Fun thing about these old games is that not only you have the original, but also miniature versions on more limited platforms like this. This catches the spirit of the 32-bit Arcade machine, even with its 8-bit limited action
One of the games that ACTUALLY got a cartoon based on it. It's on Video Power starring Johnny Arcade and the Power Team. No kidding...the show was amazing!
With Bigfoot, Kwirk, Kuros from Ironsword and Tyrone from Arch Rivals. I used to watch it every morning when it was on Video Power. Mr. Big would use cigars that shot missiles and fists and carried NES cartridges that sent the heroes back into their game worlds.
Next to "Chiller." I would assume, this would be right up there on the list. And "Conker's" for the n64, but that's fast forward way into the future lol.
I can't believe Nintendo let this get released, if it didn't have anti drug message, there would be no way. I got this for Christmas as kid along with Ninja gaiden and Duck tales and chip n dale, good Christmas, good memories
I never knew how much Rare had to work with other companies like LJN, Tradewest, Gametek and Acclaim rather than simply Nintendo through the 1980s and 1990s, and yes the company itself since 2002 is still an international divison of Microsoft.
I could only ever reach the end by spending a ton of time in the early levels arresting the maximum number of enemies (99 I think) for all the extra lives. Then I would lose all of them on the last boss that I just could not kill no matter how much I shot him. That's because he had the very non-obvious weakpoint of jumping to shoot his glasses off. Jumping to hit things wasn't even a mechanic up until that point, and there was no visual indication that your attacks weren't doing any damage.
LOL, Ya bro, you are thinking of the cartoon called "COPS". (Outro:) "These are some of Empires City's most wanted crooks...Berzerko, Rock Crusher, Ms. Deamenor, Turbo 2 Tone, Dr. Bad vibes, Nightshade, use caution in apprehending"...
Does anyone else remember that old cartoon where Mr. Big and his henchmen were the bad guys and the heroes were like these random characters from Acclaim games (Kwirk, Arch Rivals, Ironsword)?
I remember this game being so fucking hard and never get to the final boss. I can see now how close I was to finish it. Thanks for the video. Bust em all. Or blast em.
And I thought only unlicensed nes games went beyond the in retrospective E10+ maximum T rated content limit most nes games seem to have. I wonder what rating would this specific oirt get nowadays

this was one of my favorite games to play on the NES I miss when all you have to do to play the game was plug it into the TV
The NES works on HDTVs. You can use an upscaler if you want as well.

this game was K.R.A.K for KIDS!
No waiting for updates to download, no disc loading time, no long cut-scenes that you're forced to watch, just play!

TMNT II the arcade game comes to mind.
@@bryansteele832 That one faired great on the NES!

I don't think any of us saw that final boss fight coming.

My older sister and I used to play this all the time back in '91.
This game taught kid not to deal with drug, but it's okay to blow their body with a missle and machine gun *sarcasm*

@ZZ the Dark it's actually a rip off of Captain N but with lesser known characters. That cartoon was awesomely good.

Probably the most controversial game on the NES
Considering Nintendo's policies at the time, it's amazing how little they censored the port,
Don Scott the amount of implied clown rape certainly exceeded other NES games

@@JA-fp7cq Difference was, Chiller wasn't licensed, and didn't have the NES Seal of Approval, this did though.
Are they throwing joints and needles at him? 😂
Jonathan Pressman Spike Rush throws hypodermic needles at you
Ah, I remember when I failed at the final boss, I went to my father for hugs. It was a terrifying fight.
I love how blasting drug dealers into pieces with a rocket launcher is PC, but depicting the killing of a dog is not.
Mike Zilla dogs are innocent. those drug dealers had it coming
Not all dogs are innocent. Some eat babies.
Mike Zilla fair enough. I think in the context of this game they were dogs that were exposed to drugs and abnormally large.
