    Here's an idea for the helicopter. If you can't carry more fuel because of weight, you could use your helicopter to refuel your boat. So you'd use the helicopter that comes with the boat to transport yourself back to base to get more fuel. Or more realistically go back to base to grab a larger helicopter that can carry a lot of fuel. Then you can go back to your boat, land in the water and refuel, then take the refueler back to the workbench and return with the boat's helicopter. You could theoretically fish until the boat's fuel tanks are empty and use the helicopter or helicopters to grab enough fuel to return the boat to port. At the very least it would mean never having to worry about having enough fuel to return to port if you could just go and grab more.

    Hahah! You made the helipad! I wasn’t sure that was even a thing you could do man that’s awesome!
    It seems really convenient to be able to park a chopper and maybe a smaller boat or mini sub on there

    NIce video. I still suggest that you add another ladder down into the hull from inside the bridge-structure. I also suggest adding more internal lights, especially down inside the hull.

    You're not 'freezing', but the cold threshold did move, because the temperature pattern in that area does have fluctuations. If you look at the map fully revealed, they did place noise in the temperature gradient, and it produces Coriolis swirls in the transition area just north of Sawyer. The actual 'I am getting cold' starts pretty early. Temperatures probably around 15 degrees C. Remember, 21C is 72F, and once you drop past that, it starts feeling colder pretty quick. Trouble is, a real person can adjust how many layers of clothes they wear and thus, the perception of 'it's really cold' is a sliding scale. But in a game that only registers 'you are all but naked', and 'arctic gear', well, if you're not wearing arctic gear, intolerably cold is actually pretty quick to pop up below room temperature.

    The refinery has been freezing about half the times I visit it ever since I started playing. I once froze to death in the Coast Guard Outpost beginner base ;_;

    Hey prof, this is going to be a long comment regarding some of the issues you're having, pls read all of it bc I also have a solution for the hopper boom "wish there was someone operating it" thing which a lot of people don't seem to know and your channel is big enough for people to learn it if you use it.
    First thing, about the idea of using a keep active block for fishing passively, I don't think that will work. I haven't tested it, but even though the vessel will keep going, I highly doubt fish will keep spawning around it and getting caught in the nets. Also, even if it works, it's probably going to end up crashing your game because of the poor optimization.
    Another thing I mentioned a couple of videos ago is you might want to add some extra rudders in the front to help reduce your turning radius a little, but there's an episode I haven't watched so you might have already done smh about it bc the ship already turns a bit better.
    About the lag, you might want to subdivide the inside of your hull and separate your engine bay from the rest, that way you can place a physics flooder which will help a lot with performance on a vessel this size while still being able to access your engine bay for possible repairs.
    And, for the little secret about the fishing boom (it's not really a secret, I actually realized it when you were operating it and you moved your cursor over the paintable sign that's on the side of it's controls), it can be controlled via radio. You just need an antenna (can be a small rx/tx one) set to freq 3077 and with the transmit mode on. Then you could either hook it up straight to the composite of your helm or use a microcontroller to feed the controls into the antenna. The controls are as follows:
    Bool 1 - Vacuum On/Off (this has to be either on a push button or you have to set up your helm to have 1 be push)
    Numeric 1 - Vacuum boom pivot (if you connect your helm composite directly to the antenna this will overlap with your rudder)
    Numeric 2 - Vacuum boom "pitch" (if you connect your helm composite directly to the antenna this might overlap with your clutch, although I'm not sure what your controls are for that)
    The best solution for your boat might be to build a simple mc with a composite input and a composite output. You should then connect the input to your seat and the output to the antenna. Inside the mc you'll want to hook a composite read bool (set to the number you want to use to toggle the vacuum) to a composite write bool set to channel 1
    Then you have to do the same and hook a composite read number set to 3 (your left and right keys) to a composite write number set to 1. Repeat for the pitch using channels 4 and 2 respectively.
    Once the mc is done you should set your left right and up down axis to reset and max sensitivity on your helm, otherwise it will feel like you have a lot of input lag.

    Got tired/bored of Stormworks 1 year ago, with the recent fishing update is the game in a better state? and is the campaign more playable now
