    TT, Race, Road, Endurance, Allroad, Gravel, Monstergravel ... why not giving them a number of the max tire size; 25/28/32/35/40/45/50/55.

    Was intrigued, visited their website which is impossible to navigate using a smartphone.
    What a stupid way to lose customers

    But where can I actually *ride* one? Went into a Ribble store once and asked if I could take one for a test ride. Staff looked at me like I'd landed from Mars.

      Not just a ribble issue. Lots of ads for all makes of bikes, but try to find them in a shop. Not a chance.

    That SL model with 105 mech looks like a good deal. 2,000 pounds for the complete bike. Good bike for normal people / non racers / etc.

  • @lawrences1347
    @lawrences1347 20 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    Thought the SL would be a good winter bike but it only fits 32mm tyres with mud guards. It's not enough these days.

  • @brittle1
    @brittle1 21 วันที่ผ่านมา +7

    The Roubaix has 40mm clearance, fork suspension, and is lighter and cheaper 😏

      @petersouthernboy6327 20 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      You’d be lighter, faster, and more reliable with bigger tires on a “road” bike versus the Future Shock.

    • @timdixo
      @timdixo 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@petersouthernboy6327 Incorrect..with the Future Shock you can run thinner tyres for the same cush. Thus you get less rolling resistance,weight and aero compromise

    38mm tyres are the future, for crappy UK roads. I have my Slate on 42mm slicks and I am no slower than 30c Hutchinson Fusion5, and I would say faster downhill as you have a lot more confidence with the wider tyres.
    I believe the only high performance tyre available above 32mm is from Pirelli. Other than that you're into Gravelking slicks.

  • @ArteUltra1195

    Why stop at 38mm of clearance?
    All the main performance gravel tires are 40mm.

    Meanwhile back on the farm they left their commuter and single speed customers high and dry. Their sublime 725 single speed was sweet indeed, and I waited too long to get a replacement. Sodding Alu.

      Most people will be buying the 2,000 pound SL with 105 mech. or the 3,000 one with di2 and those carbon(?) mavic wheels

    Went into a ribble shop and asked about the geometry and would I'd work for me etc.they were so unhelpful and snooty I just walked out . Went into Evans and bought a nice gravel bike. Your loss D ribble 😢.
    These bike look dull. I thi k we have got to a point t where bike manufacturers are running out of ideas. Let's face it you don't upgrade your knives and forks. Leave it there it's getting boring
