Little more info for anyone that has a no start issue like this! If you have this code on your BMW it could also be caused by a faulty key, faulty antenna on the ignition switch, or even a bad immobilizer or shorted wire. Luckily this one was something simple! Sam thing happened on our 2002 X5 wife put in Walmart bedazzles ignition ring thing and no crank no start....removed it like your video said and started bad boy up THABKS GREAT VID MAN YOU SAVES US TIME AND MONEY

The Matco scanner is made by Launch, this is the matco version of the Launch X431 I believe. I also have a Snap On Verus but usually the Launch works better with european stuff. If you are a DIY I recommend getting AutoEnginuity or something similar only getting the software you need for your car. If you work for a shop then save snd invest in a decent scanner that has software for all makes. Thanks for the kind words and hope you found this helpful 👍

I like the matco scanners over the snap on for sure especially with the price difference and I am looking into getting a new scanner as well when I open my new shop in a few months but thanks for the info. @@billyingram5394 Yes, one of the nice things I got with this scanner was the OBD adapter kit so I have the BMW 20 pin and a bunch of other older adapters I can use to hook up and communicate with older vehicles. The Matco scanner has been great for me as a scanner, but if you are interested in getting a scope do NOT get the one they sell to use with this. The software is garbage and is a pain to set up and use and sucks donkey dick =P I got the Verus because having both options is useful sometimes and the scope on the verus works great.

The Snap on is a little faster than this one but I actually like the Scanner software better on the matco, it takes getting used to but setting up custom data PID's is fast and easy. Also talks to more modules usually than the snap on one does for example sometimes my Matco will talk to an instrument cluster that the snap on one cant see. Always good to have options which is why I have both.
Me too! Going to put out an update vlog probably(I very rarely do vlogs) to let ppl know whats been going on and what the plans are but I am getting the ball rolling again!
I have A06X5E53 and has had some intermittent issues no crank no start 1st and I found out I believe it was a mobilizer I learned to trick it by locking the vehicle was in it a couple times yeah get out use the key to lock it unlock it with the key in the door do that a couple times get in it would start sometimes not and I just go through the sequence again that's when I just kind of figured out last time I went to get in and this is what happens nothing happens won't start if I do my thing I just said drove to the store shut it off and turn it on 1st on the way out of my back yard got to the star turned it off try to turn it right back on just turned over put it in the Ignition in it I've had the back seat up but I can hear the field pump working I haven't tried spraying starter fluid in on my own yet to see if it turns over but I Wonder if it's the mobilizer and if it how do I disable it or bypass it so I can see if that's it so I don't spend any more money on things I don't believe the Ignition was bad at all I just assumed it was cause I watched too many videos I appreciate any help you can here so I'm getting a little low on money I'm dealing with cancer and don't have a lot of funds thank you very much
Im sorry that sounds like an issue I would need to diagnose in person, anything I say here would be speculation or guessing and that is more likely to waste your time and money than not. I would honestly recommend paying a reputable shop to diagnose the issue properly. People try and skip this step to save money and I have seen so many cans of worms get opened up from trying to throw parts at an issue without thorough testing
Hi how are you I was wondering if you could help me out my x5 is not starting however if I were to put gas in the engine it starts cause I figured out there was something wrong with the pump relay fuse however I don't know were it's located and I don't think the gas is reaching to the engine to make it start if you know the problem can you please help ?? Thanks
I would have to read through the wiring diagrams and fuse box diagrams, sounds like you need help from someone local to you that can actually get their hands on it. Good luck!
Actually still runs and drives well, had about 130k-ish miles on it. Some small leaks from a bunch of spots but nothing dripping on the ground so we sent them on their way.
Dont have an X5 sitting around to test with I cant help you too much, but you have a very different issue with no scanner power up. Keep it simple, check powers and grounds first and go from there.
Well it started one day last year I think it's my keys tho I'm going too try that it starts like after 30 mins I've noticed too that if I don't lock the door It will start right up as if the key is fucced but yet the car seems too stay in I've set in it and locked the doors and the car makes all kind of noise from hearing the cd player in the glove box too I'd close the door and gear the amp in the trunk still on

I got the Verus because having both options is useful sometimes and the scope on the verus works great.

'05 X5 - tried 4 different scanners, none power up, F5 and F15 fuses OK, any suggestions?

Having the same problem in my 05 645ci the car will start and drive but at times I'm stuck for 30 mins then starts what could that be
Could be many different things. Could be a bad starter or even down to bad solder joints on the DME board.

Fuel pump wire issue, fixed it quick and started right up. Had to figure out the cranking/immobilizer situation first obviously.
