Bro, thanks a lot for these videos man. I am always learning something new. I am going to have to get my filter replaced soon. Although, I have been aggressively getting fluid replacements for my transfer case. The dealership also said that there is no filter for the transfer case. Not sure if they even know or give a shit, but anyway thanks again for another great video man. Take care
So transfer case and trans are two different things. Trans has a filter, transfer case does not. Either way, they probably don’t know about the filter 😅
If your car is older get the AC charge checked. Even a charge that's not really low can cause poor AC performance.
And it would be nice if Honda would offer cloth seats for higher end trims. The fake leather is cold in the winter and just makes your back sweat in the summer.
That’s my daddy right there😍😍😍
🤣
Robots. Cant live with them. Cant live without them.
✅
Please do a video for the 10AT trans/rear diff on the new Pilot, Thanks!!!
It’s on my to do list for sure
I feel like having ceramic tints helped a lot with the A/C since it helps block UV rays from entering the cabin instead of riding a fishbowl lol.
💯 and I can vouch for the fishbowl being absolutely horrible 😂
Thank you for your help . Does the newer models of thej35 (2022-and above passport , ridgeline, even the turbo v6 and the new pilot ) need a VCM muzzler to disable the VCM ?
I wouldn’t install one but some do and like the difference it makes
Thoughts on drilled/slotted rotors reducing rotor warp?
Thoughts on oil catch cans?
Thanks for yet another helpful video. Question: how accurate do you find Honda/Acura's fuel economy displayed on the instrument cluster to be? I've generally seen it to be optimistic by 1-2 mpg across multiple Hondas and Acuras. (And I'm not talking about a single fill-up, I'm talking about actual measured fuel economy over an accumulated dozen fill-ups)
ACTUAL differences between the K20Z5 HR-V engine and the K20C2 Civic engine?? These two engines have the same specs and look pretty much identical. I would LOVE to know ALL the differences, if there are any. Thank you much!
I looked at the specs and couldn’t find any differences as well. Waiting to have two in from of me to see if anything is physically different.
My question this time is that tire inflator with that built in tire slime equipment on my 2017 Acura TLX . How long will those units stay good? Someone told me that they explode after being old. Is this true? Thanks Jersey brother 👍🏽
I’ll answer that in an upcoming video. 🙌
Same on my Honda, Odyssey 2021 Break myself Every day Driving
Scary stuff for sure
For the transmission fluid what is the difference between a total transmission fluid exchange, drain & refill and the CVT drain and refill only? And I have 23 accord touring so it has a ECVT when it hits 30,000 miles what service should I get 1st? Sorry if it’s a lot of questions at once I’ll wait for the next Q & A video 😂.
my crv needs a brake fluid flush. could i use a after market fluid or use honda oe fluid.
Anything dot 3
Thanks for addressing the MPG decline! What you said about the calipers sticking was interesting. I do know when I depress/ let off the brakes I get a squeaking noise, any thoughts?
Do you have drum brakes on the rear?
@@BCautosolutions yes, drum brakes on the rear.
@@teslamr7333 you the back your shoe and all contact points need to be lubricated for the noise.
Haven’t driven my 2020 accord hybrid that often in the past year. I see both sides rear brake rotors have built a non-shiny outer section, presumably only the outer pads are in contact??? What should I do?
I did all lubrication work myself a year ago and pads still have decent life; it stops fine, so I don’t want to waste money in replacing everything now…
I’ll address that question.
My 2009 Accord blows 34F at the vents. 2021 Pilot, 44F.
R1234yf is 😬
@@BCautosolutions I had a 2019 Subaru that could get down to 37F consistently, and it was running R1234yf.
No wonder there were so many owners of later Hondas coming into the service department complaining about A/C not being cold enough to deal with blazing hot weather.
@@BCautosolutions Is Honda/Acura using variable displacement compressors for the ac system?
After getting the hot air out of the cab, as he describes in his video, put the AC on high and hit the recirculation button. I don't do well in the heat and have yet to ride in a Honda/Acura vehicle whose working AC is lacking.
Question how does Honda drl light extended warranty works I have a 2017 touring accord and my drl went out at 37k miles
I believe it’s 10 years unlimited miles. Go get your free headlights 👍🏻
What's your opinion on the refreshed 2025 Civic Hybrid replacing the 1.5T in the Civic lineup?
Love it, can go into more detail in a video.
My '18 Accord has outright slammed on the brakes on more than one occasion when I've been on the highway and there's a shadow across the road.
Oem tail lights? No cracks or moisture in them? I bet that was scary for sure.
@@BCautosolutions OEM. No cracks or moisture.
@@ixiwixi hopefully whatever they are investigating takes care of this issue.
I turned off collision mitigation ever since it braked with nothing in front of me.
What about the trans on the 8th gen accords transmissions with the 2.4L motor, any problems with the trans? What are the other common problems? Specifically the 2008-2012 year models
I can make a video on those, I haven’t done a common video just yet. It’s a pretty lengthy list.
@@BCautosolutions oh no I was looking at some to buy hah
2014 accord back camera went blank but still with guild lines, replaced camera still blank and no guild lines. diagnosis pls.
Oem camera? Did you plug it in? Check for bent pins.
ideas on the j35y1 accords having oil pump seepage and rear main seals seepage?
I’ll address the j series as a whole for that.
@@BCautosolutions ok thanks, two dealers missed this one who did a steering rack job on my car
@@bigpapi88 🤦🏻♂️
I'm thinking of upgrading my intercooler to PRL on my TLX Type S would it give me better flow
I’ll answer this question in a video considering there’s a lot of misunderstandings of what intercoolers do
@@BCautosolutions Ok thx
Thanks for answering my brake question. Very helpful video all around.
Glad to answer anytime
Will the car indicate that it needs the transmission service or do I need to be pretty proactive? Just had the oil changed at 30k on my 2.0t Sport, dealer didnt say squat about trans service
It’ll tell you although typically way too late for my likings
@@BCautosolutions Okay sounds good, I'll get it done at 35k with my next oil change, appreciate the info!
@@BennyT_3434 absolutely
Are they coming out with a new passport this year?
I’m not sure but everyone keeps asking 😅
I’m in the market for a used 2021-2022 Honda Pilot EX-L
Do you recommend the vehicle?
The thing that has me worry is that VCM.
I have a 2019 touring and it’s been great (knock on wood). The biggest issue is the fakra dilema although we finally have a decent repair for that. I have a common issue video on the 2019+ pilot if you want to check it out.
@@BCautosolutions thanks for you answer
do you have the VCM muzzler install on yours?
@@carlosmelendez7247 I do not and have no plans on doing it
@@BCautosolutions Thank you for all your answers
@@carlosmelendez7247 absolutely
Looks like they are dropping the 1.5 turbo from 2025 Civics and adding a hybrid model, can you share any insights?
Actually want to do a whole video on it but no 1.5t is great news for the consumer that doesn’t know any better.
@@BCautosolutions Bravo!
Guess we will see with the si if it keeps its 1.5t
