SFDD Prevented & Saved The Customer from Electrical Fire Tragedy:
Step 1 - ALSF Installation: The ALSF Smart Device was installed in a commercial building to ensure the safety of its occupants and properties from electrical fire hazards.
Step 2 - Problem Detected: The unique "LED Fault Indicator" feature of the ALSF immediately detected a wiring fault on one of the floors by triggering the red LED.
Step 3 - Root Cause Identified:
• After identifying the fault, the specialist checked the first RCCB for an arc fault, finding it to be working fine with no issues.
• The specialist then checked the second RCCB and identified an arc fault when an arc sound was heard from the unit. The RCCB was malfunctioning.
In 3 Easy Steps, Problem Solved Once the root cause of the problem was resolved, the ALSF turned green, indicating no electrical fire hazards were present.
REMARK: The RCCB was not replaced, and no new one was required, as the ALSF's microprocessor technology integrates RCCB and SPD functions for short circuit and surge protection.
