I found Luke's Barbershop, now known as Maple Street Barbershop in this medium sized town smack in the center of Kansas.
Barber Luke gave me a perfect fade haircut, a sharp lined up beard, and even styled my hair slick -- to drag main on a Saturday night. Absolutely a quality barber, who has been perfecting his skills for 20 years.

I think this barber gave me a perfect haircut and beard trim. His haircut method was methodical and slow. I absolutely enjoyed the haircut sounds, and how slow he did it. I'm grateful 🙏.

I used to live in Salina, Kansas. It's about a 40 minute drive from McPherson up north. Moved away to Missouri 2yrs ago on Sunday. Love it away from Kansas, not much to do there, live in Kansas City now, LOTS to do. :) Hope you enjoyed my old neck of the woods though.

So true if you're cutting the grass & you do a very good job like me hehe you still need to use the grass trimmer to do the edges. And be careful trimming against the trees ! If your a bad gardener & you cut the bark of the tree around that can and will kill the tree. If you have a Gardener make sure your gardener Don't do that. I usually like to put mulch around the tree it looks good & you don't have the grass against the tree.🌴🌳🌲

Jason! If you’re down for a little bit of a drive from the McPherson area, you should get a cut by Bill at Bills barber shop in Alta Vista KS. He gave me my first haircut 37 years ago! Super nice guy that just so happens to look like he was plucked right out of the 1800s. I think your audience is would eat him up. Plus you get the gorgeous views of the flint hills and that little small town charm!

You can tell he is a true professional by taking his time, going over the eyebrows and the ears and make sure he gets those last couple wild hairs there in the end. I also love that air blowing machine. Most barbers just use the blow dryer but not this guy.

@@JasonRuppVlogthe beard shape up from like 18:50 - 22:23 or so, also anytime he combed your hair into style. but so many little great noises throughout. His electric clippers provide a nice buzzing noise. Also I agree, barbers who do neck hairs without asking are the best barbers.

Jason, I’ve watched and rewatched the video multiple times. Are you sure you didn’t cut the “wink” out when you were editing the clips and/or he might have done this when his face wasnt entirely in the frame as he thought it might have been facing him. There were a couple times when it appeared as though he could have winked but the frame split and another time his full face wasn’t in frame when he could have. Post me know 👍

Luke seems to be an excellent barber, based on my observation. But, Jason, do you really think that any of the barbers you visit feel at liberty to do what they want? You always tell them to do what they want, but that must be for dramatic effect--what will they do? I can't imagine that you don't visit them and set boundaries prior to filming. I'm pretty sure that Luke, given carte blanche, would have left that disconnected style for you. He would have blended the very long hair on top with the sides and back. Just my two cents. I enjoy your escapades, but there is a dramatic effect to them.
