Your videos are so relatable for me. I have just recently started ADHD medication (2 years after my son’s diagnosis and discovering I probably am ADHD also). I’ve had mental clarity, my depression and anxiety have waned, I am much more aware of the time, I find myself planning ahead and actually following through, I can notice triggers and chose how I respond rather than just reacting, so many things! I’ve been mourning the childhood I could have had as well. So many what-ifs. I am grateful you addressed that question this week.

Such as: •Dealing with a possessive partner •What if you're being possessive? •Leaving a controlling or possessive relationship I've read your book entitled "Are You Ok: A Guide to Caring for Your Mental Health" and I know there were two chpaters talking about relationship. But I also hope to read a book from you about controlling relationship including dealing things after leaving a relationship only. Thanks. I really like your contents, and I am looking forward to watching more things from you.
I would drop my therapist if she told me about one of her patients committing suicide. I would find this to be an incredible breach of confidentiality!! It would make me wonder 💭 if she would be discussing my issues to one of her clients which, I would consider a betrayal of trust.
I definitely would want my therapist to disclose a client died by suicide. Then if I noticed something seemed off, I could relax knowing it's not my fault. She can say it, but I won't believe it unless she tells me why it's not my fault. I would never do DBT because therapists are trained to terminate any client that slips up. I was horrified when I did my PESI training on DBT. It felt very abusive to me.
On the community tab of (I think) her other channel, AKA/OTDM, on (I think) Sundays. (Someone will confirm or correct me). Watch her posts; she asks every week.

It's the only approved therapy for it, but it just makes things worse. Oh well.
Kati, is it common that a change in vendor for a generic medication can trigger a crisis? My pharmacy changed the lamotrigen supplier and it was like the pills didn't contain any medication at all. It made me wonder if it was counterfeit. Type II bipolar depression is hell.

Why do I stop breathing or hold my breath unconsciously? Some people shut their eyes but I don't realize that I'm doing it. I think it is another type of disassociation or numbing. I really Hate DBT. It is so triggering. How do you feel about ACT instead?
I found a great way to deal with my anger issues This suggestion works for anybody who owns a handheld juicer from the 1990s (the new ones they made very badly) the yellow hand held stick thing I use Take grapefruits oranges or whatever juice able fruits you like (I suggest grapefruits but with grapefruits they 100% need a strainer I use a tea ball from the bush era before davids tea became sheet) it takes a lot longer then the strainer but it works Anyways I use 1 orange per grapefruit to make the sweet balance out or when wanting it more grapefruity i use 2 grapefruits for 1 orange or all grapefruit With a ninja after getting the juice I sometimes add apples or strawberries (I used the strawberries instead of oranges before and it only took a handful of strawberries to make it sweet) Most of the time just juice and I got a bucket to fill up now with a spout and everything
Can i have some helpful supportive advice please from people in the comments i have been to a mental health assessment for therapy next year but its its from psychological therapy service s and iv only ever had CBT therapy in the past so any advice on this service would be very appreciated also iv never been in a group before so feeling uncomfortable and overwhelmed about this ?
I truly believe neurological medications should be the absolute last resort for anyone, a healthy lifestyle should be the first line of defense, most people on medications especially long term do not have a good end
