I have just GOT to met mine restored and back on the road, and better do it soon too before they ban petrol and anything internal combustion!!! Idyllic country run in an iconic car with a great soundtrack - awesome! 😎👍
Yeah the cockpit really sets the MK1 apart for me. Has a fighter jet feel, so efficient and close, but somehow not cramped or intrusive for me at nearly 6'4". MK2 is just a little more lounge like, and MK3 doesn't even try.
Totally agree. My sound game sucks. I've since bought some audio gear that should make my vids less windy. Setup is time consuming and deliberate though so I need to just leave it in the car ready for my next impromptu drive. The wide angle GoPro shot really illustrates the greenhouse.
@@ADub-Bub Very cool car. You've got a survivor.. I bet it's a blast to drive.. I personally think this era of Toyotas are better than today's cars. I just find them better in so many ways, from quality of materials to durability. There's no feeling of chinese cheapness to them when you get in. Sports car tech has come a long way for sure, but a car like this is so much more fun to drive. with a frame and design like this you barely need around 200hp to have fun. It's one of those cars that doesn't need a 500hp powerplant to get a rush. It's light and nimble, and also tactile and mechanical.
Nothing like a scenic cruise through the country side In an aw11 t-top. Awesome feels

Wow, thanks tons!
I absolutely, positively, need a car with glass t-tops. That view is amazing.
Yeah some days the ttop is essential.
Man that cockpit is insane! One day I will own one of each mr2

the T-tops make it look like it opens like a spaceship
Cool video. Would love to hear more engine sounds though. I had no idea this car had an almost panoramic view with the T top

awesome. your shifter is super short. 93+ and drop plate?
No, it's just a DIY cut/weld mod. I'm still refining it and will post a video once I'm happy with it.
