That said, I dated a lot of Filipinas around USAF and Army bases growing up. They are world class liars. I dated one girl for months, best sex of my life. About 20 years ago I met an attorney who was also an addict. She love bombed me, but then turned to another guy for sugar. Still for a few days I was smitten. The trick is not so much to avoid the trap, the skill is learning to cut your own leg off to get out of the trap. She died in early 2021 and I miss the hours I spent with her. I think of it as enjoying a work of art in a museum. It may not care for me, but I still may be moved by it (or her).

They will outright ignore most questions. They most often make false accusations against you just to change the subject of your questions. Everything about Filipinas are red flags. Go to any other SE Asian country or Latin American country and you can do better than chronic poverty, chronic lying, and chronic government corruption.

In the Filipinas case, your income upends the local hypergamy scale. Most of them, if the incomes were equivalent, would prefer to be with a Filipino man around her age. You represent security in a society that has no social safety net. Your airfare alone is some Filipinos annual income. I also think much of the charm is fake.

I think that's true of East Asian women in general. I lived in Korea for many years, had three women love me there, at different times, of course. You can date multiple Filipinas at the same time. I dat 6 myself , we usually hang at my house. Sometimes we have lunch or dinner . One I took to Thailand for 2 months. Most get along well with each other. Not all at once but separately.

Whether it's a Philippina or Thailand woman, they tend to be quite jealous, and it requires a man to push back and to establish boundaries very early on, to make her aware of the fact that I don't do jealousy, and if you're going to do jealousy around me this is not going to work. Time is your ally, not hers. So she will push the timetable, and you need to push back. Take your time. If it is good, it will only get better, if there are issues, it takes time to see them and for them to play out. So she needs to adapt or move on. Tell her, look, I don't really need you, I like being around you, if things work great, but if you make this difficult for me I'm going to move on. They need to see, hear and feel that kind of pushback early on. You are able to determine whether or not this is a woman who is worthy of your time, and whether or not this is a woman who is capable of being the kind of person that you want to be with. If not, move on. It's really that simple. They usually want to push the timetable, and you have to be able to say no. From my many years of experience, with Thai women, and friends who have asked for advice, and whom I have witnessed, most relationships have a "witching hour". A time that they start demanding more. A house, a car, a condo, or something quite expensive. This is very common. If you are not going to build my family a house, at least give me some gold. Or this, or that. 2 years, or longer, is a fairly long amount of time, and usually sufficient to find out who she really is, what she is made of, what her parents and siblings are like, etc. If she starts pushing after just a few months, push back, and if she keeps on it, let her go!

Cebu is nice but crowded. I live 1 hr south. Good food, Great Malls a lot of ladies cost of living is more there. The traffic is bad. Their are a lot of expats there. I go there just to find things I can’t in Carcar Cebu. Hospitals are good there. If you have any questions I don’t mind u asking me. I live on $1500 a month but not as much as $ 2000. I think it would be hard to do that in Cebu

As a 26 year old foreigner living and working a corporate role in Manila I can assure you that you are wrong. This may be true for older, out of shape men, who go to poorer areas in hope of finding younger women easily like yourself, who can only really offer financial support. But if you date your own age, are relatively attractive and are dating girls who are making their own money (corporate job not bar girl) then the dating experience is not that dissimilar to the West. Why do you think you never see a Filipina lawyer living in BGC in her own apartment with an old out of shape foreigner? Because they have the option to date out of genuine interest. The issue is you aim for girls who are far younger and more attractive than you are. Date a 50 year old Filipina and revisit your rules.

Expat here in Angeles, met and living with my gf the last 10 years here. I met the parents once in 10 years around year 6… I set the ground rules and it works or rinse and repeat.
I think there is another angle to look at this behavior from. Women are hypergamous by nature, so the girl may be going 0-60 with a foreigner because she's already identified you as a catch, whereas the filipino guy hasn't qualified himself as a standout just by being there, and there are plenty of them to go around. You're saying it's game, but the game is the girl is trying to secure the highest quality catch she can, and she doesn't want to risk loosing the catch she really wants by wasting time. Whereas on the other side of the fence, she feels she has the time to feel it out, and she probably feels like she needs to inspect the deal more before jumping on it, as the filipino guy probably isn't doing any better than she is.
About the same time for me married 14 years. But, my relationship didn’t happen on a whim like his list stated, accept for #4, which happens in all countries. We dated for 3 years, before we were engaged. Married in the USA, retired to the Philippines, built a 5bedrooms, 5bath, 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, 3 stories high with a loft on top. Her father & brother live with us. Financially Stable & we support the community throughout the years 💞

In the Filipinas case, your income upends the local hypergamy scale. Most of them, if the incomes were equivalent, would prefer to be with a Filipino man around her age. You represent security in a society that has no social safety net. Your airfare alone is some Filipinos annual income. I also think much of the charm is fake.

I always try to get any information about the places I travel like I did while in The Military before I put boots on the ground.
Whether it's a Philippina or Thailand woman, they tend to be quite jealous, and it requires a man to push back and to establish boundaries very early on, to make her aware of the fact that I don't do jealousy, and if you're going to do jealousy around me this is not going to work. Time is your ally, not hers. So she will push the timetable, and you need to push back. Take your time. If it is good, it will only get better, if there are issues, it takes time to see them and for them to play out.
So she needs to adapt or move on. Tell her, look, I don't really need you, I like being around you, if things work great, but if you make this difficult for me I'm going to move on. They need to see, hear and feel that kind of pushback early on. You are able to determine whether or not this is a woman who is worthy of your time, and whether or not this is a woman who is capable of being the kind of person that you want to be with. If not, move on. It's really that simple.
They usually want to push the timetable, and you have to be able to say no. From my many years of experience, with Thai women, and friends who have asked for advice, and whom I have witnessed, most relationships have a "witching hour". A time that they start demanding more. A house, a car, a condo, or something quite expensive. This is very common. If you are not going to build my family a house, at least give me some gold. Or this, or that. 2 years, or longer, is a fairly long amount of time, and usually sufficient to find out who she really is, what she is made of, what her parents and siblings are like, etc. If she starts pushing after just a few months, push back, and if she keeps on it, let her go!

I go there just to find things I can’t in Carcar Cebu. Hospitals are good there. If you have any questions I don’t mind u asking me. I live on $1500 a month but not as much as $ 2000. I think it would be hard to do that in Cebu

As a 26 year old foreigner living and working a corporate role in Manila I can assure you that you are wrong. This may be true for older, out of shape men, who go to poorer areas in hope of finding younger women easily like yourself, who can only really offer financial support. But if you date your own age, are relatively attractive and are dating girls who are making their own money (corporate job not bar girl) then the dating experience is not that dissimilar to the West. Why do you think you never see a Filipina lawyer living in BGC in her own apartment with an old out of shape foreigner? Because they have the option to date out of genuine interest. The issue is you aim for girls who are far younger and more attractive than you are. Date a 50 year old Filipina and revisit your rules.

I think there is another angle to look at this behavior from. Women are hypergamous by nature, so the girl may be going 0-60 with a foreigner because she's already identified you as a catch, whereas the filipino guy hasn't qualified himself as a standout just by being there, and there are plenty of them to go around. You're saying it's game, but the game is the girl is trying to secure the highest quality catch she can, and she doesn't want to risk loosing the catch she really wants by wasting time. Whereas on the other side of the fence, she feels she has the time to feel it out, and she probably feels like she needs to inspect the deal more before jumping on it, as the filipino guy probably isn't doing any better than she is.

About the same time for me married 14 years. But, my relationship didn’t happen on a whim like his list stated, accept for #4, which happens in all countries. We dated for 3 years, before we were engaged. Married in the USA, retired to the Philippines, built a 5bedrooms, 5bath, 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, 3 stories high with a loft on top. Her father & brother live with us. Financially Stable & we support the community throughout the years 💞

we married here in PI. i built our house in 2015 and retired 2017, its only 2 bedrooms upstairs with a big terrace facing the ocean and a living room, bath and kitchen downstairs plus small tool room. its on what was my wifes great grandmas small lot so we had to make use of the footprint best we could, its 20 feet from the ocean. i worked my butt off building it, its very strong, may be the strongest small structure in the philippines !
