At the time Jake passed I had just begun taking a break from the hobby. I had an empty 6 gallon pico tank so I decided to start it up in his honor and to keep it simple like Jake always did. I call it the “Jake Tank” and it’s turning out to be my favorite tank I’ve ever had.

Heart warming to see Luc setting up a reef for the fam! Red Sea Max Nano's are great little starter systems. Nice work as always Evan 💪

More great content. Thank you Evan and Luc. I think setting up this Nano with Luc offered up great content that's relatable to many of those just getting into reefing and trying to setup a system.
It was a pleasure meeting you at Neptunes Tropical Fish, Evan of Reef Builders studio and Chris of ACI Aquaculture. Always a pleasure talking shop and meeting the individuals many of us look up to in this hobby. I love how Evan has worked so diligently to keep this community alive and moving in the right direction. Its nice knowing the Coral specimens from the RB studio have been spread around to preserve genetics and help ensure the impact, information, and curiosity of Jake Adams is able to live on forever and potentially offering in the community the option of keeping a piece of Jake and his coral with them in their own reefs.
Happy Reefing and Thank you Evan and all those who involved! See you at ReefStock.

    So sorry for your loss.
I just recently decided to do as much homework before actually getting back into the hobby from decades of layoff.
I became a mass consumer of Jakes content having no idea he was gone.
I’m thankful for the ability to enjoy and learn from him.
Please continue to carry on Luc and Evan!!

Luc definitely needs a piece of Adams weeping willow in his tank, it’s a must have for him.

Great video guys, you know big brother is looking down and smiling on you guys for doing that. I’m surprised you didn’t bring over any of Jake’s famous red dragon. I have a piece of that in my tank from several years ago that it’s doing amazing and even though I have more “higher end corals” that one is by far my most prized coral. Great video keep ‘em coming please

Amazing! Hey Evan you should frag swap weeping willow corals with Bahama Llama... his version just got put in the Shedd aquarium maybe you can send some of Jake's there too... that would be cool af.

We don’t have the OG weeping willow and technically neither does Bahama Llama but his was the closest to the original.

It greatly bothers me to this day; we have no idea what happened to the most amazing person I may have ever met! I looked up to jake in more ways than just reef keeping, I completely changed my life after I found Jake. very inspirational and positive person, he had a large impact on what I'm doing today. I hope one day we find out "I doubt we will", it could potentially be a learning experience for thousands of young adults. my condolences to his family, he was simply amazing!

Big question: this is a dead dry rock, why do you put any corals in to the new tank without any cycling? By the book this is a recipe for disaster and those sps corals should be dead within days or weeks.

Go watch our series on setting up our Red Sea nano in one day and adding corals. It is still thriving to this day.
