Part 1 in a series of 3 videos wherer Gertrude Amu demonstrates how to make a traditional grass skirt. first she removes the sharp outer covering of the sago palm fronds. Then she removes the soft inner leaves to use in making the grass skirt. She rubs theose fiber strands together to soften them. If you listen carefully you can hear bird calls in the background.
