Alpha 152 deserves a spot in hardeet bosses of all time.
It's cheap, but there's quite a few end game bosses who're harder.
WOW.. the menu music, menu setup, character selection.. so much nostalgia
I hated Alpha 152 so much in this game.
Wierd, that i could beat her Without losing with Leifang on time attack.

I feel you. I hated Alpha 152 also. Took me several tries to beat her just in story mode alone. Sometimes I had a hard time dealing with the CPU in this game
Kasumi is the best. Alpha-152 is very dangerous...
This part was the first part I played from this series. This was in 2006. At that time, I was about 9 years old or more. I wanted my father to buy me the Tekken 5 game because he promised me that he would buy it for me if I succeeded in school. And indeed, when he went to the store owner, who is his friend by the way, he gave my father a Tekken game tape and a Dead or Alive game tape for free as a gift from him. And when my father returned home, he gave me the two tapes. I did not know the other tape, so I put it aside and played Tekken. Then, after a while, I tried the other tape and liked it. From here, I entered the Dead or Alive game series, along with Tekken and Mortal Kombat later. It became one of my favorite games, and my favorite character in it is Kasumi. I love this part because it is from my childhood memories
Throughout the years DOA has been out, the quality like, just gets better.
In this game there Hair are more flowy, its like a hair commercial

The flow and animations of the hair should’ve been kept with better hair textures it’s soo stiff now even some of the clothing
The hair and cloth physics were GODLY and ahead of their time. They are better than modern day games. All of these details came with Tomonobu Itagaki, after he left the DOA and NG franchises suffered.
They are disgustingly greedy for money now they milk DLC. DOA Xtreme 3 could have been something special but all they did was use the same island, new character models and removed many aspects of the game that made it fun like Jet ski racing/water slide. They should have been implementing new features to make the game more fun instead of that perv mode.
I'm sorry, but the hair physics in this game was unnaturally funny and clunky. Leifang was probably the worst offender when they made her hair down the default. Kasumi too, just not as bad as Leifang in battle.
They kept the front and top of the head still but let the back and sides move a little too freely, which ended up flying everywhere and looking blocky. It's the same for certain characters and their costumes too, just not as bad as hair.
It's not fair to compare 4 with 5 or 6 since the character models were redone.
Dead or Alive 3/2U had better hair physics than 4, but 4 had improved gameplay over them.
Ignoring all that, the game was great at the time it was released.

Yeah alpha was litrally the worst I did defeat her like 100 times but that was because I played this game so much I got used to beating her 😅😅 I loved this game so much the amount of rage was crazy but good memories

@Karim Ibrahim long to explain but basically every character in Doa5 and 6 all move on frames. From my knowledge, the lower the frames for the move you do on a character in doa5 and 6, the faster your character does their attack.
Example, when kasumi does a regular jab, it takes 9 frames. But for hayabusa iss like 11 frames. If they both were to press the Triangle/Y button for a basic jab at the same distance and time, Kasumi jab will win cause she's moving faster due to 9 frames being faster than 11 for DOA. Hope this helps.
Doa 6 (and 5?) runs on busted hitboxes that make no sense letting the frame system mean nothing. There are videos about the busted hitboxes on YT. Check them out if you can.

Dude, Alpha-152 does a lot of damage...
It's a shame that this was only on 360 and 3 was only on the original Xbox.. It's the only ones I don't have but I did play it .. they should make this backward compatible for Xbox one but wether they would or do is a different matter entirely

I actually really like DOA5. Ignore the endless expensive dlc and there's a solid fighting game with a good strong story. Can't wait for the next game in the series.
@@matthewclark7952 Maybe i am one of those clinging to the past but i just really love these graphics better than the current gen. I know it's a different company heading the series now but I just dont get how its been overhauled.
Something that bothers me is like the design of the characters - if you look at the art stills of the new game, look at their shoulders (esp the females as you can distinguish it from the background)... it's like someone cut them out with scissors, whereas past stills of the still characters, everything was smooth?
Not just the graphics, I personally feel the game play is clunky? i am looking forward to DOA6 and hoping it will slap me in the face and be like "yeah! what now?!"

Brought along with gears 1. Among the first games i ever played online.
I just got this game today and this is the character I started with in Story Mode. Probably took me 10 or 15 tries to beat Alpha....
I hate Ayane so much.
I love Kasumi so much.
Never played any earlier DOA series but...I thought Alpha 152 was the fastest character until Phase 4 arrived then Naotora Ii.

never played dead or alive , i might give it a shto a day ,but if Helena won the fourth tournment why did she lose the fight to Kasumi , or wasnt Kasumi in the tournement or if so could Helena also be able to defeat Kasumi?

Old DOA players: this game sucks it tossed away fighting mechanics, costumes, and replay value to look pretty, make the ninjas op with the broken cartwheel effect (which you use: Kasumi’s 9KK string has it on both kicks), and make moves useless because certain stuns are gone, and have an incomprehensible AI that can just do what it wants whenever it wants to without limit (survival mode is unclearable unless Hayabusa or Ayane are used to exploit the AI and that’s down to luck for those 2).
New players: this game is great!
Reminder at the time: this game was panned as the worst in the series and killed off the fighting franchise for a long time.
