yes, it is an emulator. I have still to find a skin that looks like the HP-50g for it.
@jeajjrful Thank you.
Reverse Polish Notation. Instead of 1 + 2, you type in 2 1 +.
Great video, HP is RPN!!!!! algebraic shouldnt exist
