    Welcome to Ram trucks my Australian friends. We are a farming family up in North Idaho USA and own 5 rams. 2 are classics a 1969 Power Wagon and a 1971 Power Wagon. The other 3 are a 1999, 2013 and a 2019. They are very tough trucks and can get through all kinds of weather with ease. And towing! Wow we use our rams to tow loads normally reserved for larger trucks but they do it with ease. Hope you aussies get the 700 Horsepower Rebel TRX (yea 700HP!) my local dealer knows to get one for me when they go on sale.

      @@williamhussey1611 They go with the gas motor to make room for the sway bar disconnect, winch, and to keep the weight down. It still has a good amount of power and torque though. At times I have thought I may want a Cummins but my Hemi motor has towed everything I have hooked to it without much complaining including a 14000 lb. 5th wheel I hooked it up to.

Yes the cummins ( NOT CUMMINGS ) is tested and proven, and it's a known fact that mopar transmissions suck ass, on top of not even offering them in manual anymore. The truck itself is junk, I've owned 3 and still own 1. It's hard to find a land cruiser here in america, we dont have a cult following for them. Although they do exist and they do have a following, but the populace would rather have something big and tall and never sees a grain of dirt road ( note, sema... $100k truck that only sees mall parking ) I'd like to get my hands on a 79 series.

Nice vehicles but they would nvr be able to do the work that people here buy ram or ford diesels for. Not even a comparison. Loaded up, you will start to find that what the smaller toyota's struggle with, the dodge and ford will easily handle. The engines are just so much more powerful.

      What went wrong with the Ram? Why was the cost so much?

    • @UlyssesJurado
      @UlyssesJurado 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      In California, diesel is more expensive than gasoline. The 4wd Ram weighs almost 4 tons, so it eats tires, brakes, ball joints and wheel bearings very quickly. It takes 3 gallons of oil that needs to be changed frequently because of the EGR system recirculating unburnt diesel soot into the intake tract. Rear windows leak on brand new trucks, stiff wiring that’s brittle and cracks. Light years away from Toyota’s reliability. It pulls a lot of weight though and very safely
