There is a part of my left leg that due to medical conditions has lost feeling. I would be most put out if somebody stabbed that part of my leg and tried to justify it with "stop overreacting, you didn't even feel it anyway."
I lost feeling on the left sife of my neck due to cancer, if someone stabbed me there I'd die on the spot "without feeling any pain". We're senseless buddies now.
I for a long time had no feeling in my left index finger after a hand operation (weirdly, 10 years later it has slowly returned). I still get real bummed if I hurt that finger, even if I use my middle finger much more than my index
Worst thing about people who say the whole “oh here come the fish police” is that you cannot win an argument against them, they will always believe that you’re just overreacting regardless how much evidence you throw at them
I've tried to find a youtuber brave enough and educated enough to respond to Catch Em All's repeated offenses. When I was younger, he was one of the first fish-related youtubers I watched. I very quickly realized there was a problem developing in his content and stopped watching. Since then, I've tried to bring awareness to his content and misinformation whenever possible, but didn't have the platform to get the information out there. Thank you so much for making this video, Zak. It means so much to me that you care as well. Putting up with his videos to bring this information together for you was worth every migraine it caused. And to anyone who might try to come after AVNJ for making this video, how about you come at me, instead? Come on, right here under this comment, buddy. I've got plenty of time to talk.
I have a similar problem with a yter called "Cougar Macdowalla" except he makes EXTREMELY sexualised animations for CHILDREN. He used to have good content, made one slightly sexualised video and his content went downhill. Its sickening Edit:thank you for the support, somebody needs to call him out,VIVA LA REVOLUTION!
I am so glad you are talking about this! So many fish and pet TH-camrs do some outright horrible things. My biggest gripe with them is how every video is either “new tank!” Or “new fish” and we never really see the previous tank or fish ever again in future videos. Just seems like they are collecting them for fun
thats why i love insectube, you grow attached to all the little critters and get to watch them grow and go, its heartwarming. But when i serch for aquarium animals its does feel like they treat them as collectibles, as demonstrated by the guys channel name
This is a huge problem with the reptiles community as well. A lot of people treat snakes in particular as collectibles, only caring about what pattern and colour they have, and setting them up in huge rack systems with a tiny tub for each snake just so they can hoard as many animals as possible.
@@rokukou it's kind of the same across all of pettube but the exotics get the worst end typically. BTW not saying its all bad cause there are some good channels but some need to be deleted like the reptile channel, gives reptile owners a bad name and also does unnecessary live feedings for the sake of veiws and its horrendous that TH-cam hasn't deleted that channel. I know I mentioned the channel but please don't look at it because it is heartbreaking stuff especially if you love rodents.
People would literally do the most batshit thing with their "pets" to make themselves look "cool" and "edgy" to their audience. The animal is nothing but a toy or an object to compensate the owners shortcomings at that point and I wish youtube had more strict policies against this. Too many younger people these days are starting to think this shit is ok and it's gross as hell.
It’s the axolotl one that is most wild to me, because at first I thought he was obviously just doing it to make a bunch of money, and I’m sure that’s still a big part, but when your hurting a protected species that has fines larger than the amount of views you make on the video, it make me think he must either enjoy hurting these creatures, or he genuinely thinks he’s helping them.
And he wasn't even the one that was gonna do it! He had his girlfriend doing it instead like that is a common thing people do to axolotls. I can't believe that everyone watching him is wholly enjoying what he posts and takes every word as fact. If so then that's beyond sad, but either way, it's gotta stop
@@SilverMusicAndGaming Wait, are you unironically saying captive/tame animals should be subject to abuse but not wild ones, because that's the only reason I can think of you are making this ridiculous distinction.
@swankierSpy2658 and the you tube animal keepers should have to be inspected randomly several times a year. I know the exotic keepers are supposed to be inspected but in referring to the non exotic "hobby" keepers.
Honestly I think it’s reasonable to assume that anything that’s alive can feel pain. Probably not in the same way that we do, but I still believe that even plants can feel some kind of pain.
Yeah most of the time women are told we're being overdramatic/hysterical if we say we're in pain. This is especially true of young girls and women. According to some folks there's no way periods and childbirth can be *that* bad. The worst ones are who are also women and simply because they themselves had an easier time of it then they can dismiss any other woman/girl's pain as just an overactive imagination/attention-seeking behavior. Some even believe that since they themselves had to suffer then every other woman/girl has to as well. It's sick
@@dyvfsdgdrgkhgderx9282 for sure, even grass release chemicals to warn others when they get damaged, this is why you can smell freshly mowed lawn. Any organism that could react to bodily harm and actively avoid or prevent it can feel pain. The problem is, where do we draw the line?
I probably pointed this out already, but in several of his videos with Spotted Eagle Rays, he goes out of his way to debarb them which is STRICTLY forbidden as they’re a protected species in Florida, where we reside. He even shows kids in one video how to do it and lets them keep the barb. Insane
@@alexanderendrizzi462 well yeah, though it really depends on the statue of limitations, but you can probably get him on something else like promoting dangerous acts or animal abuse
That is horrible. Stingrays are very emotional and sensitive animals and I cannot even imagine the pain, both physical and mental, that animal would have gone through having its prime defensive mechanism ripped from its body, so absolutely horrible.
I've never understood the "fish don't feel pain" argument. Specifically the "they don't feel pain they're just programmed to act like they do". Doesn't make any sense to me. Why *wouldn't* they feel pain? Its a hugely important biological function
@@bittyb0t i don't think you can make that statement with certainty, you are thinking in human terms, you don't how "pain" feels for them. That said, not being certain how they feel does not justify actions like this.
@@muneerkayali2240 that’s my point, we don’t know. so it’s better to act like they do feel it than to pretend they don’t and hurt them. i do think it will be uncomfortable or unpleasant either way, and thus should be avoided as much as possible. their pain shouldn’t be treated less than ours.
@@bittyb0t I don't think most people, especially people who fish, let them suffer on purpose even if they believe they don't feel pain or they don't feel pain similar to mammals. Like I've been taught to kill a fish pretty much instantly if I catch one while fishing and plan to take it home. Either by snapping the neck if it's smaller or hitting it on the top of the head so it becomes paralyzed and braindead for a lack of a better term. Then there's also situations where a hook gets stuck in the gills or some other place where it can't be taken out without the fish dying, so you just kill it quickly and take the hook our after. And I am under the belief fish and their nervous system isn't exactly like that of mammals and their feeling or lack thereof of pain might not be similar or on the same level to that of mammals. Despite this, I've never disregarded fish or thought they should be left out to slowly die or something because they don't feel pain.
Person A: *tortures and kills innocent animals for views TH-cam: “I’ll let that slide” Person B: *Says bad word or plays a sound which slightly resembles a real song TH-cam: “That is AGAINST THE LAW! We will suspend your account!!!”
@@CaptainPikachu. They dont care unless the audience cares. Many "people"(i dont want to call them humans) dont think of animals as living beings and also dont care if they suffer or not, religion plays a big role in this but also the way how people grow up, if you grew up thinking of animals just as "food", than you have no difference from an animal like a wild bear or lion, but youre just more powerful which drives animals to extinction and also more suffering.
The axolotl one is the craziest to me. He is keeping an endangered species, keeping them wrong and stunting their growth, and then coating them in toxic substances and slowly sawing their legs off. That goes beyond misunderstanding of how swim bladders work, or not knowing what cancer is. That’s straight up torture. And on top of that, he then kills them by feeding them to catfish and promises to eat one himself.
So ... bettas forced to fight each other, axolotl torture, violating and then ruining a fish’s ability to live and a crap ton of other things? Is this man okay? Imagine “”owning and caring”” about fish but not knowing anything about fish or animals in general
Yikes...I used to watch Zak Catchem but unfollowed a little over 2 years ago when I started seeing shady behavior. If this kind of shit isn't against TOS, it should be.
Honestly it's insane his channel is still up. TH-cam has removed videos for "bullying" or "promoting bullying", when they are just meme reaction videos. This one channel I watch even had their channel "accidentally" deleted off the platform, which took them a while to fix. The point here is, TH-cam goes after the wrong people and the fact that those abuse videos are still up is crazy. Destroying the livelihood of a reaction channel is fine but actually taking down videos of animal abuse is too difficult. Swearing is frowned upon by TH-cam but torturing animals is fine. I really dont understand them.
The only reason it isn’t against TOS is because he’s not abusing a dog or a cat. Sadly, most people just don’t give a shit when animals like fish, insects, birds, and reptiles are abused.
As someone who fishes and cooks what i catch, when i was younger i would almost always keep the bigger ones. once i realized that was a bad thing, immediately i decided to only keep 1 of the big ones, and let the others go. id go for the medium sized fish as a means of food for a fishfry but i felt absolutely horrible just filleting a sunfish while it's still flopping around. so i learned about the spike trick and so i found an old precision screwdriver that i didnt need, and i grinded it to a point on the concrete, wiped it down, made sure no rust was on it, and it has been an addition to my tacklebox. I think it's called hari kari if i recall. correct me if i am wrong. The thinking is that if i can dispatch the fish before i harvest, it wont feel pain. May seem silly to some but since we are unsure about them feeling pain, better safe than sorry! For those who dont know, if you keep the big ones, the genes of the larger fish get fewer while the medium sized ones stay dominant. you want to promote a healthier stock of fish at your local lake so you can take large ones, but limit yourself. I started fishing when i was 12, but now that i am 26, i am focused solely on the betterment of the native species that i harvest and the support of the ecosystem that i live/reside in. that includes plants/fungi. harvest ethically and take only what you think is enough. i.e. you find a whole field of Morel mushrooms and you only pick a quarter of the field. (fun fact: the mushrooms are just the fruit of the fungi network underneath. it's like a flower!). Harvest ethically and legally friends!
Love this! Makes perfect sense - thanks for taking the time to explain. People (& things, like trawlers & those huge purse nets, that take EVERYthing in their path...entire schools, etc...) that believe if 'more is good, ALL is better' annoy the piss out of me, but I tend to be reactive....your proactive approach is loads better than some random lady curse-screaming at someone after the fact! Lol, it's not generally that bad, but has been once or twice maybe...🤭✌🏼💜😉thx again 4 the message!
I remember this guy. You should see how much damage he does to the ecosystem in south Florida. TONS of videos making "ponds" full of feeder goldfish or other exotic aquarium fish with "slides" that send the fish directly into a city reservoir pond in his subdivision. He's the equivalent of Brian Barzyc (or however you spell his last name) with reptiles where blatant animal cruelty is displayed as "proper care/helping" . Its amazing how TH-cam will permaban you for having 2 seconds of a licensed song playing on the other side of your house, but actively rewarding animal abusers with top results in the algorithm.
As if there aren't enough people getting and releasing invasive (or exotic) species already... We really don't need someone with a significant following doing and essentially promoting it.
People get strangely defensive when they’re told that some animal video they liked is actually quite harmful. I think everyone ought to have a healthy degree of skepticism when it comes to animals online. I’m glad that people like you are speaking up about the abuse that goes on relatively unchallenged, especially with animals as overlooked as fish.
Usually these pet tubers have a lot of fanatics. Once they cross the line between fan and fanatic all common sense and healthy skepticism goes out the window.

The axolotl bit is so infuriating, especially because he acknowledges how fascinating they are in their abilities to regenerate and stay “forever young”, when thats actually the reason scientists have been fighting to protect them so fiercely, because they are incredibly valuable and there is so much we dont know about them that could help the development of medicine in general, its just another reason why we need to protect them and make sure they stay as resilient as they’ve been for centuries. I always find it even more concerning when folks use the "fish don't feel pain" line. At that point, you're *actively acknowledging* that what you're doing to the animal would normally cause it pain, but saying that its ok because fish "can't feel it." So the only thing that's kept those folks from abusing other animals is their reasoning that those animals can feel pain? Idk it's just weird logic to me
Yep, it is twisted af. Boil lobster alive is ok because they don't feel pain bro! Jfc just kill them first ffs. Also doesn't help that so many I mean SO MANY people keep saying "It's just a fish" when looking at fish abuse such as keeping a goldfish in a jar.
And fish absolutely feel pain. It's been proven over and over, but many anglers don't want to acknowledge facts. Edit: I should mention that I don't demonize anglers, just as little as any other hunter, but imagine hunters spreading misinformation like "Deer don't feel pain, so hurting them is OK."
@@kaikart123 though true. There is a reason why they're boiled. I don't fully remember the reason, I'd have to find that but to what I understand there's a reason for it that relates to quickness of death.

What upsets me is, TH-cam pushes this dude's channel onto anyone who looks up anything pertaining to animals. I remember first watching an episode of FTR and immediately having my recommendations spammed with Catch Em All's content, the first being the betta video he did. So not only is he spreading misinformation, but the algorithm itself is assisting him with gaining a large audience of naïve people who aren't aware he is performing blatant animal abuse.
If you look into comments of videos you can witness for yourself the real quality of its content through the consensus of opinions, as well as the general ignorance of our entire society all at the same time.....
The same shit happens with monkey related videos. There is 1 channel that posts some good monkey related content, outside of that the rest are all abusing animals or this one sick POS that sticks his kid next to a monkey and films the monkey attacking his kid. YT does not care, they get clicks and thats all they care about.

In one of his iguana videos he took an iguana that was so cold it had fallen out of a tree and threw it in a sink to quickly "warm it up" with warm water. It predictably had a violent seizure and him and his buddy are laughing about it.... He doesn't just abuse fish. Hunting invasive iguanas I have no problem with, as long as there is at least the effort to make a quick and clean kill. This was flat out abuse and he knew it. Shit this is worse than i thought. I eat meat and am a hunter but i think people who cause unnessacary pain to animals and make them suffer are sick bastards. Doing it for views is just low and scummy, to try to claim your helping the animals by doing this is even worse, he clearly knows what he's doing. I was 8 when i got him, i'm 27 now, he's 26 and he's been living a lovely happy life with me ever since) and i have a colorado river toad. I love all my animals to bits and i would never hurt them, if anyone ever did i would beat the shit out of them, i'm 6' 4" and 200lbs so i would whoop the living shit out of anyone i see abuse animals, i once beat up someone pretty good cos i saw him kicking a hedgehog like a football and took the hedehog to a animal rescue afterwards. The people at the rescue were disgusted that someone would do that to it and laughed when i told them i beat him up and threw him down a hill into a bush. The hedehog had a broken leg and a broken rib but recovered. It stayed in captivity though as it had a limp, i called up to see if it was okay a few weeks later and visited it a couple months later, it had its little leg bandaged up, it looked cute like that but it made me rage that someone would abuse innocent vunerable wildlife. I remember seeing this channel years ago. I didn’t think much of it back then but I recall this one vid where he just feeds his PET crayfish or something to a pufferfish. He claimed he didn’t expect that to happen so he clearly didn’t do any research at all.
I hate the "its okay to hurt fish terribly because they can't process pain like we do" argument. Such sociopath behavior. A quadriplegic can't feel their arms or legs, does that mean its okay to maim their limbs because they too can't feel it? No? Then what about maiming any other creature in a similar fashion makes it okay just because you think this creature somehow evolved over billions of years is too ridiculously stupid to even process when its body is in harm's way? I wish more studies went into fish social behaviors to see how complex aquatic life actually is. I swear 99% of fish research boils down to "can humans eat it y/n, if y, in what manner" rather than like. actually learning the creature
The whole "fish can´t feel pain" argument is a total nonsense. No organism develops something as complex as nerves and brain to...not use it. Ability to feel pain has nothing to do with intelligence in the sense how humans perceive intelligence.

Or more for me, thinking about FGM since I’m a woman. I aint even a fish and I’m feeling that level of empathy.
even smaller fish like Bettas very, very clearly do feel pain. Mine hit his face on a rock while chasing a little worm and some of his scales tore off... and he spent a few days refusing to leave a hiding place. Once I got a little bit of fish medicine that reduces discomfort after injuries into the tank, he started to come greet me again and start playing again after a few hours. If its alive, treat it like everything you do to or with it matters. If its meant for eating, give it a life free of pain and suffering and make the end as quick and painless as you can. If its meant to be a pet, treat it with love and kindness and give it the best life you can... which includes researching its welfare using reputable sources.

a channel run by a psych*path that not only mistreats the reptiles but also their food in cruel and unusual ways. glad they dont post anymore but man they did some disgusting and horrid stuff
I've always thought the same about this guy but haven't been brave enough to call him out on youtube. I'm glad you have and appreciate the video and the awareness.
Nice to see you here, I love your videos! Anyways I absolutely agree, these sort of people sicken me and it baffles me how TH-cam blatantly lets these clowns get away with this shit on their platform
THANK YOU FOR SPEAKING OUT ABOUT THIS!! This dude has been getting away with this shit for too long, it absolutely disgusts me how this guy has millions of subscribers when he has a history of complete disregard for animal & human lives around him. The fact this guy clearly feels good about hurting animals is so sickening to me.. --- He has many videos of trespassing onto people’s property to fish in their ponds, lakes, etc and gets very cocky about it as if he’s in the right to do so. He doesn’t even have enough affection for his “pet” fish, specifically his largemouth bass named Shamu. The original Shamu died years ago and he just keeps getting new bass and naming them Shamu. I used to watch this guy’s videos when I was younger but dipped once I saw he did that to his bass he said was his “favorite” and that he “loved”. --- Also his animal abuse gets WAY worse than what you’ve shown( although all the animal abuse is horrifying, I mean it in the sense that from the “can fish feel pain” uncertainty from other people, this treads onto animals that we have clearly proven to be able to feel pain ). I’m not sure if you’ve seen this already but this video is great insight to him being absolutely disgusting to reptiles( namely Pythons and Iguanas ): th-cam.com/video/Dgg1KkhT2hg/w-d-xo.html The Iguanas in particular he shoots with a dart gun, making them fall out of trees, and paralyzes them. In the video clip this TH-camr shows, he then throws the iguana in the sink and bombards it with scalding hot water and he watches it struggling desperately to move away from the hot water with a smile and even laughing a bit.
The thought of someone hurting pythons (or any animal for that matter) makes me really angry. I have a ball python and he’s the friendliest little noodle ever with the sweetest puppy face. breaks my heart
This guy should be arrested for animal cruelty. Anyone who thinks of getting views to watch him torture an animal is down right sick. I hate people like this. Thank you for sharing this video. Stay frosty!
There are a shit ton of youtubers that do this, putting animals in fights for there live in enclosures and unnecessary live feeding. TH-cam doesnt give one shit.
I remember watching this guy as a young child and I was always under the impression he was this great man helping these animals and doing something good. It's scary how easily I painted him as an idol. To be honest I've kinda forgotten about his existence until now, but it is just very concerning how easily this man made me think he was this great person...
You were a kid. It's much harder for kids to discern motives and spot a liar like this, it's a part of their trusting innocence that makes this especially revolting. It's not only abusing and exploiting animals, it's doing it while blatantly tricking children into becoming their fans, because those kids haven't reached the developmental awareness yet to question what they're seeing. Like the Paul brothers and many, many other youtubers. Not your fault, and he and his "friends" are well aware of what they're doing, as is youtube I'm sure. But they're making millions, so they're getting away with it.
Thanks for this, Zack. Your expertise on this subject is definitely appreciated. Report this channel and cite videos like this as evidence. These channels are disgusting and need to end.
I care for salamanders myself and the axolotl-part made me sick. Why would you harm those little guys? The breeder even insisted on a little aptitude test, wheter I am suitable to care for the pyrrhogasters or not. I am so sad, that there a people out there, who just have animals at home for their own gross entertainment.
I know violence is not the answer against violence, but I've seen so much bad stuff on this planet... How could I not wish for the same thing he did to the carp happen to him? I genuinely struggle to stay peaceful when I sometimes see literal crimes happen in front of my eyes
When he does it both unnecessary, intentionally and knowing the harm they cause (he got to be pretty stupid to not realize some of this is harmful), he does kind of DESERVE to have the same done to him. But doing it would just make people turn against the animal activists for being too extreme and violent, and we have a law system (that hopefully can deal with people like him). The focus should not be on revenge: actually helping, informing people and preventing it in the future, is far more important. However is someone/something is being abused right in front of you, I fully believe the right thing to do is stepping in to stop it and save the victim, using violence if one have to
It's hard, friend. It's definitely hard. You don't want to think that way, but know it's normal to have those thoughts. Don't listen to the scumbags and morons who replied that violence is the answer, it's not. As much as you wish it was, it's not. You're not going to be making things better if you go to where he lives and shoot him or stick a knife in his ass. You're just going to ruin your life. If you care, go find a way to help fish as then you're off setting what this scum bag is doing in your own way and in a way that isn't turning to the easy and chimpanzee choice of just "me hurt bad person" that we all want to choose. I am a lover of cats, they're my soul animals and I've seen a lot, a whole lot of bad things done to them. I've known people who hate them, treat them like rodents and wouldn't stop if they hit one with their car. I have seen even worse things that TH-camrs have done to cats than what this Catchem All guy has done to fish. So I volunteer at a shelter and help cats. It took me a long time to not want to fly to Thailand or Cambodia or wherever the Asian people were who I saw abusing cats by faking rescue scenarios for views on TH-cam and start ending people until I got the right ones. But I definitely know that choosing to help cats instead of cut one scum bag out of the world is a better choice. People like this Catchem All douche bag, they're everywhere. If you somehow did find and game end this guy, you'd be lucky to have made as much of a difference as you'll make helping fish. You're a lot more likely to do more good by helping fish, sincerely. You'll make more of an impact by promoting treating animals with care and respect. Promoting animal rights and by helping animals wherever you can. Not by hurting someone, but by working contrary to them.
What’s so sad and disgusting about it is axolotls are on the endangered list for this year and there’s people on TH-cam and tiktok that just use them for views :(
OK so I’m seeing a little bit of misinformation about axolotls and I kind of want to clear it up. So the axolotls that are endangered are the wild ones which are found in a very specific lake in Mexico. These wild axolotl‘s are protected by law and are a endangered species. The ones that you see people have online, those are domesticated axolotl‘s. These are not the same animals. Domesticated axolotl‘s are not endangered, in fact they are not even genetically the same as axolotls found in the wild. The laws that are meant to protect wild axolotls do not apply to domesticated ones because they are not endangered and are not even the same species. They don’t even look the same.
really, regardless of whether fish can feel pain in the traditional sense, it's hard to imagine they don't experience some kind of unpleasant neurological punishment to avoid harm being done to them, and at the end of the day what's the difference
I always knew there was something “fishy” about this guy from the beginning. I watched a video a while back where a fishing yter named apbassing exposed him for clickbait and animal abuse. I think that vid was since removed so I’m really happy that you’re stepping up to talk about this mess, because I think that it really should be talked about more in not just the fishing/aquarium community, but the general pet-keeper community. This is a really sick dude and I hope he gets taken down or something
Just because your limbs regrow doesn't mean cutting them off is painless. Goddamn Dragonball trusts the children watching it to grasp taht concept. It's not difficult.
In Florida, it’s illegal to take grass carp. In California, where I’m from, grass carp are considered property, most of them are sterile, and there’s huge fines for taking them.
I just stumbled upon your channel right now, and I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed this video! I love investigative youtube content, and especially when it deals with exposing people that harm animals or vulnerable individuals. If you have any other channels or a list of people we need to report please give us a google doc filled with the channels. So we can report the channels! We cannot allow these people to profit off of hurting these poor animals! If possible we should even report them to the authorities. I’m not really aware of laws regarding fish but I know there are laws for cats/dogs. Either way these people need to pay for what they have done!
I think you did a very good job on just being informative on the topic. I, personally, didn't hear any ill will in your speech, and think it was the right move to have an offline video in order to ensure just that. I don't know much about fish biology, and your videos aren't just a casual watching for myself but also give me that little dopamine rush of knowing I'm learning something XD. Look forward to future videos, and definitely do not be afraid to do more videos like this. Even if you feel that you might have been a bit too harsh (which you didn't) it is very informative to us as viewers! Love ya!
Same. Ive always found the ’jaw drop’ expression odd and makebelieve but when I saw the knife and heard what he did to that poor carp my jaw dropped as well. It may have been an invasive species but it should’ve been killed in a humane way not the slow torture this caused…
Thank you for talking about this guy, I love fishing and his videos were some of the first fishing vids I had watched.. but some of his fishing practices started to concern me and when he started the whole animal keeper persona I couldn’t stand anymore to watch his videos and unfollowed him. I’m surprised it took this long for someone to do an exposé on him
Thank you for spreading such important information. It's really dangerous when you especially realize that most people won't do further research on his so called "treatment" and realize for themselves how gross this is, and those same people might do the same exact thing to other fish out of sheer ignorance! Thank you for calling out such behavior!
Thank you for being an advocate for these fish. So many people don't see them as living things that deserve our kindness and respect. You're standing up for those who can't protect themselves and for those who the majority of the world does not value. I think you're an awesome person for that.
I remember being 10 and saying "fuck you" to someone online for the first time to him after he took a massive non-invasive carp out of a stream and put in a 30-gallon kiddie pool in his living room. I've grown up on the lake so seeing such blatant disrespect to a fish having a successful life was horrifying to me.
As someone who’s ignorant regarding fishes and their care, I find it amazing that you’re talking about this issue, even more since it’s a big TH-camr and thousands of people can get the wrong idea thinking they’re helping when in reality their fish is suffering. Aquatic pets are one of the most neglected and mistreated animals ever since they can’t make any sound. Hope your video and knowledge reaches a lot of people!! Edit: I’m so triggered by him just talking about cutting a limb of an axolotl (endangered species from MY country) like it’s totally normal and not torture. Yeah they grow their limbs back, doesn’t mean they don’t feel pain 🤬
Crayfish can grow claws back but that doesn't mean they don't feel it getting ripped off. Same with a lizard, just because they can regrow a tail doesn't mean it's ok to go pulling their tails off.
THANK. YOU. For bringing light to these situations! If I were to make a video like this, it's very much seen as "punching up", but it's so so so important to talk about these things. It's incredibly damaging to the legitimate people who love and care for their animals.
About the tick thing-- 100%. I had a tick bite me when I was 11 or 12. I had to go to the doctor for them to numb my leg and cut the tick out, and then I had to be treated for Lyme disease (and I still test positive for it even 7/8ish years later)
I literally froze at the part where the guy was telling the lady or girl to saw a limb of an endangered species off. I literally cupped my hand over my mouth and gasped. That is the most cruel thing I have ever heard from this guy ever as I pause it right there and type this. What kind of human thinks it’s okay to torture such a tiny little axolotl and saw a limb off like that. That’s awful. Poor little guy
Quite apart from some of the other stuff, the angling practices on this channel are also pretty deplorable. And on top of the bad angling practices, there is the theft of fish from private lakes, and the introduction of invasive species into waters where they were not previously present.
What an absolute disgrace of a human being. The things he does are pure psychotic! There is no way he is *that* oblivious to think that what he is doing is "helping" these animals.
Thank you for doing a video on this. I will never comprehend those type of people and it just sucks really bad that we have to live among people like that.
This is criminal. I’m a fisherman and generally understand the controversy regarding pain tolerance and inhumanity concerns. This guy should literally be put on a watch list for what he has done to animals. I’m no biologist, but it doesn’t take a genius to know you shouldn’t saw off legs of any animal without a solid understanding of the ramifications of do such a thing or PUNCTURING A SWIM BLADDER WITH A FILLET KNIFE?! What?? This man is a disgrace to fishermen world wide and should be imprisoned for these acts. Literally feeding this upcoming generation with unjust ideology and treatment of animals. Our world is already struggling to balance and sustain ecosystems as it is. If you catch it, eat it. If you fish for sport, release it and treat it properly. Don’t throw out your fishing line, don’t “forget” your stringer. This video literally infuriated me to no end. TH-cam will take down offensive videos of people spear fishing for FOOD (humans and fish are both part of the food chain) but they’ll keep pushing videos from someone with ZERO credentials that shoves a knife into a vital organ and let’s it go? Wooooooo ssssaaaaaahhhhh. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day! 🙂

I am so glad you are talking about this! So many fish and pet TH-camrs do some outright horrible things. My biggest gripe with them is how every video is either “new tank!” Or “new fish” and we never really see the previous tank or fish ever again in future videos. Just seems like they are collecting them for fun
There are more good than bad but the bad really do some terrible things.
thats why i love insectube, you grow attached to all the little critters and get to watch them grow and go, its heartwarming.
I know I mentioned the channel but please don't look at it because it is heartbreaking stuff especially if you love rodents.
People would literally do the most batshit thing with their "pets" to make themselves look "cool" and "edgy" to their audience.
Abuse of animals is against ToS, but as others have said, who cares about a fish?

I’m glad that people like you are speaking up about the abuse that goes on relatively unchallenged, especially with animals as overlooked as fish.

The Iguanas in particular he shoots with a dart gun, making them fall out of trees, and paralyzes them. But doing it would just make people turn against the animal activists for being too extreme and violent, and we have a law system (that hopefully can deal with people like him). The focus should not be on revenge: actually helping, informing people and preventing it in the future, is far more important. However is someone/something is being abused right in front of you, I fully believe the right thing to do is stepping in to stop it and save the victim, using violence if one have to
Violence is usually the answer to violence.
Nothing stops violence except violence.

What’s so sad and disgusting about it is axolotls are on the endangered list for this year and there’s people on TH-cam and tiktok that just use them for views :(
That´s absolutely right.
Thanks for informing me about that. I never knew that a TH-camr I used to watch did that. Gladly unsubscribing from them.
People believed that baby's didn't feel pain back then. Since they were wrong about that then more than likely fish feel pain
It's about time someone called out this guy's antics, I'm stunned of how successful he has been.
THANK GOD someone with a good following is speaking about this. All I could do was comment and then get made fun of.
Love ya!
So they turn off the dislike buttom, but they don't remove animal abuse. #ihateyoutube
I had a beta fish and knew what swim bladder disorders were. when you said that he popped the bladder with a knife, my jaw literally dropped.
Same. Ive always found the ’jaw drop’ expression odd and makebelieve but when I saw the knife and heard what he did to that poor carp my jaw dropped as well.
It may have been an invasive species but it should’ve been killed in a humane way not the slow torture this caused…
@@Pien-qo9kr I 100% agree.
Bro if grass can feel pain I’m pretty sure fish can feel pain. If it’s alive, it can sense when it’s being un-alived, and fish are no exception.
I’m so glad you brought him up. I’ve been waiting for justice to find this guy since I discovered him years ago
Thank you for being an advocate for these fish. So many people don't see them as living things that deserve our kindness and respect. You're standing up for those who can't protect themselves and for those who the majority of the world does not value. I think you're an awesome person for that.
-Thinks fish has damaged swim bladder.
-Sticks finger up anus.
-Destroys swim bladder.
-Leaves.
The level of idiocy there is other worldly
How is TH-cam not deleting his channel, this is disgusting.
Thank you for doing a video on this. I will never comprehend those type of people and it just sucks really bad that we have to live among people like that.
I fell in his trap a couple off years ago and liked it but now that I know way more about fish and how to take care off fish I’m disgusted
yikes so this guy has been doing this for years now
@@SharkUsingaComputer sadly he has
The fact that this is allowed on TH-cam but creators have been demonetized for swearing is mind blowing.
FINALLY SOMEBODY TALKS ABOUT THIS GUY! Everyone else is just so scared to say shit and I really don’t know why
