OMG So I was just sitting here playing Zoo Tycoon 2 on my PC and I was thinking how cool it would be if they made a new one with more realistic graphics. I do remember seeing Zoo Tycoon advertised on the 360 the last time I was on it but that was a while ago, and I thought maybe it would just be the same type of thing as the PC version. But WOW I was wrong!! This game looks AMAZING. I mean, old news right, it's not like you just uploaded this... But still! This looks totally fun! If I were to get an Xbox One, I would get a Kinect JUST for this game. Because who doesn't want to make faces at chimps and feed the fuzzy-lipped giraffes from your hand!?
I got this for my xbox 360, for ease of recording, and its freaking awesome! Having a first person mode in a game in this is truly stellar! Sadly no Kinect for me though. :(.

When I’m older, I want to own a zoo. But, Treat them like nature. They don’t have any feeding times, they will feed themselves, unless we need to refill. And they bathe themselves when they want to. That’s how nature works, I don’t want to make them do stuff. They do what they want Edit: I forgot about this comment, and it feels like I made this with my 2 year old self.

I slept with the lights on for a few weeks (I think). It dominated my imagination for quite a while. The grammatical errors detract from it a little, but after a while, it barely matters.
by the main menu I was thinking "the graphics will look bad and I NEVER judge any games other then games like these by graphics" then when he starts playing I thought "the main menu lied to me in a good way!"
I'm kinda glad blue fang abandoned zoo tycoon,an then frontier did this one. They have really good experience with these types of games , I've played thrill vile on my ps2 from like around 2006 or 07 to when I got my 360 in 2010. I got to say I am picking this game up definitely when my Xbox one comes in!
kinda laughing about how excited you are and about how you think that its so cool. im a zookeeper irl and feeding giraffes oranges was the first thing that put me off a bit. they should at least teach you the right stuff about the animals. but fun to watch nevertheless from my point of view.
I agree when I play the game (btw I'm only a preteen) I don't like to feed the giraffes oranges because it almost seems unreal I usually feed them grass and the apple/mango.
fruit overall isnt right. and grass isnt the best either since its cellulose cells are too long stranded and lack protein. giraffes usually feed off of leaves from acacia trees. and the trees themselves react by producing a hormone which makes them taste bad so the giraffes keep on moving through the land to find new acacia trees. so leaves is generally the way to go
Why is there literally no safety for these exhibits? Animals or people could go right over the walls, EASILY. We really don't need any more little boys falling into animal exhibits!

This was kind of underwhelming looking. Besides the *gorgeous* animal models and scenery, this isn't even coming close to the original PC games. The originals let you customize everything, like a good theme park/zoo builder should do. I don't know if this will get better, I will continue watching this playthrough to see, but right now, I'm not sold on anything but the look of the game. It didn't even let him fully customize the exhibits and made him place items in set locations and that seems extremely limiting and boring to me.

That shouldn't be a problem. And there aren't even that many interesting species as you continue. Just looks like a huge waste of money.
xXNoOneImportantXx Wasted potential really. Imagine this game with all the features (and animal variety) of Zoo Tycoon 2, now that would be worth the money. Especially if it didn't have this limited "space" bullshit. But on the bright side at least it isn't as bad as Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 mobile game, thankfull Zoo Tycoon hasn't gone down that route yet.
They should give hate. Fans waited for a hell of a long time to get a new ZT game and not only did they get a console exclusive (which is ridiculous considering the first games were on PC) but they also got a game that plays nothing like the original beloved games.

Random comment, for those of you who love The Sims as much as me -- I could totally see something like this or at least wish for something like this to happen in a future The Sims 4 expansion pack or a store set to buy (after a Pets EP released) a new neighborhood with a huge zoo for your sims to explore, and feed animals. Maybe have a new profession as a zoo keeper or whatever...
Just played the Demo i think the critics where completely wrong here this game is actually great. Think i'll buy it. Only major problem is how long the loading screens are.
I've got an Xbox One and actually found out that you don't need to play this game with Kinect so lone and behold I go out and try finding it in my area and you know there isn't a copy around. .Nope, not anywhere in the town I live in and I tried calling places that were 20 minutes and even 30 minutes away from me and they had not one single copy. .so I ordered mine on line and alas I'm getting it hopefully from what the order status said today since I'm picking it up in store. I'm so shocked that even after 2013 this game is still so popular. xD I'm excited and hope to build my own zoo.
