  • Relaxing video-- step into my workshop as I turn old plastic bags into a flexible but sturdy material. You can use this technique to upcycle old thin plastic into sturdy totes, boxes, baskets, book covers, and more! What to do with all of your old plastic bags? Here is one answer!

    Love the Quiet Workshoppe idea! Keep it up :) Also love that you showed the difficult part, and let the viewers create their own ideas!

    Do you think it would be posable to soundproof a room doing this?

    So, can I keep adding more layer to make the material as thick as I like? I saw a lot of crafter when using melted plastic bags, they usually do like 4-5 layers.
    I want the material to be a bit thicker (~ 8 layers) but I'm afriad that the layers under would peel off if I iron 8 layers all at once.

      I think Ive seen 8 layers on another channel. 🤔worth trying

      I saw someone do 4 layers at a time and then fused two of the sheets together at a time. And then he kept going until he got the thickness he wanted. I think he said he did 30 or 50 sheets...

    Also, why not say why you should wear the "mask" ...fumes??? I was looking for a demo on making something out of it.

      To make a sturdy water-proof fabric out of free, polluting plastic bag trash that is wrecking our environment. Experiment and see what cool ideas you come up with. She makes a box in the next video but personally Id love to see someone make colorful tents for the homeless or for sale!!!!

      I saw someone make very nice zipped bags for make up and stuff. Clean well & waterproof.

    Also, you didn't make anything! You gave suggestions on what you can use fused plastic bags for in crafting, but you never demonstrated it. It just looks like you were playing with an iron. Why are you wearing a mask? It's not toxic to fuse plastic bags. Are you in China?

    • @jadeswrapsandbraids
      @jadeswrapsandbraids 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      RobinRMontgomery it is toxic to fuse the bags. That is why many say to only fuse in a well ventilated area

      Except it IS toxic. Relax you came at her so heavy. Lmao it’s going to be ok. She’s showing you the material it’s up to you and your imagination to see how you can use it.

    I'm guessing you don't speak the language of your viewers, or are mute. If not, it's probably better to either speak in your video, and tell us what, why, how you are doing this.... or dub it with music. Otherwise this "relaxing" video is boring.

      What part of the english word "Quiet" do you not understand?

    • @RobinRMontgomery
      @RobinRMontgomery 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Quiet: low sound or no sound. All I hear is rustling of plastic. No talking, no music. Boring! you didn't do anything EXCEPT make noise! No quiet here! A QUIET video that is RELAXING would be you ACTUALLY doing something productive, with soft music in the background and not rustling of plastic and thuds of the iron. BORING BORING BORING! I guess if you meant to put people to sleep, you succeeded at that.... OUT OF BOREDOM!

      Wow, so obnoxious and so angry for so little said over plastic sheets. In all caps on top of that. You must be an amazing person in real life.

    • @RobinRMontgomery
      @RobinRMontgomery 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      LOL! Not in all caps. Only specific words that I used all caps for for emphasis. So, you don't understand, "relaxing" or "quiet", and now after I give you constructive criticism on how non-relaxing your pointless video is, you call me obnoxious. Also, they are plastic bags; not sheets. You may have cut them into what you think are "sheets", but cutting them and ironing them, a sheet they do not make. I am an amazing person. So are you. We all are. I value everybody. Maybe, as I do in myself, you should accept criticism at face value, instead of getting upset and "telling off" the commenting critic? And to defend my criticism, I will clarify what I meant by non-relaxing: have you ever had a cat that would pounce on those plastic bags in the middle of the night while trying to sleep? Annoying weren't they?

      @@mongreleater I don't thinks SHE understand relaxing or quiet. My goodness, talk about uptight. Look out for Robin the video police woman.
